Galilee Haskel is the daughter of Skoll Haskel, born in Cour des Miracles.
When she was a few months old, her mother Aurelya Shandara went missing, the catalyst for a subtle change in Galilee. Witnessing her father nearly throw his life away, and dealing with the aftermath of his overprotective tendencies, Lee quietly resolved to chase opportunity and become the best person and warrior she could be. Following her first shift, her relationship with her father improved as he allowed her much-needed independence; he became her foremost fighting instructor. Lee also pursued another unique relationship: one with the dolphins that swam along the Kingdom's coast.
Galilee participated in the Winter of Tarnished Gold as a rebel, and became one of Reine Kalypso Savoy's first supporters. She later became a big sister to Oberyn and Issola.
When Cour des Miracles disbanded in the wake of La Marea's assaults, Galilee remained with her family in the Petite Cour until the remnants, too, dispersed. Wandering without structure, partying and getting into scraps, Lee had a chance meeting with another loner that led her to join The Troupe, where she serves as a guard.

1. Appearance
1.1 Basics
Physical
A high-content wolfdog, Galilee most resembles a timber wolf in build, with little indication of dog heritage but for her thick coat's rich color. Her facial features are softer than one would expect, however, with a long demure muzzle, wide eyes, and proportionally large ears. Her pretty face is home to large teeth, which are often on display.
Galilee is tall, lean, and sinewy -- her height and athletic build usually what one first notices. She has broad shoulders and long limbs, with compact musculature like her mother. Only a hint of femininity softens her sharp angles; she has a rectangular body type. Overall, she is built for endurance.

1.2 Miscellaneous
Interaction
|
AdornmentsGalilee shifts often and dislikes constricting clothing, so it takes a special occasion (and someone to wrangle her into something) for her to dress. She does have a necklace she always wears, however.

2. Personality
2.1 SummaryRaised by proud, competent, and sometimes foolhardy parents, Galilee has inherited the best and worst of their traits. She is spontaneous and fun-loving, generally upbeat and willing to treat everyone as a friend; she is charismatic in a goofy and genuine way. However, she can also be hot-headed and rash, over-indulgent, and boastful; others might find her coarse in her behavior and choices. Paradoxically, Lee is often too concerned about the opinions of those she admires, and may be stricken by social anxiety at the most inopportune times. While generally accepting of everyone, Lee has no tolerance for bullies and is stubborn in her negative judgments of others. Determined against unrealistic odds, she often bites off more than she can chew fighting against injustices. Her "good versus evil" view of the world leaves little room for nuance. |

Interests
SexualityGalilee is a big ol' lesbian. After shyly pining for pretty (presumably straight) girls in her youth, Lee has since become more straightforward with what she likes, and will take female attentions where she can get it: brief emotional flings, one-night-stands, whatever. That said, while she flirts shamelessly, she rarely makes the first move -- worried, thanks to some previous hurtful experiences, at being perceived and stereotyped as "predatory" in her intentions. Whether a quick dalliance or committed relationship, Lee gives her all to her partners and wants them to be happy; she also tends to be worried about what they think about her. With a tendency to take things at face value, she may miss or simplify her partners' subtle feelings. |
SpiritualityGalilee was raised on Biblical stories and taught ideals such as good and evil, redemption and sin, by her father. She still believes vaguely in the Abrahamic god, but she doesn't put much stock in her dad's Catholic guilt; God should be chill. She has strongly embraced the need to do "good" in the world and help the downtrodden. Vices

Key: Dabbler --> Apprentice --> Journeyman --> Master | |
Main Focus: Brawler
In a serious situation, Galilee is most comfortable fighting in her Lupus or Secui form, thanks to strong instincts and practice from a young age. She is an aggressive fighter, making use of her above-average size to knock down opponents, and her big teeth to deal deadly damage. Her natural endurance helps her outlast most foes until they slip up; she is frequently on the offensive to help wear them down.
Lee loves to brawl! She uses her height and long arms to her advantage, keeping opponents out of her space. While she doesn't know any fancy techniques, she will unashamedly fight dirty, and use punches, grapples, kicks, and regular ol' claws and teeth to win fights. However, she hasn't fought in high-stakes combat in a long time; she would hesitate going for a killing or crippling blow in this form.
Lee was taught the basics of spear-fighting by her father and built on this knowledge by sparring with other skilled combatants. She takes advantage of her already long reach to keep opponents at bay, and utilizes staff-fighting flourishes that Shiloh taught her to keep others on their toes. Unfortunately, lack of continued practice has made her rusty.

Auxiliary Skills and Hobbies
Galilee is a strong swimmer, having grown up on the Shattered Coast. Much of this is due to physical traits, such as her strength, endurance, and lung capacity -- but she also has strong knowledge of tides and dangerous undercurrents. Having a dolphin as a teacher helped.
Lee is an adept hunter of medium-to-large prey, utilizing traditional feral hunting tactics. Her coordination with others in a group hunt is strong, and her high level of endurance allows her to wear down prey. She also frequently fishes: chomping down or grabbing ones that swim past, stabbing them with a spear, or using coordinated efforts to herd them into nets. (Pole fishing is boring.)
Hours spent practicing going eeee-eee-ee with Hurley have granted her rudimentary understanding of this otherwise completely useless language dialect. She understands dolphin calls better than she can replicate them. Maybe that's helpful?
Her father read to her quite a bit when she was little, so she got her hands on storybooks once she could shift. She quickly found that reading wasn't as fun as being read to, but she has retained knowledge and can fumble through most texts. She cannot write, however.

4.2 Residence![]() Galilee lives in and around the Great Village schoolhouse with the rest of The Troupe; they have a communal sleeping room and some places for storage. Lee can just as commonly be found outside on clear nights, sleeping under the stars or keeping an eye out for trouble. |
4.3 TradeGalilee knows nothing about trade or value; she's easily duped, but she's also stubborn about things she wants versus those she doesn't want. With little need for material possessions, she usually trades for consumables or on the behalf of others.
