Jobs are Salsola's version of Co-Ranks. Jobs are entirely separate from the IC hierarchy and have no true hierarchy of their own – while some Jobs require their occupant to work closely with those in other Jobs, all Jobs are considered equally important.

A Salsolan's Job may affect his or her prestige. Exceptional performance may result in regular hierarchy promotions; conversely, consistently poor performance may result in the loss of Job and demotion. Failure to fulfill one's pack duty is insulting and outright dangerous to all of Salsola. Salsolan Jobs are split into three cohesive categories: Domestic Jobs, Defense Jobs, and Depository Jobs. These categories all provide extremely important roles in keeping the Thistle Kingdom functional and wealthy.

Salsola has a multitude of frequently-changing available jobs. For the most updated versions and descriptions of Salsolan Jobs that are taken and available, please take a look at our Jobs Table.

Jobs are named in either Italian or Spanish. Some Jobs are gender-neutral, while others specify the current occupant's gender. For example, if a male were to hold the Sapienzo/a Job, he would be the Sapienzo. If a female were to hold the rank, she would be a Sapienza.

Domestic

Defense

Depository

Domestic Jobs primarily related to the care and health of Salsola's membership, as well as territory improvements and responsibilities related to the upkeep of the Thistle Kingdom. This tier of jobs is intended to make the territory of Salsola as hospitable to its inhabitants as possible; additionally, the Jobs relevant to members are intended to promote a cohesive Family group.

Some examples of Domestic Jobs are: Ancella (Maid), Creatore (Builder), Curandero (Healer), Segno (scarification/tattoo specialist).

Defense Jobs relate directly to Salsola's defensive provisions, as the name would suggest. This tier of jobs typically deals with militant aspects of the pack, including dealing with outsider threats and ensuring that Salsola is safe to prosper and build its reputation. Considering the Thistle Kingdom’s infamy, as its power has grown, so has the number of its enemies - These jobs are essential to ensuring that Salsolans can continue living their daily lives in peace.

Some examples of Defense Jobs are: Informatore (Spy), Milite (Warrior), Vedetto (Scout), Collettore (Catcher).

Depository Jobs are essential to the continuation of the Thistle Kingdom’s great wealth, and involve the maintenance of Salsola's storage and stock of items, plants, livestock, etc. These ranks focus on the various trade goods and other items Salsola has acquired. Some ranks -- e.g., the Vaquero with the Stables or the Conserje with the Storage -- are dedicated to one particular area of Salsola's goods. Depository Jobs also include individuals who are very capable traders.

Some examples of Depository Jobs are: Cazador (Hunter), Signorino (Slave Master), Vaquero (Cowboy), Mercante (Merchant).

Fluid

Occasionally, characters will have an extremely specialized or rare skill. In these cases, the leadership may create a specific job for that character.

Rules
Prior to applying for a fluid Job, you must note the following:

 • Check out our current Jobs and ensure none are suitable for your character.
 • Make sure your proposed Job does not fit into any existing Jobs. E.g., please don't propose a Job specifically for maintaining feed stocks in the Stables; this job is too specific and would be covered by the Vaquero.
 • Understand that Fluid Jobs cannot be usurped.
 • In order to maintain your Fluid Job, your character should periodically perform their duties in a thread. Submit the thread to the Salsola Maintenance thread. Failure to do so at least once every three months may result in your fluid Job being stripped, especially if there are other players with characters desirous of a fluid Job.

1.  General Rules

 • Characters may hold a maximum of two Jobs. Your Jobs must be within the same tier of duties, unless you seek special permission from the leadership.
 • Jobs are primarily for played characters, however in some instances cNPCs may be approved to earn a Job. cNPCs are not permitted to hold Jobs in which only one slot is available. In the event that all slots for a Job are taken, a played character will be able to usurp any cNPC in that role. If you are interested in earning your cNPC a Job, please contact SL Leadership for approval.
 • Characters may usurp Jobs. Fluid Jobs may not be usurped.
 • Associates, Serfs, and Bambino may not hold Jobs.

