Wilson is a cat with a storied past.
He was born in London and met Levent Kartal when they were adolescents, a fateful day that led to a long and deep friendship. The pair roamed the world together, from Istanbul to Athens to Cercatori d'Arte in Nova Scotia. The pair were thick as thieves -- and had ambiguously strong feelings for one another. However, Levent's sins eventually caught up to the man. Despite falling out with Levent many times, Wilson remained by his friend's side until the Levent was attacked and kidnapped, the cat left for dead.
Found by Shiloh Dawnbringer and her cat Muddy (who Wilson would eventually have two litters of kittens with, though his feelings toward her are strictly friendly), Wilson was nursed back to health. Though cynical and resistant to companionship at first, Wilson eventually grew very fond of Shiloh and helped raise her children in Vinátta. He was a central part of the woman's family, and when she left for Cour des Miracles some years later, Wilson felt betrayed. He traveled to be with her, making it clear that he considered himself part of her family, her best friend.
The Winter of Tarnished Gold brought around another terrible twist in Wilson's life: Shiloh's death.

|
1. Appearance
1.1 BasicsWilson is a white tomcat, lean and leggy and a little scruffy. His eyes are dark, sandy-yellow. He has some scarring, though most of it is hidden under his fur. He is starting to show some age; his eyes seem a little sunken and dark, and the thin fur around his muzzle seems a little rough. He wears a wooden cat charm on a leather string, which was carved for and belonged to Shiloh Dawnbringer before her death.

2. Personality
Wilson identifies more closely with canines than other cats. He is, in a nutshell, a calm and patient (if cynical) individual who holds very close bonds with those he loves.
He views himself as a perfect equal to Luperci, but he knows (from experience) how most cats are seen in a canine-dominant world. He is wary of strangers and, while fluent in High Speech, literally plays dumb around those he hasn't yet met until he can find out their intentions. Sharply intelligent, he understands concepts and issues that most felines don't.
Though rather pessimistic, Wilson is protective and loving. He has a soft spot for children in particular and "mothers" adults who have issues -- an extension of long years spent babysitting Levent with his various addictions. He has experience as a conscience and can fall back into this no-nonsense role at the drop of a hat.
Despite acting largely as support for his friends, Wilson himself is extremely private and does not deign to speak on his own past or feelings.

Spirituality
- Wilson is atheist.
- He is familiar with Abrahamic religions as well as Norse paganism. He disdains the former, while he accepts the rituals and prayers of the latter. Though he does not personally believe in any gods or spirits, he feels that they're "real enough" for those who practice their religion.

4. History
- Wilson was born in London in a cat colony infamous in the rich districts for their intelligence -- a band of roguish felines who often bartered or made life hell for the local Luperci. He was raised to be streetwise and fluent in High Speech by his dear mother.
- When he was an adolescent, Wilson was cornered by a gang of Luperci and nearly beaten to death for shits and giggles. However, yearling wolf Levent Kartal rescued him -- getting a whopping for his trouble. Both were nursed back to health by Levent's mother, Katherine, and they became fast friends.
- Wilson ran over all of Eurasia with Levent as his friend became a merchant. Their bond was powerful, and they had a ton of adventures.
- Unfortunately, Wilson was almost killed in Algiers. While Levent is in a panic looking for someone to save his friend, he is drugged by a strange Luperci. That same Luperci save's Wilson's life, but the hallucinations and stories of demons and religion change Levent forever.
- Following some drama regarding alcohol and Levent's betrothed in Athens, Wilson and Levent have a falling-out. Levent agrees to give up alcohol, though he gets into more trouble. Soon, it's too much; Wilson insists they start fresh in North America. After crossing the seas and bartering for passage to several ports, the pair arrive in Nova Scotia in March 2012.
- The pair traveled for a while, though some of Levent's past -- including one Amy Sunders -- seemed to follow them regardless. Wilson did his best to act as Levent's conscience, though he failed time and time again. He insists that Levent settles down with a pack to gain some sense of normalcy, and Levent joins Cercatori d'Arte.
- Again, the pair's tumultuous relationship takes a blow when Levent knocks up Hotaru. Wilson avoids Levent, who ignores Wilson in favor of his children (Aiden and Aysun), but Levent is injured when they try to travel to bond. Wilson distantly cares for him while his puppies (Aiden and Aysun) are small. However, the children die, and Levent leaves d'Arte.
- Wilson and Levent struggle to rekindle their relationship. The next weeks are difficult for the both of them, and in November 2012, Levent is kidnapped to pay off a debt. Wilson is nearly killed trying to save him -- but is found by Muddy and Shiloh Dawnbringer.
- With the aid of Muddy, Shiloh, and Saul Stormbringer, Wilson recovers in Vinátta. He is aloof and distracted for weeks but slowly begins to bond with Shiloh. Vinátta is peace and calm after his rocky life, and he falls in love with it.
- Wilson has four kittens by his friend Muddy: Aysun, Aiden, Bygul, and Thofnir. He helps raise them and teaches them High Speech -- though his daughter Aysun is soon discovered to be deaf.
- Wilson quietly supports for Shiloh during her own personal drama involving her lover and family -- from conflict, to doubt, to illness, birth, death. He acts as a babysitter and guide for both her litters, as much a part of Vinátta as any of its members.
- When Shiloh moved to Cour des Miracles to be with Silvano, Wilson felt abandoned and betrayed and followed her. Their relationship hasn't quite recovered yet, but he has taken up his old mantle as her conscience and continues to watch over her family -- including Pascal.
- In April 2016, shortly after the meteor impact, Wilson's second litter of kittens by Muddy were born: Calcifer, Walter, Ladybird, Myra.
