Sari Belgrave is the youngest daughter of three, born to infamous slave merchant and smuggler Solomon the Salamander.

She was raised by her timid, foreign mother Joy, along with her two sisters June and Anja Belgrave. Though Sari inherited much of her mother's striking New Guinean looks, she was born with the ferocious determination of her sire, albeit with somewhat more mercy in her heart.

Weary of the domestic life, stuck in the family's wealthy residence on Barbados and fulfilling the duties of a respectful seafarer's daughter, Sari made plans to escape. One evening, while her father was still in port, she chopped off all her lovely long hair and disguised herself as a filthy ship's boy. For a few months, Sari worked on her father's vessel "The Salamander", but kept a low profile as to avoid being recognized and sent back home. While on board, she came to be horrified at the nature of her father's trade, and startled by the gritty, cruel nature of the world beyond the silken pillows of her old home.

However, a determined lass by heart, Sari made it into port at Freetown - where she determined that her story would truly begin. She was surprised to discover that one of her sisters, June Belgrave, had discovered her plans and followed her to Freetown, hoping to keep her younger sister safe and persuade her to return home. June, however, was certainly the more nervous and undecided of the two, and Sari quickly talked her into accompanying her on this new journey (with the promise that if they ran into any trouble, they would both return to Barbados). Knowing that their father had trade connections with a pack, Salsola, the young ladies sought out a representative of the Kingdom.

Having managed to talk her way out of numerous risky situations, Sari was quick to jump on the opportunity of meeting Salsola's Lord Commander, Lokr Revlis, on one of his infrequent trips to Freetown. Upon learning the two girls' heritage, Lokr readily agreed to escort them back to Salsola - Where Sari now resides as an Associate.

2.  Personality

Good Is Not Dumb, Plucky Girl, Tomboy with a Girly Streak

3.  Interaction

  • Speech: Well-educated, but somewhat rough around the edges. Sari has no true accent, as she grew up in an ocean port that saw many foreigners passing through. Because of this, she is multi-lingual, and can easily speak French, Spanish, and the Islander Bajan-Creole of Barbados.
  • Scent: Seasalt and pine.

4.  Relationships

4.1  Key Relations

  • Anja Belgrave Anja and Sari never got along very well as sisters. Anja's naturally overbearing and dominant nature often suffocates her younger siblings. Sari also dislikes how much Anja idolizes their father, particularly now that she's more familiar with his trade.
  • June Belgrave Being the more timid sister, June was a closer confidant to young Sari. June taught Sari many things, such as to cook and sew, and often acted almost as a second mother to her. However, Sari was always uncomfortable with how content June remained in their mother's house, and June struggled to understand her sister's boredom and claustrophobia within the confines of their small lives.
