Donating items / goods to this page is welcomed and encouraged!
- If you do not feel comfortable updating the Wiki or cannot, please make use of our Maintenance Thread!
These items are intended to be used as a communal resource — as such, you may not damage or destroy any of the items listed here.
Members are welcome to occasionally "borrow" or "check out" sources here, however, while there is no official "check out" log, it is expected that borrowed resources are returned in a short and timely manner — remember, there are others that may want to use them too!
All history and documentation-like literatures are limited to what is public knowledge. This means that, for example, while certain information may be mentioned on history or family wiki pages, not everything listed may actually be written in our books, as certain bits of information may not be common knowledge In-Character. If you're unsure, always feel free to ask the appropriate/involved parties! ;)
Please heed the tags that notate each item's usage and/or the sharing of their information.

Open Resource — This resource and its information may be viewed and shared with all.
Confidential — This resource and its information is not allowed to be shared with non-Salsolans.
Secret — This resource and its information is not allowed to be shared with non-Salsolans, and can only be viewed by members ranking in Family and above.

2. Usage

These are a few ways to make use of this communal feature! (Hide)

As the library is a public place, it is open at all hours and for all ranks. However, restricted areas are kept under lock and key.
- Members of proper rank may assume that they were given access to restricted areas.
- Please do not have your character successfully break into the restricted areas that they should not be allowed access to :(
Individuals of, or aligned to, the Lore Faction, as well as various different Jobs, may frequent the library or otherwise find regular use of it.
The library is a wealth of information for the curious and scholarly-types! Make use of it as such! Perhaps you're an Associate trying to learn more about the Kingdom, a Bambino forced to take lessons because of a tutor/parent/guardian, a Salsolan merely with an interest for reading or a place to do one's studies, two Salsolans trying to communicate in secret, or, maybe you're trying to fact-check something that just doesn't add up... Your library scenario is what you make of it ;)
Donate — Whatever the item(s), the Kingdom thanks you for adding to our communal library and resource hub!
Repairs & Creation — The library is intended to have materials needed for repairing literature items, as well as for creating new ones and/or copies of older works.
Item Quality — Remember! Not all things are in the same state of quality! Older items will show their age, and some things may show unfortunate damage! Have fun with it!
Scrolls & Rolled Parchments — are all rolled separately unless they are part of a multi-part series, in which, they are rolled within one another to keep them together and apart from non-related editions, versions, etc. Each scroll/rolled parchment is tied closed with a piece of twine, ribbon, cord, etc.
Items that are marked as Secret or Top Secret are kept in a separate area, and are typically maintained by the Libro Guardiano and/or a member of the Lore Faction. Members who are not of appropriate rank will be denied access to the resource.

Summary:
Steamy romance novel. When a pretty, young, and sweet dog named Ivory Gleam gets separated from her family's trading caravan after a raid by highway bandits, she finds herself in desperate need of help. She is found by a handsome but cold wolf named Granite Razortooth who has a mysterious and ominous past. Begrudgingly, he agrees to protect her and help her traverse the woodlands and find her family again. However, can he stop Ivory from thawing his frigid heart in the process?

This book contains the history and breed standards of the Pauson horse. A breeding registry is also notated in this book. Contributions and edits to this book is generally restricted to the Ranger Faction, specifically, the Equinest and/or their apprentices.

Salsolan House Scrolls

Physical Description:
Multiple scrolls. Each scroll has different fastening ribbons to depict the House's colors for easy record-pulling. The parchments themselves may be more or less decorated depending on that House's members' preferences and their emblems/symbols.
Summary:
Contains the family linages (trees) of Salsola's many different hereditary Houses. Only officially known and/or recognized births, deaths, relations/members, and/or mateships are notated on these scrolls. Secret trysts, children, etc. are, obviously, usually not found in these records. House statuses are also noted on these pieces of parchment. Unofficial or "true" linage scrolls may be kept elsewhere by House members, however, the records stored at the library are what are officially known and recognized by the Thistle Crown and its citizens.

Summary:
Donated by various members over the years, these maps notate the locations of the traps that are scattered around the Thistle Kingdom's borders. These maps range widely due to having different authors and contributors, but each map is marked with what version they are so that members may know which is the most up-to-date.

Various, highly detailed and high-quality maps were donated from Summer 2022 by Confidant Grisha Darkleaf.

Catapult Blueprints, Translated

Physical Description:
Multiple rolled parchments.
Summary:
These blueprints explain how catapults are built, and come with notes on how to use them and their limitations, all of which were detailed by the blueprints' original authors ^{(1, 2)}. Although the original authors are not known, it is known that the blueprints and their catapult were war spoils from the Liberation of New Caledonia.

Contribution Notes

The copy was donated by Emissary Kamari in early-spring of 2022 after the blueprints and their real-life counterparts were thoroughly examined by Tradesman Duncan, Confidant Bogdan, and Family Member Flint. The original blueprints were written in German, from which, Kamari translated. Where the originals are now, however, is "unknown".

Summary:
Donated by various members over the years, these maps detail the expanse of the lands beyond the Thistle Kingdom. Some are a small-scale map that covers a broader area, whereas, others, are a large-scale map of a smaller, more specific area of note. These maps are titled of what they depict, and typically show notable landmarks, areas of interest, roads, trails, areas to avoid or are impassable, etc. Many of these maps are Confidential due to Salsola not wanting others to know what Salsola does/does not know.
While we understand that this description is purposely ambiguous to avoid unnecessary clutter on this page, we ask that players remember to not break 'SoulsRPG Game rules re: Godmoding and Metagaming. While Salsola may have maps that roughly outline another pack's borders, we should not have detailed maps of another pack's inner-territory, for example. Maps should also be limited to areas found in playable-'Souls.

Donated by various members over the years, these maps are of the pack's residential ruins and Millstone Village areas dating back to its Founding. Despite the variation in detail and quality between maps, they all outline the broader placement of various dwellings, fields, and major roads. Notable obstacles or perimeters, such as fences, hedges, and streams/creeks or the like may also be depicted.

Contribution Notes

A series of highly detailed and high-quality maps were donated in Spring 2022 by Family Member Grisha. In addition to the above, his maps highlight specific areas, such as the Central, Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western districts, as well as the outer lying country areas and Millstone Village. His maps also mark smaller and more secretive trails/pathways, but only if one can read the subtle markers for them.
