Gil is a white coydog with blue, almond-shaped eyes. His pelt is unstained (through meticulous grooming) and double-coated, giving him a fluffier appearance during colder seasons. His most notable feature is his piercing gaze with pinpricked pupils.

Taking more after his husky heritage, Gil has a broad muzzle, triangular ears, and round face. He is taller and burlier than the average coyote. He has toned muscles around the chest and shoulder area, possessing a top heavy silhouette and a solid (if pudgy) abdomen in Optime form. It's only during the warmer seasons when he's sporting his shorter summer coat that the finer details of his prevailing coyote blood show through, such as a thin skeletal frame and bristle brush tail.

Hidden underneath his fur, he is scarred on the back of his neck. His paw pads are calloused from labor.

Gil does not have a stylized mane. Feeling comfortable in most temperatures, he typically wears simple pants, a bandana and collar tied around the neck, and an open-buttoned shirt—or no shirt at all, if he isn't compelled by social etiquette. He often wraps his hands and forearms in thin leather strips for protection. When pulling a cart or sled, he wears a fitted leather harness.

Gil predominantly assumes Optime form, but favors Lupus and Secui forms when off-duty.

Carrying himself with a languid confidence that borderlines on arrogance, Gil is a bold personality. His characteristically loud voice draws attention to him if his forwardness doesn't, being the one to start conversations. Outwardly he is jovial and friendly, always equipped with humor. He is outspoken with his thoughts, for better or worse. In an attempt to diffuse possible tension from this, he employs teasing insults in a big brother type of way. But his joking can slip into sharp sarcasm and beratement if he feels slighted or inclined to criticize others. He flips between being casual and confrontational as it suits him, whatever keeps him in a comfortable position, and it can be hard to predict what incites the switch.

Gil is hardworking and focused. He is caring for his friends and neighbors, finding it easiest to show his affection for them through acts of service.
