Scuttle

Scuttle is the youngest daughter of Stryx and Wyatt, born in a small, rural dog-heavy community near the Great Lakes. She was unplanned, and her mother's older age made it a hard pregnancy. Scuttle was the only puppy to survive in her litter, and would be the last that the elderly couple had together. She grew up being mostly alone save for her aged parents, her older siblings being much older and much too invested in their own lives and families to pay much attention to Scuttle. When her parents decided to make a trip northeast, Scuttle went along, having never quite fit in at home. They visited many areas in their sightseeing, and eventually made their way into the Frost Reaches of Nova Scotia in the summer of 2017. Scuttle had gone out to do some exploring in the surrounding areas while her parents had set up a temporary camp. When she had returned, she found that the campsite had been raided, and that her elderly parents had been murdered.

During a failed hunting attempt, she was found by Shikoba Whiplash a month later. Skinny, starving, and wary of strangers, it took some convincing from his fox, Kore, for Scuttle to eventually trust him. Shikoba took her under his wing, and the two developed a close, sibling-like bond that Scuttle had never had before. He looked out for her, provided food for her, and taught her survival skills, and in short manner of time, Scuttle found herself trusting the older coymutt completely. They moved about the land with no clear heading, like Shikoba wanted to leave Nova Scotia, but lost his nerve right when they'd moved too far.

When Shikoba was out hunting for them one late-summer afternoon, a stranger found their campsite and took an unhealthy interest in Scuttle. Young and naive, she didn't--and wouldn't--realize the danger she'd been in until later on. Thankfully, Kore was nearby and was able to postpone the situation from escalating, and, as the situation took a turn towards a more violent and physical end, Shikoba returned and sent the lone wolf on his way after a brief scuffle. The situation scared Scuttle, if only because of the group's reaction to it, and, by evening that same day, Shikoba made the hasty decision to take Scuttle to Inferni, of which, he had once been a member of and where he knew she'd be safer than out as a loner with him.

She was a member of Inferni, where she was ranked as a Quintus. Joined Inferni during time of war with Salsola (Inferni-Salsola War). Helped with the move to the Eastern Realms. Tried to make a living out there. When the Clan was disbanded, she stayed with Shikoba.

Scuttle is currently off being a forgotten NPC in Inactive land.

Dislikes male wolves, dishonesty, injustice, Salsola. Appearance Species: Very obviously dog, and very little that hints to her coyote ancestry. Her nose blaze, dark fade, and golden eyes are some of the few signs that she's not a pure dog. Fur: Soft, smooth, and relatively short; double-coated and longer around her chest and along her tail. Facial Features: Slim and narrow head, longer muzzle, and tall, folded ears due to her collie ancestry. Build and Size: Slender and lithe, built for endurance and running. Lupus: Long-legged with dainty paws, deep-chested and obvious tapering near her hips. Smells like Shikoba, horses/livestock, dirt, sage, and lavender.
