There are still many tasks to accomplish in Anathema now that the pack has returned to the old territories. Months of neglect and harsh weather have left many buildings in need of repair. Members are encouraged to take part and lead projects to help improve Anathema's current state! Participating in these projects is a great way to interact with other members and have fun! These projects can also help with Specialization and Rank threads!

Members interested in running a pack project should consider a few things first, such as:

  • who will be the leader of the project?
  • how many volunteers will it need?
  • how long with the project last?
  • how much future planning does it require? (planning, supplies, IC-tasks, etc.)

If your pack project tips more toward larger scale, please make sure you discuss your ideas directly with Leadership first! Please continue reading to learn about the benefits, rules, potential projects needing leaders, and how to go about being approved to lead one. If you'd like to know more about one of the pack projects listed below, please contact either the project leader or Leadership!

1.  Rewards

  • By participating in any project thread, your character will earn ten (10) points (per thread) for Anathema's game for IC participation
  • Applicable project threads may be used for Specialization or Rank threads, so you get to kill two birds with one stone
  • A chance to show off you and your character's leadership skills by running a successful project

2.  Getting Your Project Approved

Members looking to get their project approved (or be approved to run a project below) should either post to the Maintenance Thread or PM Leadership with some information:

  • Project Name & Lead Character
  • Project Description (should include a general timeline, a list of potential materials and skills needed to finish the job, and a thread outline for relevant threads)

3.  Current Projects

3.1  The Stables

  • Project Lead -- ???
  • Project Topic -- Thread?

Since coming to Blackmoor Castle and finding the current stables in a manic disarray, there hasn't been a sheltered, secured place for the horses and livestock! The stables were once able to hold up to forty animals at a time, but have collapsed with age and weather. A good portion of the stables has crumbled with the stone wall behind it, while what's left of it looks as though it won't hold for another winter. In order to rebuild the stables, it will take many hands on deck and the wall behind it will need to be somehow stabilized or built anew with the remaining pieces.

Supplies will have to be gathered from many places beforehand, such as wood, stone, maybe even a stone mason, builders, volunteers, information, etc.

Ideas

  • Gather some wood for this project. Remember: Anathema has a horse cart to make this easier!
  • Seek a stone mason builder from somewhere outside of Anathema to help or trade with
  • Gather as many stone bricks as possible (either collected from the leftovers from the wall, crumbling cities, The Outpost, or created somehow)

3.2  The Amphitheater

  • Project Lead -- ???
  • Project Topic -- Thread?

Leaving the old mill training court back in their old territory, Anathema desperately needs a new replacement to train and strive here as they once did! Because Blackmoor Castle already has an amphitheater, it can be used as a base and much can be added to it! Project leaders may decide to place a weapons storage rack (or trunk) and add carved wooden dummies for members to attack. Upon building a training area here, participants are expected to check the ground for cave-ins and hazardous safety issues by going underground to the dungeons. It's up to you how difficult the amphitheater will be to build up!

Supplies will have to be gathered from many places beforehand, such as wood, stone, weapons (can't have enough of those!!), a trunk (if you decide to go that route) or a built weapons rack.

Ideas

  • Gather some wood for this project
  • Scout the surrounding area of the amphitheater for unstable patches; you can even go underground and check for cave-ins and rotting foundation!
  • Carve dummies (a torso and a head) out of solid hunks of wood, stick them on a stake and prepare them for the training area

4.  Potential Areas

These areas are available for improvement or possible expansion, should a member be inspired to contribute their time to these places!

  • Off-coast Island
  • Fishing/Boating Dock
  • Garden
  • Place of Arms (stop the leak or fix the roof!)
  • Third floor of Blackmoor Castle