1.1  Challenges

1.2  Usurping

 • Completion of a challenge means you have written 1,200 words within the thread. It does not matter how many posts you've made.
 • If the thread dies due to inactivity, it must be the fault of your partner(s).
 • Read Only threads are allowed; use of NPCs is encouraged.
 • If your character wishes to obtain a currently occupied Job, you MUST Private Message the player and discuss usurping with them. Try to come to your own conclusions and outcomes: remember, it is fun to lose and regain Jobs, and it can help to introduce a healthily competitive environment into Salsola.
 • If you cannot come to an agreement with your fellow player, please contact the leadership; if you are uncomfortable approaching your rank's occupant in the first place, you can ask us to approach them for you, too.

2.  Submit a Job

If you have ideas for a possible Job, you may absolutely submit them to us; they'll be listed on this page for others to view and possibly use themselves!

Please post to the Salsola Maintenance thread if you are claiming a Job or proposing an idea for one.

[*] Proposed Job name: Remember the Naming Conventions -- Italian or Spanish only, please! c: Also include the TRANSLATION of the word you've chosen.
[*] Proposed Job Challenges: Come up with two different Challenges you can complete for this job. If you get stuck, you may leave this for the leaders.

3.  Domestic Jobs

Domestic Jobs primarily related to the care of Salsola's membership and territory improvements. This tier of jobs is intended to make the territory of Salsola as enjoyable as possible; additionally, the Jobs relevant to members (e.g., Reclutadore, Segno) are intended to promote a cohesive Family group.

Ancella (Maid)

Challenges

This rank is intended primarily for female applicants; superior physical appearance and sweet temperament are preferred. The Ancella's duties include cleaning leaders' homes; they are also expected to sort, clean, and maintain the leadership's possessions. Additionally, the Ancella is acts as a babysitter for any pups within the pack.

 • Have at least one thread with a leader and assist them in grooming or den maintenance.
 • Interact with at least one Salsolan child; educate or care for them. If there are no Bambinos, discuss child-rearing with an adult in Salsola.

Creatore (Builder)

Challenges

The Creatore is responsible for the creation and maintenance of various buildings and other structures on Salsola's territory. This canine should be well-versed in some form of construction: carpentry, masonry, etc. While the larger buildings are this canine's primary concern, smaller projects may be undertaken as well -- e.g., crafting small items for Salsola's use.

 • Expand a current structure on Salsola's territory -- e.g., the Stables or a building in the Millstone.
 • Gather building materials for future projects: tools, raw lumber, brick, etc.

Curandero/a (Healer)

Challenges

The Curandero are healers and spiritualists. These canines should be able to use herbs and have basic medic training. In addition, these canines assist spiritual pursuits within Salsola -- they should be well-versed in the pack's spiritual tendencies.

 • Participate in a pack ritual. Your character may be an active participant or an observer.
 • Heal or treat one sick or injured Salsolan. The injury or illness should be moderate to severe; it won't count if your character heals up a paper-cut or fixes a sore throat!

Historiador (Historian)

Challenges

The Historiador keeps a detailed roster of the pack’s members and a log of pack’s history. Births, deaths, mateships, servants (communal and personal), and other important historical information are cataloged. The Historiador must be capable of writing; inconsistencies, errors, and inaccuracies are the Historiador's responsibility.

 • Obtain or create something to record Salsola's history.
 • Discover Salsola's history.

Reclutador (Recruiter)

Challenges

The Reclutador is expected to meet with outsiders and recruit the best of them for Salsola. Reclutadors are often personable and persuasive; they should also have strong understanding of the pack's culture.

 • Introduce a new recruit to Salsola's culture, ideals, and traditions. The Reclutador-hopeful does not need to have recruited this character themselves.
 • Recruit a member. The Reclutador-hopeful does not need to be the sponsor, but the recruit must be accepted into Salsola.

Segno/a (Flesh Artist)

Challenges

The Segno rank is responsible for marking Salsolan members with the Hand of Eris; the Segno must be well-versed in the pack ritual of Cotona. S/he may work with the Curandero Job for healing advice. The Segno must bear the scarification mark him or herself.

 • Undergo the Cotona ritual with another Salsolan.
 • Perform the Cotona ritual on another Salsola member.

Witch

Challenges

A noted member of the infamous Coven of Salsola, generally ruled over by the Crone. Attends to their own spiritual needs, aids in sorcery and (un)holy rites to help defend Salsola/allow it to flourish, or even worships at various sites of power within Salsola's territory claim (i.e the haunted Blackwoods). Does not need to adhere to any specific religion!

Please pick two Challenges, though completing all three certainly won't count against you.

