Eira (NPC of [[Characters/Myrika Tears]])

Size: 15.5 hands ( 5.16 ft / 62 inches / 157 cm)
Build: She is a stocky and medium-large sized horse. She is well-muscled and strong, though her small size disguises her strength.
Features: She has a small head, slightly convex of profile and strongly featured. Her mane and tail are always thoroughly brushed and sleek -- tangles are something Eira is never seen with.
Coloration:
- Her coat is a mottled mix of colors -- at its lightest point, Silver Chalice (#ACACAC). At its darkest, Eira's color is Woodsmoke (#17171B). All four legs and her nose are dark; both mane and tail are also of the darkest color. Most of her fur is shaded somewhere between the two extremes, though -- she is mottled and patchy even for a blue roan.
- Her eyes are an unremarkable dark Eternity (#1D120C).

Even-tempered, calm, docile -- Eira is devoted to Myrika; the pair have been together for a long time. Eira understands most of Myrika's commands to the point that they are not apparent to an observer; Myrika's body language on Eira's back is usually sufficient.
The most apparent thing about her is pride -- Eira carries a rider well and seems to know it. This pride keeps her on her best behavior -- around Myrika, anyway. Strange canines do not intimidate or frighten her, but if her boundaries are crossed, she becomes defensive as any other creature.
She used to be more obstinate and stubborn, but this has not occurred since Eira was settled into the Great Village. Motherhood, too, caused her maturation.

Eira makes an excellent riding horse, as her gait is ambling -- an intermediate gait ideal for long periods of riding. She is not extremely fast even at a gallop, but her gait is very sure-footed and very comfortable for the rider. Eira can sustain her ambling gait for a long period of time, making her an ideal distance traveling horse.
Myrika has trained her to answer to a particular tone of howl -- Eira will generally respond if in earshot.

Absolutely adores the taste of mint.
Likes Farai the donkey; spent a lot of time with him.
Likes the Inferni sheep, and will readily tolerate them in her corral. Is equally liked, at least by familiar ewes.

Eira was obtained in Thornloe by Myrika's father Kharma Asylum.
Myrika rode Eira east to 'Souls with her family; however, she was separated in a storm. Eira was thereafter recovered on a farm.
In July 2012, Eira bore a colt named Militades.
