Wiress (NPC of [[Characters/Kennedy Fisher]])

Wiress is a young, nervous raven, a former partner and caretaker of Mags, now under the companionship of Kennedy. She has a penchant of repeating odd phrases while twiddling a ribbon and enjoys the company of others, especially Snow and Kennedy.

1.  Appearance

• Size: ~39 in wingspan, small
• Features: Feathers are always ruffled, giving her a wild look.
• Coloration: Black, iridescent feathers that is common in ravens. Black, beady eyes.
• Other: Always seen with a red ribbon.

2.  Personality

Wiress is a friendly raven—she loves to talk to others who are willing to listen to her, and sometimes is unable to notice when she is annoying or bothering someone. She is very nonsensical, though she is unaware of this. She cheerily talks about things that will make little sense to many with confidence. Despite her ditsy nature, she is quite clever, and all it takes is for someone to decode what she is trying to say.

However, she is very nervous and prone to be shy of strangers and other ravens. Being seen as a weakling, she is easy pickings for the meaner ravens in Ravenwrest and she is often bullied by them. She is terrified at the prospect of violence and will try to run away when things go south. The only thing what will make her stay and fight is her need to protect Mags, but relies on others to protect her, such as Snow.

The only time she will fight herself is if her red ribbon is threatened. She is borderline obsessed with the ribbon and will not allow anyone aside from Mags to touch it. A closer inspection shows that the ribbon is nearly intact because of Wiress's vigilance over it. The object seems to be the only tether Wiress has to sanity, and she is often twiddling it between her talons.

Her broken speech is stylized—she rarely uses pronouns (i.e. he, she, it, etc.) and always speaks in the present-tense. She speaks in short, choppy sentences and repeats herself for emphasis. She extremely lacks a refined vocabulary and relies on mix-matching words she knows to express herself; this often results in very confusing words for simple things. Wiress has a habit of repeating things she hears.

2.1  Skills & Abilities Because of her small size, Wiress is a fast flier. She has a sharp eye for when animals are sick, and can pinpoint prey that is weakened or canines that are ill. Wiress is very good at protecting her ribbon!

3.  History

• Wiress was the last one to hatch in her parents' clutch. Her small size was a subject of ridicule from her siblings.
• Their bullying went to far one day, and Wiress was pushed out of the nest and was never recovered by her family.
• She was discovered and rescued by Mags, who nursed the raven back to health. The two have not been apart since.
• Wiress returned to her nest once she regained her health, but the hollow was empty. She took a keepsake from the nest in the form of a red ribbon.
• In the fall of 2015, with Mags on the brink of starvation, the pair were informed about a clan of coyotes by one of its ravens. After Wiress saved Mags from being killed by one of its members, they were accepted into the clan by Kennedy Fisher.
