Elva Blackfoot

Elva Blackfoot (El-Vah Blak-fut) is the daughter of Thrace Hushabye and Convergence Siren, born 24 February 2013 in the Spanish-speaking sub-territories of what used to be the Lower United States and Texas along with two unnamed siblings of similar stature who did not live to see passed their first few minutes.

Due to a sickness that ran through her small, but fruitful band of anti-socialized canine gypsies, she was born as a runt in the first place and not expected to survive very long since they moved very often. She managed, somehow, to get through it with constant nourishment and protection from her mother. Unfortunately, the result of the illness made her fur thinner than it would have been normally otherwise, also giving her very sensitive back paws.

Her mother, a rather talented seamstress, knit together a pair of black socks that inevitably led to Elva's nickname of Blackfoot which stuck with her for most of her life shortly thereafter. After her sickness, she grew stronger and her fur righted itself, though, unfortunately, her back paws did not. They hurt under the sunlight and were freezing cold at night. It only made things worse when Elva picked up the bad habit of starting fires. Quick, and quiet on her feet due to the muffled sound of clothed feet, she quickly and quietly learned the art of being a pickpocket, stealing from strangers that her family came across. This habit only grew till she had a hoard of items that she inevitably lost when her family left her in the bay of some port closer to the borders of Canada in 2015.

Lost, and intrigued, by the nature of being on her own for once, she made it a gesture to move forward despite the lack of companionship aside from that of a raven that had an almost equally as bad habit of circling above her head. The raven was saved only a few weeks before when, injured, it flew into the horse drawn cart of her family. Nursing it back to health was easy but it came to depend on the food her family provided and, as a side effect, started following her.

She spent a year traveling on the border-side, closest to the ocean where her journeys took her to Free Town and eventually, due to unforeseen difficulties with a meteorological event, to Halifax where she lasted by pickpocket-ting those who pushed passed her on the way to trade and, later on trading her spoils for both food and resources needed to survive.

Since Elva was of such high coyote percentage, it didn't take long for her to cross paths with someone, a wolf despite protests, by the name of León Austral who knew about Inferni in mid-to-late 2016. Finding her way to the borders, she met up with Fang Espinoza who was arguably the coolest thing Elva had seen since she'd come to the territory. While rather annoying to the similarly aged woman, invading her personal territory, Elva sought membership and a member of the Triumvirate, Basilio Lykoi was brought in to finally accept her where he volunteered Fang to give Elva a tour of Inferni and to show her to the caves where she showed interest in living. She chose the one right next to Fang.

1.  Appearance

1.1  Basics

Essentials General Elva is small in stature and in nature. Think pixy and you'd probably have an image down of her to a t. Born into what is considered, mostly, a pariah wing of her gypsy family, Elva's bloodline is considerably more coyote than jackal in a mostly doggish pack. She has the radar ears and coat of a coyote, though her stature and gait is more familiar to the jackal in her than anything else. She is lean, somewhat small. Has a short, angular snout. Her fur is borderline fine. Both species are built to survive in the frigid temperatures of the desert at night where it can get cold. However, she was born with a condition that has left her with overly sensitive paws. Always wears socks on her bottom paws in all forms. Her coloration has a distinctive pattern to it. Most of her body is primarily covered in earthy tones. Some oranges and reds excluded. She has a white tipped tail that she sometimes chases. Her eyes are rather blue, sometimes almost sea-like in the way they drift through the room. She holds something of a keen eye, always observing.

14 lbs (?? kg) 24 in (?? cm) Lupus This is Elva's least favorite form to use since she naturally hates being on her paws in the first place in cold weather (that includes when it's rainy). She is very tiny on average and can pretty much be deigned a pygmy though is on the larger scale of pygmyism so is most often categorized as normal. Just small.

Black Sheep, Sibling Rivalry, Cunning like a Fox

Elva doesn't cater to the social norms of any particular pack that she might be in. Known as a wild card and a fire bug, she can be rather harmful when left to her own vices but keeps relatively peaceful as long as she has someone to lock her attention on. She can be overbearing, particularly in the presence of someone she likes or someone she thinks she owes something to. Anything shiny catches her eye and she's there, though she's not really the type to let shiny items go to waste. She often uses the shiny things she steals in making something new, though most of her trinkets are ugly and dreadful in appearance. Odd, even in appearance wise, she keeps a relatively regal, aristocratic air to her and can sometimes come off as if she's pampered and spoiled until something happens.

She is somewhat afraid of the male influence and probably would not get on well in a pack that is led by a male character. It has to do with her being attacked by Caspian Champagne during the second Boreas war when she was saved by Fang Espinoza. She often gets into arguments with Fang and can't take being yelled at so sort of shrivels into herself and becomes a shell. She's like this with any confrontation, though will ultimately shrug most things off as long as others are willing to go on with their lives instead of dwelling on the past. She is cunning, a lot more so than it seems.

One thing to remember is that the girl lost her family at a younger age and seemingly forgot about them. So there is a possible underlying memory problem, or at least an attention problem or deficit that is at play in her head.

3.  Interaction

• Speech: Elva is fluent in French, Hungarian and in Spanish and common tongue. Common tongue is what she naturally uses though Spanish is her secondary language. The others aren't used all that much. She does have a slight accent, though it's easy to pick through and understand. She has something of a high pitched voice that is distinctly feminine.
• Scent: Often disguised outside of Inferni unless she is with Fang. She likes rubbing herself in sunflower oils.

4.  Relationships

4.1  Key Relations Fang: is her best friend and love interest, even though Fang doesn't know that. Elva has a particularly strong love connection to Fang that Elva is very eager to explore though Fang doesn't return her love and it is very one sided. Fang saved Elva from a dangerous guy when Elva all but gave up and was gonna let the bad stuff happen to her and now she thinks she owes Fang her life. That's why she follows Fang around when she can and when she can't, she reorganizes Fang's cave and all of Fang's belongings. She can't take Fang being angry with her.

Familial Relations Digs: is her brother and she doesn't know that he is missing like her. He likes to dig holes. He even liked them before she left but she was very uneasy with him because he was able to use his paws and was always trying to steal her shiny stuff to bury. He is the reason she got lost but she doesn't let that get in the way of her love for him. Though, she doesn't remember him unless he's right in front of her. Same with pretty much everyone else in her life.
