Blackbourne Conflict

1.  Summary

The Blackbourne Conflict was a revenge and religion-based series of attacks on Vinátta by the family of Floran Blackbourne - his widow, her sister and their three children. Floran Blackbourne took his own life after a tryst with Ascher Stormbringer’s daughter, Bel Tlugv, in 2015.

2.  Backstory

Bel Tlugv was a much loved puppy in Vinátta, but as she grew up she became something of a wild child - wilder than even her family knew…

In the Summer of 2015, in the wilds beyond Souls, Bel enchanted and seduced a man who she knew only as Floran. Unbeknownst to her, Faron had a family - a mate and young children, whom he abandoned for Bel. Young and fickle, Bel abandoned Floran soon after, stating that she was going to return to her family in Vinátta. Heartbroken and ashamed, Floran ended his own life, leaving his family permanently broken.

In late 2015, Bel and her father Ascher Stormbringer were travelling beyond Souls in an effort to find Sequoia Tlugv, Bel’s Mother. They never found her; instead, the pair were attacked by a pair of loners - Floran’s heartbroken mate and her sister, who had learned of his betrayal and the young woman he had left his family for, and who had been slowly gathering information about the pair for weeks. Both father and daughter sustained injuries, but with Ascher lacking supplies and too far from Vinátta to call on them for help, Bel succumbed to sepsis at the end of the year.

Ascher lost his memory for a time, but Floran’s family did not forgive or forget. His children grew up with their Mother telling them stories twisted to paint Vinátta as heathens and adulterers; a hate for the Viking pack was instilled in them, and eventually they set out to exact their revenge on Vinátta…

4.  Timeline

• [M] January 4th, 2017': While on patrol of the borders Ascher Stormbringer is attacked by members of House Blackbourne. Lochlan comes to his rescue.

• January 16th: A group of volunteers scout around the borders and discover the nest, and plans of attack of House Blackbourne.

• [M] January 19': The borders are infiltrated in the dead of night by House Blackbourne, who attack and kill a founding pack member who is later discovered by Izrian Firebringer.

• January 27th: A pack meeting is called to announce the defeat of House Blackbourne, to laud the efforts of the pack and to announce the loss of the founding pack member and the date of the funeral.
