Marsali Amarok

Marsali is the daughter of Fayne and Altair Amarok, born in 2015 in New Dawn, younger sister of Brinan Amarok. When New Dawn disbanded in 2015, she traveled with her family and joined AniWaya where she was ranked in the skilled tier as a Warrior. Following AniWaya's disbandment in October 2016, she journeyed with Laurentin Aston to found Auclair in Quebec.

After bringing her daughter to 'Souls in 2017, Marsali never made it back to Auclair...

1.  Appearance

Big and bulky in all her forms, Marsali has few touches of femininity. She's endowed with a thick coat which makes her resemble a sandy polar bear, and was a source of some embarrassment as a teenager as it made her look distinctly fluffy.

2.  Personality

2.1  Puppy

Sali (Sa-lee) is only just starting to develop her own sense of self and identity. She has the effect of a quiet storm, not visibly loud and obnoxious or eccentric by nature. Marsali is developing a powerful passiveness that does not always make her submissive, but will aid in her respect later. Her bonds to her pack are only just now starting to take root but already she is becoming more and more loyal to New Dawn. Raised with their beliefs and customs, this baby she wolf will likely be less humanistic and more primitive in her ways.

Marsali enjoys wrestling with her brother and even if he sometimes beats her, she is generally the more dominant pup of the two currently. They get along well at the moment and never really had to fight for room while nursing since it was always just the two of them. She doesn’t like venturing far from him and generally tends to try and drag him along when she gains the courage to go exploring. Sali is intelligent and inquisitive about the world as most pups are. As she gets older and more sense of self identity, she’ll develop a deep sense of self-consciousness from her unfaltering, heavy long fur which appears unattractive to her.

2.2  Adult

It took some time for Marsali to blossom into the warrior she has become. Finding Laurentin Aston alleviated her awkwardness to some extent, but there are still moments where she feels overwhelmed and self-conscious. Though she loves her children she isn't the most maternal (at least publicly) and is, at times, frustrated by their naivety. Marsali can have trouble expressing herself and for this reason she can come across as overly stoic. She's a tough nut to crack but anyone who bothers will be rewarded by glimpsing her true, loyal heart.

Key Relations
Fayne is Marsali's Momma, who she looks up to even though she doesn't always tell her the truth.	Altair Amarok is Marsali's Dad. She thinks the world of him but is sad that they don't get more time together.
Positive Relations
Laurentin Aston Laurentin was the first AniWayan to extend the hand of friendship towards Marsali. She trusts him as a leader and a friend but doesn't quite trust her feelings towards him.	Virue is an Infernian whom Marsali met in a rather pathetic state in the forest. They have since become friends, and Sali seeks to build him up.
Thyri Dawnbringer found Marsali wandering around the former New Dawn territories, and managed to help her find some inner strength. She admires Thyri's spirit and ability to fight.	Atalanta Kartal is a beautiful and slightly enigmatic woman who Marsali initially met as a loner, but whom later joined Casa di Cavalieri. Marsali has odd feelings for her.

4.  Skills and Inventory

4.1  Abilities

Combat Education and Learning: Mostly learned feral combat from Altair but also honed during her years away from 'Souls.
Combat (Feral) (Master): Marsali is most comfortable fighting on four legs. Archery (Journeyman): Still honing this skill to perfection, Marsali is nonetheless comfortable with a bow and arrows.	Fighting with close range weapons isn't Marsali's favourite thing in the world

5.  History

5.1  Puppyhood in New Dawn

Marsali Amarok was born right after her littermate Brinan on January 6, 2015 to Altair and Fayne of New Dawn. Shortly after, the wretched New Dawn sickness, thought to be connected with Orca’s Bane, caused many packmates to fall ill. Altair was needed for protecting in the weak state most of the pack was in, and as healer, Fayne was needed most in tending to the rest of her packmates. As Betas of the pack, her parents had to make the difficult decision to let Lucia take over parenting duties while they battled the illness. Regrettably, the Alpha of the pack, Zalen, succumb to the sickness so Marsali will never know the leader and founder of the pack.

Since it was Lucia there for her and her brother for such a long time, Sali thinks of her aunt as a second mother and really does not distinguish much between the two at the moment. However, since Fayne has returned to her rightful place, her bond has been increasing with her maternal mother. She absolutely loves her father and respects him highly, and will likely become daddy’s little girl if she is not already. At seven weeks old she and her brother were introduced to the pack for the first time and has since been aquatinting herself with more wolves besides the few she has been around so far in her life.

5.2  AniWaya

Following the fall of her birth pack, Marsali moved along with her parents and brother to AniWaya in the South. There she started to blossom into a competent, if awkward, warrior. There she also met Laurentin Aston, who became a friend as well as a leader. Sali admired his rebellious spirit and started to develop feelings for Laurentin but they went unexpressed for some time because, used to loss and discord, they frightened her.

5.3  Auclair

After AniWaya disbanded, Sali and Laurentin decided to found a new pack in Quebec: Auclair. After a false start during which Laurentin was kidnapped, the small group made it to their new home. Marsali continued to hone her skills as a warrior and also gave birth to her first children by Laurentin: Asik and Amoux .

5.4  Back to 'Souls

In 2017, Asik pleaded with her Mother to be shown the lands she had only heard stories of. Reluctantly, Marsali agreed to take her daughter on the trip to her homeland. They ended up exploring for only a few months before turning for home - but Marsali never made it back to Auclair...
