Tarastië Fir-Chlis is the son of Battalion and Lossë Fir-Chlis, born in the settlement of The Citadel alongside five siblings.

The six of them grew up in quiet peace and contentment, raised by loving -- if not somewhat overprotective -- parents, surrounded by extended family, and wanting for nothing. In the wake following the collapse of New Caledonia, the cause of their parents' move, the litter was raised with caution towards religious fervor and stories of the friends and family left behind in their former home.
