Bernard Foss was a member of The Five, a group who harassed Salsola during the "New Year, Old Troubles" pack plot in early 2016.
He was killed by Basilaris Eternity during the attack on their camp when a raiding party was sent to capture Hans Voclain.

- Scent: Forest, grass, musk, his companions
- Speech: Bernard has a slight accent, and often curses in French. He does not frequently use this language otherwise.
- Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: With a habit for "spreading" when he sits, Bernard often seems unaware of his long limbs and big body -- he is rather clumsy because of this, and tends to knock things over and bump into objects.
- General Posture and Body Language: Though relatively content with following others, Bernard is loud and brash. He uses his physical size to get his point across more often than not, and tends to posture to make himself seem bigger.

Without a doubt, Bernard was born to fight. He's strong and physically fit, and exceptionally skilled in four-legged combat, often employing his Secui form.
Beyond this, tracking is Bernard's special talent -- when set on a trail, he is almost always able to follow it to the end.
3. History
Bernard was born in Toronto alongside his brother, Rudolf Foss. Their mother died when they were both very young, and the boys were primarily raised by their elder half-sister, Haidee Foss, as their father was often involved with his work for the gang which ruled their home territory. Impressed by the tooth-and-claw attitude of some of the more wild gang members, Bernard was quick to get into scraps as a puppy. These turned more serious as he aged, especially as his brother began attracting attention from the "wrong crowd". After an accident during a snowstorm, Rudolf's health took a turn for the worse, and Bernard found himself having to play body-guard for them both.
Luckily, not everyone was out to get them. Hans Voclain was quick to defend the brothers in public, earning Bernard's respect quickly. Enthralled by the dreams of prosperity and peace that Hans promised, it seemed only natural for Bernard to join him. To no one's surprise, Bernard's role became that of muscle -- which is fine by him. It's easier not to worry about things like right and wrong when he's busy worrying about his brother and friends.