 • Undertake a ritual for the benefit of yourself, another pack member, or the overall good and prosperity of Salsola (example: a sacrifice, a fasting spell, a blood-rite, be creative! Even a spooky prayer or song will work!). CAN be a RO, does not require another character in attendance.
 • Discuss your witchy beliefs with another member of Salsola. They should identify you as one of the coven by the end of this thread, if you do not outright say it yourself. This thread can take place with another so-called Witch. Bonus points if this thread is with a member of the Sanctus Faction, or with the Crone themselves!
 • Scare an Outsider with spooky voodoo, or cast a menacing hex on them! Let your witchy infamy grow by intimidating an individual with your scary beliefs. This thread should involve an Outsider/someone who is NOT a Salsolan. Bonus points if another Witch joins you!

4.  Defense Jobs

Defense Jobs relate to Salsola's defensive provisions, as the name would suggest. This tier of jobs typically deals with foreign relations and dealing with outsider threats. Some positions, such as the Mercante, do focus on crafting relations with foreign groups, however.

Cavalleria (Calvary)

Challenges

Salsola has always held great pride in the quality of its horseflesh. In combination with this pack asset, and our natural desire to remain defended against those who would seek to undermine or oppose us, springs forth the Cavalleria - the mounted warrior, a specialist in horseback combat. This individual will answer to the Gamekeeper (or the Equinest if there is no Gamekeeper) in times of need.

Please pick two Challenges, though completing all three certainly won't count against you.

 • Extensively train a Salsolan horse in combat. Warhorses are a great asset to the pack, but only if they are diligently and skillfully taught!
 • Exercise your skill as a mounted warrior by defending Salsolan territory or a Salsolan packmate against danger! May be against an Outsider or a wild animal, bonus points if another Salsolan is in the thread.
 • Teach another rider an attack move to be used on horseback. This will be easier if the other rider already has some skill in horse husbandry, however, fails are still accepted for the Job request! Your teaching does not need to be successful, only an attempt must be made. Bonus points if weaponry is used.

Collettore (Trap Maker)

Challenges

A specialized role, the Collettore are canines whose cleverness is put to use in the creation and maintenance of Salsola's border traps. They are expected to establish and maintain these, as well as check the quarry of such traps on a daily basis.

 • Build a new trap for Salsola's borders; make sure that this is well marked so that Salsola members don't get caught in it! This can be a fatal or non-fatal trap, but should be unique in location from those listed on the Wiki.
 • Repair one of Salsola's established traps. Sometimes animals damage these or they are set off accidentally. Ensure that these are still in working condition.

Informatore (Spy)

Challenges

This canine primarily acts as a spy and keeps up with the knowledge of all packs, as Salsola finds it necessary to be aware of other pack functions at all times. When the Sapienzo is deployed, the Informatore receives their communication and delivers the messages to the leader ranks.

 • Spend at least two weeks away from Salsola, gathering information about other packs. This can be a lot of information relevant to one particular pack, or a briefer report on all the packs, or a similar alternative of your choosing.
 • Thread with a member of a foreign pack. Gain information about their pack WITHOUT revealing that your character is a member of Salsola.

Interrogante (Interrogator)

Challenges

The Interrogante is responsible for interrogating Salsola's enemies. Generally deployed only in extreme situations, the Interrogante must know how to extract information from the most stalwart canines. The Interrogante is required to maintain a private enclave away from Salsola where interrogations are conducted.

 • Locate an enclave away from Salsola for interrogations. Bring a Salsola member of trust (i.e., Confidant or above) along -- encountering a Loner or other pack member is an automatic fail.
 • Prove your character's ability to extract information -- discover something secretive about a foreign pack.

Mercante (Merchant)

Challenges

Canines in this job perform a particularly important role where it comes to foreign relations. The Mercante exists specifically to craft trade relations with foreign entities. A Mercante-hopeful should be persuasive of speech and cool-headed; additionally, the ability to capitalize on opportunities (especially at the expense of foreign traders) is a must.

 • Trade for an item, plant, or livestock animal to be added to Salsola's various provisions.
 • Travel at least 150 miles away from Salsola to trade with a more distant group or individual.

Milite (Warrior)

Challenges

This Job is intended for those strong of heart. These are the defensive warriors of Salsola, and as such, they must keep their fighting skills sharp. Male applicants are preferred for this Job, though women may also compete. Characters with an uneven temperament (e.g., the insane) are not considered for this Job; Salsola's warriors are not meant to provoke attacks, only defend from them.

