General Physical Appearance |
Atlacoya is the fitting description of a warm-climate coyote: With willowy limbs, and a lithe body, she cuts an athletic figure in all forms, though her coat is somewhat wiry to the touch and relatively short, befitting of her origins. Her fur has a tendency to blow out sleek in summertime months after an ugly interim period of heavy, matt-like shedding. Her pelt is colored like pale sands and gold, with coal and alabaster markings offsetting her otherwise sunny patterning. While any and all indicators of her domestic genes have been seemingly bred out of her, a few indicators yet remain, like black mottling on her tongue, and her otherwise stark, black nails. Coya’s expression is largely impassive, yet not unfriendly. Possessing a somewhat sly air about her, her fiery, almond-shaped eyes almost exacerbate her shrewd and sharp facial features. Her humanization is relatively moderate - though not always what might be perceived as conventional or "modest". Coya regularly shifts between forms to whatever is best fitting for the task at hand, and seemingly has no preference for one over another. She makes use of earthy pigments for primitive body and face paint - most commonly in shades of rich red or black. Much of her accessories consist of large, round wooden beads, turquoise, jade, sea shells, and the discarded feathers of macaws from her birthplace. |

Summary: Proud, insightful, exacting, patient, self-assured |
The product of displacement and a largely nomadic upbringing, Atlacoya has grown within conditions which demanded adaptability and resilience. As such, she holds strong convictions, though she is not so rigid that she proves immobilized when confronted with the unfamiliar. It could be joked that she was born to make friends - or had otherwise picked up the guile of a tactician somewhere along the line; Coya's perceptive nature, innate curiosity, and predominantly charismatic disposition make her an easy conversationalist. While, at times, she can seem unsympathetic towards those she perceives as failing to pursue their full potential, she is not antipathetic to the changes in others and can prove unflappably patient despite the appearances of annoyance. For her, society demands improvement and betterment, yet balance; adopting a holistic approach, Atlacoya readily and quickly entrenches herself with local cultures and their customs, and is more than eager than to share the wealth of knowledge that the slivers of her own peoples had provided to her. Whilst demanding, she is not without her compassion. |
