Mistfell Vale was a pack primarily based in the Northern Tides along the southern part of St. John's River. A self-declared open place for all 'types' of canines to call home, the Vale prided itself on its accepting atmosphere, focus on freedom, and its members intense loyalty to one another and the pack.

The pack was originally thought of by Felix Nightlark, who desired a pack reminiscent of his old home, Midnight Shores. Disheartened by the lack of acceptance he felt among the other packs, he struck up a friendship with Calia Larsen, who shared his sentiment. Soon, the pair gathered various loners who had lost their homes or lost their way, and together in the heart of winter, they formed their new home.

Mistfell Vale's ranks were unique among 'Souls packs - upon reaching the 'Proven' tier of ranks, members were sorted into three separate 'houses', each defined by the prominent traits and mentalities held by the members within their ranks. The houses also represented each ideological pillar of Mistfell Vale - Elkenfrey for acceptance, Hawkesond for freedom, and Wolverthorne for loyalty. There was a looser sense of hierarchy in the Vale than in some other packs, and many of its members enjoyed this relaxed atmosphere.

The pack disbanded in June 2020, following the birth of the then leader, Saga D'Angelo's children by the Lord-Regent of New Caledonia, Athras Eryn. Finding herself falling for the charismatic gentleman, Saga made the choice to follow him to New Caledonia and raise her children there.

2.  Territory

2.1  Maps

map 2 by Titmouse

Nestled into the nooks and crannies of the southern half of St. John's River, Mistfell Vale has claimed parts of the lush Fundy National Park as well as the abandoned Camp Gagetown. Its southern half boasts rich evergreen forests, while the centre of the territory shows off green fields and valleys - to the north, a mysterious swampland. Surrounding the territory is the St. John's River, which offers fresh water and life to the members of the Vale.

2.2  Landmarks

Winterwynd

  • Old Brassard Church: An old, proud church made of stone that lies in Winterwynd's north section. It is used as a meeting point, celebration hall and as a pseudo guesthouse for visitors. The rear of the church also boasts a fairly generous storage space.

The North

  • Hee Haw Orchard: Commonly known as simply "the Orchard", it is home to the Vale's stables, fields, corrals and storage. In 2019, a paper mill was constructed there.
  • Tuscany Gardens: An overgrown, yet still intriguing, Italianate garden on the northwestern edge of Winterwynd.
  • The Mire: A dark, thick bog in Camp Gagetown with a heavy atmosphere.
  • Emberfen Lakes: Two lakes that boast scenic coasts and clear water.
  • Foxheel Point: A small peninsula jutting into the river - it contains a few houses and cabins.
  • Drakeside Hollow: A small dip in the northern coast that sports a dragon-like rock formation.

The South

  • Bluegrass: Within Fundy National Park lies what once was a golf course, and who's fertile grass now boasts soft grasses and moss that have a vibrant green and almost blue hue.
  • The Secret Cape: A peninsula to the south, hidden by a copse of trees that belies the depth of the land beyond.
  • The Ruined Vasts: A heavily forested, secluded area to the south that has an old human ruin at its heart. So crumbled are the walls of this old place, and so unusual is its layout, no one quite knows what it once was.