 • Engage another, more skilled canine in training. The skilled canine may be a foreigner, but if this is the case, your character should not reveal their connection to Salsola.
 • Defend a fellow Salsola member from an attack.

Sapienzo/a (Infiltrator)

Challenges

The Sapienzo infiltrates other packs at the leadership's request; this Job joins another pack while retaining Salsola membership (and allegiance). The Sapienzo communicates with the Informatore Job to relay information back to Salsola; messenger birds, notes in trees, and other surreptitious methods are preferred.

 • If there is currently an Informatore, thread with them and discuss your characters' method of relaying information back to Salsola. If there is no Informatore, have a thread establishing this information relay with another Salsola member.
 • Thread with a member of another pack and gain information about that pack WITHOUT revealing that your character is a member of Salsola.

Vedetto/a (Scout)

Challenges

The Vedetto ranks are scouts, quick to neutralize threats along the border and intercept any would-be trespassers. They often work in conjunction with the Collettore.

 • Find something (or someone) caught in one of the border traps, and deal with this appropriately.
 • Encounter a trespasser -- make them leave. The means can be violent or non-violent.

5.  Depository Jobs

Depository Jobs are primarily relative to Salsola's storage and stock of items, plants, livestock, etc. These ranks focus on the various trade goods and other items Salsola has acquired. Some ranks -- e.g., the Vaquero with the Stables or the Conserje with the Storage -- are dedicated to one particular area of Salsola's goods.

Artesano/a (Craftsman / Artisan)

Challenges

In furthering the wealth of the Thistle Kingdom, a new tier of merchants have stepped forward. These are the Artesanos, skilled craftsmen and artisans who bring their specialized knowledge in creating and working with unique materials to supplement the citizens of Salsola.

Please note: Artesanos should be specialized in ONE MATERIAL/ITEM TYPE ONLY - for example, Wolf is a specialist at crafting items from wood, and he may make a number of items from wood, but he cannot ALSO be a specialist in iron or rope-made items. Coyote is a specialist at making tack for horses - she can make horse tack from multiple materials, but cannot ALSO be a specialist in making weaponry or woodworking. This crafting skill is of such quality that your character simply does not have time to realistically specialize in more than one thing.

Your character's specialization will appear in brackets beside their Job title, i.e "Artesano (horse tack)". If you are not certain if a specialty is suitable, please simply PM us to check!

Please pick two Challenges, though completing all three certainly won't count against you.

 • Develop your skills by practicing! Your character should realistically have multiple threads in which they are working at/practicing/perfecting their craft. If your character does not spend a reasonable portion of their time devoting themselves to this skill, then it is likely NOT worthy of this Job!
 • Create a custom-made item for a fellow Salsolan - This can be either as a request or as a gift. The item should be from your specific Item Type or Material specialty.
 • Trade a crafted item with an Outsider to reap those $$$ benefits. Bonus points if the Outsider is from another pack, and not just a Loner/NPC!

Cazador (Hunter)

Challenges

Often the most skilled hunters in Salsola, this trio of canines excels at feeding the Family and keeps knowledge of prey activity around Salsola. The Cazador is skilled in land game; they are responsible for noting any herd movement within or around Salsola. The Cazadors are responsible for Last Supper preparations.

 • Capture a feral animal and bring it back -- alive -- to be kept on pack territory until the next Last Supper.
 • Prepare for the Last Supper. Salsola can always use food or spice stores for the Supper.

Conserje (Maintainer)

Challenges

The Conserje position is important -- this canine is responsible for overseeing all of Salsola's stores. S/he may work closely with the Equinest or Shepherd for reports regarding Salsola's Stables; s/he may confer with the Mietitore regarding the Garden; however, upkeep of the Storage area is the sole responsibility of the Conserje.

 • Engage the Mietitore or Vaquero -- confer with them regarding the Garden or Stables. If none of these Jobs are occupied, the Conserje-hopeful must inspect either the Garden or Stables inventory themselves.
 • Add to the inventory of the Storage area. The addition should be an entirely new item.

Mandriano/a (Shepherd)

Challenges

This position is specifically dedicated to the collection of goods and making of materials originating from Salsola's livestock.

