Salvador Salcedo is a well-liked and widely recognized member of Onuban society. He is the son of Eliseo Salcedo and Leta Acosta, and brother to Rafael Salcedo and the late Lilia Salcedo. He is married to Emiliana Olmos and has four children with her: Mateo, Lilia, Maribel and Rita.

In early Autumn of 2017, Salvador was elected to be the Mayordomía of Onuba following the resignation of his uncle, Sol Salcedo. He was formerly the heir of the Salcedo family, and would have inherited the title of Rey after his other uncle, Ander Salcedo, was no longer fit to preside over family affairs. Thus his son Mateo was thrust into the role of heir and would have shouldered these responsibilities, that is, until the boy up and disappeared.

Salvador is an accomplished diplomat with a number of satisfactorily settled disputes between the Inner Court families under his belt. He is best known for organizing a summit for the heads of the families, and creating a seasonal trade show that would illuminate the material specialties of each household. This trade show is very popular in Onuba at present.

  • Name Meaning:
    • First Name: Savior (Latin)
    • Last Name: Willow Tree (Latin)

Emiliana Olmos

  • Emiliana was arranged to be married to Salvador's brother, Rafael, but after Rafael's disastrous exile, it was left to Salvador to soothe tensions between families. Practical, purposeful, and dutiful, Emiliana behaves with a quiet dignity and is indisputably the master of her home. She loves her role as wife and mother, having never desired more than this, and hopes to continue to bring respect and power to the Olmos and Salcedo families. She is often a foil to her husband's excitable antics with her stoic, nearly humorless demeanor.

Guerra

  • Guerra is a beautiful, humongous black Andalusian mare. She looks intimidating but is the sweetest sweetheart to have ever sweeted. She is an excellent horse for training new riders, and Salvador has never been more excited in his life to teach his children to ride on Guerra.

1.  Personality

1.1  Summary

Affable, gregarious, charismatic - Salvador is every inch an optimistic extrovert. He is essentially the golden retriever to the dog park of Onuba. He will come say hello to every butt, will play with any dog, and in tense situations he will bumble himself in-between the aggressive parties and make friends of them both. Although he can at times be shallow or superficial, Salvador does have a keen emotional intelligence and uses this to help mediate conflicts.

To those who know Salvador well, they find an extremely loyal companion. His commitment to duty and truth can sometimes lead him to be self-sacrificing in order to maintain bonds with others. Salvador has never broken an oath, and he tries to always speak honestly.

He adores his family to the point that they are weary of him, and encourages everyone to be their best self!

1.2  Traits

  • Demeanor: Outgoing, Humorous, Polite, Charming
  • Outlook: Positive, Optimistic
  • Sociability: Extrovert
  • Sexuality: Salvador is homosexual, but because this is both frowned upon in Onuban society and Salvador is a very dutiful person, he did not pursue the love of his life. He does not regret it, because he also dearly loves his children and is grateful for their existence.
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
Believes that there must be some regulation in combination with freedoms
Values both personal freedom and adherence to laws
May find themselves forced to work beyond the law, yet for the law

2.  Appearance

2.1  Basics

Essentials

  • Fur: Typical of a Salcedo male, Salvador has a very short coat that is a blend of light browns, greys, and white. Because his fur requires so little attention other than a good wash every now and then, Salvador usually redirects his energies to his hair and clothes.
  • Optime Hair: Short and slightly wavy, Salvador sports a very comely coiffure and likes to style it with waxes and a little perfume. He certainly appears to be a man that takes care of himself.
  • Facial Features: Salvador is thicker muzzled than his slender brother, and has very doggish features, especially his big cute eyes. They are a bright violet and are said to be his best feature.
  • Build and Size: In his youth, Salvador was every inch an Onuban dream - tall, thickly muscled (but not overly so), and well groomed. Though he's certainly eaten a bit since then, the extra weight has made him appear softer and more congenial, and much more likable to the common folk of Onuba.
  • Humanization: Like most Onubans, Salvador dresses himself in fine clothes, desires goods, lives in a house, and frequently uses tools.

3.  Relationships

3.1  Family Relations

  • Emiliana Olmos: Salvador behaves as the conventional husband should behave, and dotes on his wife to the appropriate extent to keep others satisfied. His wife is aware of Salvador's sexuality, and though it is not ideal for her, she accepts it because he has committed himself to their family and their prosperity. Behind closed doors, they function more like coworkers than lovers, and this passionless relationship tends to suit both of them just fine. He does respect Emiliana immensely, and cherishes her as a friend.
  • Lilia: Lilia is Salvador's darling, the apple of his eye. They get along extremely well, bouncing off each other's gags and embellishing each other's stories, and when they are together, they greatly annoy the rest of the family with their antics. Salvador believes that Lilia is his sister's reincarnated soul, which unbeknownst to him, is a very burdensome thought to his beloved daughter.
  • Maribel: Maribel's dour nature does nothing to deter Salvador's outpouring of love and adoration. In fact, it has the opposite effect. Salvador spoils her rotten, getting her anything she wants, and in return she will occasionally tolerate him.
  • Rita: Salvador knows his youngest child is too clever for her own good, and may even be at times afraid of her incredible mental acuity, but nonetheless supports and encourages her with the same enthusiasm he has for his other children. Rita frequently accompanies Salvador on his diplomatic missions, which brings him unending joy. They both share a love of strange aquatic delicacies, and eat a TON of it.
  • Mateo: Mateo is Salvador's only son, which makes him very precious. He has a more serious relationship with his son in the sense that he spends more time trying to converse with Mateo rather than joke around. Salvador frequently is torn between wanting to impress on Mateo the values of duty and honor, and wanting to give Mateo the chance to live his live unburdened by the expectations and responsibilities that he took on himself.
