Sid himself was born in Alexandria. Though his mother is from Alexandria, his father is of Nordic origin. His mother, Calanthe, shares the same love of exploration that her son does, the same initiative to find out whatever she can about the world around her, and the creativity skills of an artist and a writer. Sid's father, Ansgar, arrived in Alexandria on a tradeship to study. He was quiet and reserved, Calanthe content and upbeat.

Sid easily learned to read and write, and still enjoys writing in his free time. He grew up rather comfortably, living with a middle class family, his mother an artist and his father a trader. Despite the origin of Ansgar, Sid grew up mostly with Seshat religion, rather than anything more Asatru related.

As he grew, despite enjoying his hometown, his desire to see other countries and cities, to learn about other cultures grew. As his father is a trader, Sid was able to leave Alexandria to see other parts of the world, never permanently staying in one place, free to return to Alexandria if he wished, and free to return to his mother. Because of his frequent traveling, he was able to pick up parts of other languages; the only one other than Arabic he fully learned was English, as many seem to speak at least bits of English along with their native language; it seemed universal.

He and his father arrived at Freetown for trade about two weeks before the trading post was destroyed; their ship was wrecked in the aftermath of the meteor crash, stranding them there and forcing them to move to 'Souls with a lack of supplies. Much of their trinkets from travel and from home were destroyed in the wreck as well.

1.  Appearance

1.1  Basics


  • Species: Hybrid. It is semi-obvious that Sidni is a hybrid- he has more of a wolfish face and tail, but is thin and small(ish) like a jackal.
  • Fur: Thick, sleek fur.
    • Optime Hair: Long and curly, some parts of it are braided, some are loose.
  • Facial Features: A long muzzle with larger eyes.
  • Build and Size: Sidni is relatively average, falling around, at most, 6 feet tall. He is lean and swift, and tends to hunch over a tad, causing him to look smaller than he really is.
    • Lupus: - (All Forms) A thick black coat of fur, usually well taken care of and sleek. Patches of white on his chin and looping to a silver around his cheeks. Black paw pads and claws.

- (All Forms) Bright honey yellow eyes.

- Thin legs that result in him being lanky and tall, but his strength is slightly lower than average.

Height: 2.5 ft

  • Optime: - Keeps dense black fur, and a long curly black mane, pieces of it braided to keep them clean and out of his face(because he doesn't want to brush it properly, or have the time for such things.

- Even in optime form, he is rather on the more feral and animalistic side, being that he places more pressure on the knees and upper legs rather than the balls or heels of the feet. Though he doesn't mean to, because of this he tends to be hunched over at least in the slighter sense, and while his front paws are at his side, his arms still tend to bend at the elbow like he were to reach for something, or grab something. - Sid is still rather lanky, his tail and muzzle thin, along with his legs. Most of his weight and most of his apparent largeness is due to his thick fur coat. Wears a bit of jewelry.

2.  Personality

Sid is rather calm. He is not easily excited, and even when he is, he's not exactly loud like others can be. He's very cautious, and a worrier. Sid also tends to be very indecisive; decision making stresses him out and he seeks help from his peers when it comes down to it, and usually does not ask for help until the last minute. Despite his seemingly cold demeanor, he's very affectionate upon earning his trust. What he prides himself most on is his intelligence and his reliability. He is intellectual and easily constructs possible solutions to problems(depending on the problem, of course).

He is also calculating and can be impulsive. Around strangers, he gets extremely nervous, His trust is difficult to earn and easy to lose. At times, he can be overemotional and is easily angered, contradicting his usual cool and level-headedness. While he doesn't mean to be, he can seem patronizing as he doesn't normally turn down opportunities to demonstrate his intelligence. Though open minded, he can be overcritical, though mostly with himself and not with others. He gets frustrated with himself easily, and continues trying to work rather than taking a break for a moment and relaxing. While his views can seem pessimistic, Sid is ultimately a realist and lives in the now, rather than in the bad side of things.
