Cody Dallas is the son of Wayne McCoy and Chevelle Dallas, born in the southwestern States and raised a horse wrangler. At a young age he decided to strike out with his siblings, riding toward Nova Scotia where his father had been a warhorse trainer for Casa di Cavalieri. While his siblings became separated, he found the peaceful Tribe and fell into his role as its animal caretaker, training and caring for the pack's horses.

In late autumn of 2015, the confession of his feelings for friend Galilani Adahy went awry. Feeling partially responsible, Cody sought solitude in his work. In April 2016, when a meteor strike caused havoc in eastern Canada, Cody -- caught with his horses near Freetown -- was injured and considered missing by his pack. After a period of recovery, during which he was taken in by a wandering Tribesman, he went to live in The Great Tribe, again taking up his rank of Elan Soquili.

    • Optime Hair: Somewhat messy and thick. Kept short, often swept to the side across forehead.
  • Facial Features: Cody has a squared-off, scowling muzzle like his father. His ears are floppy rather than erect.
  • Build and Size: He could be called "hardy" rather than muscular or burly. Of average height and unspectacular appearance, he is broad and deceptively dense with muscle.

  • General Posture and Body Language: Cody has humanized but introverted posture, often hunched and crossing his arms.

2.  Personality

  • Cody is known for being serious and no-nonsense, almost always seen with a somber frown. He takes things very seriously and tries to be extremely perceptive to make sure nothing gets wrong. He is the voice of reason among the siblings.
  • Not known to waste a word unless it's to criticize someone for being rash, Cody isn't exactly popular at parties. He is keenly aware of what others think of him, and while he tries to look like he doesn't care, he is somewhat hurt by this. He presents himself as severe and grouchy, bordering on mean, as a defense mechanism.
  • One wouldn't know it by looking at him, but he actually has the largest heart out of all his siblings. He is gentle and nurturing when others need it, and his empathy hurts him, sometimes. He's the type of guy to take in injured strays and orphans.

Biases

  • Packs:
    • Casa di Cavalieri was his father's pack. A place with good morals but a warrior focus that alienated his father.
    • Anathema is bad: aggressive, slave-driving, stupid.
    • CdA, CdM, AW are other good packs.
  • Species: Most familiar with dog hybrids. Cody also has a soft spot for and gets along better with horses than other Luperci.

Sexuality

  • ???
  • Likely to be awkward and bottle up his feelings.

Interests

  • Likes: Horses and livestock, open fields, hardworking individuals, leather-working
  • Dislikes: Animal abusers, laziness, parties

Substances

  • ???
  • Exposed to beer and tobacco, may or may not partake

Spirituality

  • ???
  • Father believed weakly in the Abrahamic God as a concept and something to swear to. Mother disdained religion, thinking only the weak needed it to guide morals.

3.  Relationships

3.1  Family: Families

3.2  Relations

Key Relations

  • Wayne McCoy: Cody has taken after his father the most out of all his siblings, though they were actually never that close -- obviously, at least. They spoke rarely but had a simple understanding, often found working on the same project in silence together.
  • Colm Erskine A middle-aged coyote on the run who escorted Cody to eastern Canada. Colm has continued Cody's education, and the two share similar personalities.

Positive Relations

  • Chevelle Dallas: Cody likes his mother but finds her uncommitted, wild lifestyle a little irresponsible.
  • Annie McCoy: His favorite sister. Cody feels a need to look after her as per his father's instructions, and so he worries quietly over her. He acted as her confidant, a quiet support, before she left.
  • Cassidy Dallas: Cody doesn't mind Cassidy when she's helping him work, though he warns her about going off and doing wild and crazy things. He tries to channel her energy into productive projects.

Neutral / Negative

  • John McCoy: Cody butts heads often with his brother, who he sees as wild and irresponsible, too. He's usually the first to tell John that he's acting like an arrogant moron.
  • boop boop

4.  Skills and Inventory

4.1  Abilities

Livestock

  • Education and Learning: Cody was taught a wide range of skills with livestock, especially horses, from both his parents and from Colm -- masters in their own right. He has a powerful fundamental understanding of these skills, though he's still inexperienced due to his young age.
  • Horses (Riding) (Journeyman): Cody is a comfortable and proficient rider thanks to learning to ride as soon as he could shift. He can put an easygoing horse through all its paces and knows the basics of handling a fearful horse, having learned through trial and error with his own timid companion.
  • Horses (Maintenance, Care) (Journeyman): Cody knows the basics of how to care for horses -- feeding, grooming, basic signs of illness, other needs. He was put to work at a very young age helping his parents take care of their herd.
  • Horses (Training) (Apprentice): Cody knows the basics of how to train horses -- mostly captive-born foals. He understands the processes of breaking them to halter and saddle and condition them to not respond to fearful stimuli. He has helped his father once or twice in this, especially the most basic jobs.
  • Wrangling (Dabbler): Cody has witnessed his parents capture and control wild livestock, and helped by keeping watch and holding ropes, but he's never partaken in the act directly.
  • Herding (Dabbler): Cody has witnessed his parents herd cattle and ridden a horse alongside them, though he has never partaken in the act directly.
  • Cody is very young and therefore rather inexperienced. He can ride a horse as well as any kid who's grown up in the saddle, but he doesn't know how to deal with many dangerous situations on horseback. His childhood has given him a strong advantage, and he can eventually grow to master this art, but until he comes across new scenarios and falls on his butt once in a while, he's only as good as his age.
  • While he knows the basics about horse maintenance, he doesn't know what to do in many situations -- e.g., while he might recognize a sick horse, he's in no position to treat one.
  • Most of his knowledge in horse training is just theoretical knowledge. He's never actually trained a horse to respond to rein cues, jump, pull, or do anything fancy. He would likely make a lot of mistakes until he learns through experience.

Miscellaneous

  • Education and Learning: These skills were learned from various teachers, from his parents and uncle to random strangers and acquaintances who came by to help with the herd.
  • Hunting (Apprentice): Cody can track and hunt somewhat well in his Lupus and Secui forms. He works best in a group, though he does like to chase rabbits on his own!
  • Leatherworking (Dabbler): He's picked up an interest in leatherworking and helped fetch supplies for his parents, etc., but does not understand the process very well himself.
  • and over here go some weaknesses~

5.  History

Cody and his siblings were born in the southwestern United States to Chevelle Dallas. The first few months of their life, they knew only their mother and Uncle Dodge and their horses. Both worked hard to keep the children cared for as they traveled, which they did a lot of; the pups quite literally grew up in the saddle.

Their father, Wayne McCoy, joined them (coming from Casa di Cavalieri) when they were not quite shifting age. The small family band joined up with a group of ranchers that Chevelle knew, working to raise horses and cattle. The children learned horsemanship and other skills from both parents, and when they came of age, received steeds of their own.

Cody was about nine months old when his sister Annie decided to travel to eastern Canada, the setting of bedtime stories Wayne raised the pups on -- including the knights of Cavalieri and their allies. Soon, a stranger on the run, Colm Erskine, passed through the area, Wayne told the man about Nova Scotia as a potential haven and place for work -- and the three remaining children announced their intention to go with the man. Wayne sent his children off with stoic advice.

The trio traveled with Colm for two months to reach New Brunswick, learning both from the man and from experience along the way, battling inexperience and exhaustion and the cold winter. They arrived in February and split off to find their father's old pack and look for their sister -- and seek out their own path, in the end.
