Lavrentiy Sarigul, otherwise known as Lavren, is the daughter of Kamer Sarigul and Asya Khan, formerly adopted by Rauf Ozman, and the Ozman Syndicate. She'd been born to a one-night stand between a broken man and a brothel woman, left in the streets of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan? to rot away. Rauf Ozman, Head of the Ozman Syndicate, found her and whisked her away to the city of Baku, Azerbaijan? to be his indentured slave and 'daughter'. Her childhood and adolescence is much of what one would assume; paved in shame and humiliation - Lavrentiy had become the 'Ozman Lapdog', as Rauf coined. She was formally married off as a young adult to the wiry yet softhearted, Arin Orujov, but fell in love with his sister, Adriana Orujova.

After the mysterious murder of her wife, Lavrentiy held her father responsible and killed him in a blind rage, initiating a massive riot against the Ozman's. However, it was later discovered that he was not the offender, and Adriana's killer was still at large. As punishment for her crimes, Lavrentiy was found guilty of disturbing the peace, manslaughter and first-degree murder, issued for jailtime. She spent 8 years behind bars before making a prison break, thanks to the assistance of her brothers, Uzur and Uruk. Lavrentiy made the aimless journey outside of Azerbaijan, toward Nova Scotia.

Basics

The Sarigul lineage is known for it's strong wolf heritage, and despite her dog blood, the same stands for Lavrentiy.

  • Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: Paces when deep in thought. She has a habit of crossing her arms, and eating quickly (a learned habit from being in jail). Taught to keep eye contact when speaking to someone.
  • Posture and Body Language: Phlegmatic and assertive, often looks down on others (literally, actually). Appears bored more often than not, but
  • Dialects: Fluent in Farsi, Arabic, Russian, and Turkish
  • Scent: Amber, Smoked Sandalwood, Jasmine, and Cinnamon.
  • Scars: "4102" branded onto the outer left shoulder from her felon era, a thin slice stretching from nose to the right cheek with two "fangs" from Bayek's whip, and teeth marks on upper right forearm, in the process of murdering Rauf Ozman.

2.  Personality

Basics

Summarized: gruff • laconic • self-sufficient • confrontational

As one would expect, a life of servitude and rebellion is unlikely to shelter the personality of a goodhearted person. Raised by conmen, Lavrentiy has a confidence within herself that's often silent and miniscule. The streets of Baku had taught the wolfdog a lot more street smarts rather than book smarts, leaving her to be perceived as a loud meathead. However, for those who know her personally, this couldn't be farther from the truth. Lavrentiy carries with her an air of independence that some may call selfish; she's the type to sit with a cold beer and watch the world burn outside her porch. She's self sufficient, but that often leads her to take care of matters on her own and leaving those who care for her feeling inadequate, in a way.

The rebellion has left a chip on Lavrentiy's shoulder since the dust settled, and it's apparent in her curt speech and combative nature. She believes in the destruction of law and order, as werewolves will do what they please despite flimsy rules. As a firm believer in taking matters into her own hands, the wolfdog is quick to do things that others would find uncivilized - it's the only way to live, she would argue.

  • Speech: Low, and generally soft. He thinks before he speaks, sometimes at the risk of seeming over-calculating. He stumbles over his words when flustered.