 • Harvest animal products from Salsola's communal livestock (e.g., collect eggs from chickens, shear sheep, milk goats and cattle).
 • Create or refine animal products into valuable goods (e.g., wash and comb fleece, curdle milk into cheese).

Mietitore (Agriculturist)

Challenges

This canine is the pack's agriculturalist, proficient in cultivating and using plants. The Mietitore is in charge of the Garden and its products; additionally, the Mietitore must monitor the mushroom supplies on Isle Haute.

 • Tend to the Garden. Even in winter, mulch can be laid down and other maintenance can be performed.
 • Provide at least one medicinal plant for communal uses. Their uses should be well-known -- writing instructions is great!

Pescador (Fisherman)

Challenges

The Pescador is specifically gifted in hunting where the ocean, river, and lakes are concerned -- they should be an accomplished fisherman. The Pescador must have intimate knowledge of Salsola's various waterways and the fishes found within them.

Please pick two Challenges, though completing all three certainly won't count against you.

 • Fish in one of Salsola's many waterways. Remember, different techniques are more successful for different fish in different areas! Maybe you're successful, maybe you're not!
 • Prepare for the Last Supper. Salsola can always use food or spice stores for the Supper. If there isn't one in the works, prepare your fish so it will last while in storage (i.e. smoking, salting, etc.)!
 • Prepare for fishing! Catch or prepare bait, craft nets, spears or hooks, prepare your version of fishing line, set up your traps, etc.

Signorino/a (Mendicant Master)

Challenges

The Signorino is responsible for aiding in servant care. Primary duties include feeding, educating, and punishing servants that overstep their lowly rank. While the Signorino needn't be kind-hearted, this Job must ensure that communal servants are not abused without reason, and kept in good health.

 • Treat one of the servants for a malady, such as a cold or minor injury. If the Signorino is not trained for this, have another Family member assist.
 • Guide a servant through preparations for a Last Supper.

Vaquero/a (Cowboy)

Challenges

The Vaqueros often include or work closely with the Equinest, assisting in the overseeing of livestock; specifically with horses. S/he is expected to be a skilled horseman and capable of breaking green horses, capturing wild ones, and knowing enough to assist with the other livestock should no Equinest be present. In addition to upkeep with the horses in Salsola’s Stables, the Vaquero is additionally responsible for keeping up-to-date information on the Bay Horses.

 • Work with one of Salsola's horses, either by breaking a wild one or teaching another something new -- refer to training tips for examples.
 • Observe the Bay Horses and inform the Equinest of any changes. If there is no Equinest, report to a member of the Sotto Capo or above.

6.  Fluid Jobs

Occasionally, characters will have an extremely specialized or rare skill. In these cases, the leadership may create a specific job for that character.

Prior to applying for a fluid Job, you must:
 • Check out our current Jobs and ensure none are suitable for your character.
 • Make sure your proposed Job does not fit into any existing Jobs. E.g., please don't propose a Job specifically for maintaining feed stocks in the Stables; this job is too specific and would be covered by the Vaquero.
Rules
 • Fluid Jobs cannot be usurped.
 • In order to maintain your fluid Job, your character should periodically perform their duties in a thread. Submit the thread to the Salsola Maintenance thread. Failure to do so at least once every three months may result in your fluid Job being stripped, especially if there are other players with characters desirous of a fluid Job.
Essentially – it's a lot of work for us to absolutelypositively require everyone to submit threads and check them, but if you're doing threads relevant to your Job anyway, save us a bit of trouble and just let us know? c:

Boticario/a (Apothecary) (VACANT)

Challenges

(Depository) The purpose of the job is to maintain/create supplies that contribute to the health and enjoyment of Salsolans. Making and adding supplies to the clinic, and the creation of foods and goods from raw materials are duties that fall to the Boticario.

 • Add some supplies to Salsola's medic clinic — remember the Boticario is a crafter, so the item cannot be just raw materials! Some examples include crafted bone needles, or jars of saltwater or alcohol for wound cleansing.
 • Craft a healthful or recreational supply for the use of any Salsolan or add it to the communal stores.

Birraio/a (Brewer) (Narcissa Greygrief)

Challenges

(Depository) The Birrario is an individual that crafts tasty beverages, be it teas, ales, wines, punches, etc. If it's a liquid that is consumed, the Birrario is there to craft, mix, and serve. In a society that markets itself as sophisticated, the Birrario can be a well sought after individual.

 • Make a unique drink of your own! Either blend herbs for tea or find the perfect mix of fruit, cereal, or other ingredients to create a fermented drink.
 • What good is making all this if there's no one else to enjoy the fruits of your labor? Have a thread where at least one other Salsoan samples your creation. Your character should be able to explain what their brew is, though they needn't share all their trade secrets.

Chiromante (Fortune Teller) (VACANT)

Challenges

(Domestic) This job is based in the spirits -- this canine reads fortunes for those within Salsola, foretelling their future and predicting information about their past (or past lives). The Chiromante may be consulted for spiritual advice and predictions regarding a specific problem in a Salsolan's life, or Salsolans may consult with the Chiromante regarding broader problems, as well as the Chiromante's prediction of public reactions and consequences.

 • Read the fortune of a fellow Salsolan.
 • Create a space within Salsola where your character can tell fortunes, and outfit it accordingly (e.g., crystals, creepy things, etc.)

Cocinero/a (Cook) (VACANT)

Challenges

(Domestic) This position is dedicated to preparation of foods, especially cooked meals.

Please pick two Challenges, though completing all three certainly won't count against you.

 • Design and create a special or unique dish for the Last Supper or an equally important event. If necessary, engage with the Cazador or the Signorino to discuss Last Supper preparations.
 • Bring a home cooked meal or other edible gifts to an injured, unwell or otherwise indisposed packmate.
 • Bolster the food or spice stores e.g., drying/salting of meat and herbs, preservation of spices.

Consiglio/a (Adviser) (VACANT)

Challenges

(Domestic) The Consiglio is a therapeutic position within the pack. This canine exists to facilitate relations between individuals within Salsola in order to strengthen the group as a whole. Advice and counseling should be this canine's primary focus -- where the Chiromante focuses on the spiritual aspect, the Consiglio rules the practical realm, proposing solutions to problems Salsolans face in their relations with other pack members.

 • Help improve relationships with the Family, either by resolving issues between members or helping Associates gain trust in (and of) Salsola.
 • Use any form of therapy to help improve a member's mental health.

Costurera (Seamstress) (VACANT)

Challenges

(Domestic) The Costurera is Salsola's most talented garment maker, and generally responsible for providing such skill for disguise and other such needs. This skill is often accompanied by means of acquiring or making materials such as yarn, cloth, and like-materials.

 • Create an elaborate or practical article of clothing for a high-ranking member of Salsola.
 • Gather or create materials needed for clothing crafting, ie. wool, silk, leather etc.

Libro Guardiano/a (Librarian) (Idrieus Eternity)

Challenges

(Depository) Knowledge is power, and, in Salsola, it is highly valued. The Libro Guardiano maintains the largest collection of books and other written materials in the pack, of which, they are expected to maintain. They often act as council for members seeking logical solutions to problems.

 • Procure books to add to one's own personal collection, either through trade, scavenging, or making it yourself.
 • Council another member in regards to problems requiring practical solutions.

Maniscalco/a (Blacksmith) (VACANT)

Challenges

(Depository) This job requires someone skilled in the art of maintaining a forge and crafting metal-work supplies. They should be skilled in various creations, from useful tools like nails to more complex weaponry.

 • Create a weapon for a high-ranking member of Salsola.
 • Craft or repair a tool important to the pack.

Profumiere (Perfumer) (VACANT)

Challenges

(Domestic) The Profumiere exists within Salsola to provide a means of perfuming oneself, either for aesthetic reasoning or reasons of disguise. The Profumiere should be proficient in the creation of perfumes and scented oils, and they should keep stock of a variety of differing scents for pack use. This skill may also accompany plant cultivation skills, as certain scented plants may not be readily available within Salsola's pre-existing garden or plant stock.

 • Grow your own scented flowers and make oil yourself. If your character does not know these techniques, they must learn them.
 • Trade in the pack or make a gift of the oil to a member or trade for essential oils or fully made perfumes from Portland.

Veleno/a (Poisoner) (Argive Hemlock)

Challenges

(Defense) This canine is skilled in arts of poisoning -- they should be adept at the creation and use of poisonous substances.

 • Learn to make poisons to use for silent murders and manufacture some for Salsolan defense.
 • Use the poison to kill an enemy of Salsola or test it on other animals for potency.
