Lyris' NPCs

Kenyon

Kenyon

Species Gypsy Vanner Horse
Date of Birth ~ August 2010
Gender Male (Stallion)

Name

Pronunciation

ken-yun

Meaning

White-haired or blonde

Origin

English

Origin

Kenyon was originally a nameless communal horse in the stables of Sangi'lak. Lyris, having developed an interest in horses as a whole, made semi-regular trips to the stables, and upon one occasion, forged a bond with Kenyon and named him in secret. Since the encounter, Lyris and Kenyon grew close, up until Sangi'lak disbanded later in the year. Upon her departure, Lyris claimed Kenyon as her own, and their companionship has grown tenfold since.

Description

True to his breed, Kenyon is tall, well-muscled, and powerful. Kenyon is trained in endurance and agility, and few can match him in nimbleness or long-running. His legs are feathered and mane and tail long, causing for constant maintenance on Lyris's part, and his fur is thick, making him ideal for the cold. His coat is essentially black with painted white patches, inconsistently covering his legs and most of his girth, with spotting on his neck and face.

About

Kenyon is a young, confident stallion. He is not one quick to trust others, and upon a first encounter he may avoid touch or snap at prying fingers. If one he is not familiar with attempts to ride on his back, he will become very difficult and enjoys veering off the chosen path to search for food or objects to sate his boredom. It is safe to say Lyris is perhaps the only one he is comfortable with, though certainly he could begin to trust others if they were determined to befriend him. Kenyon is quick to excite and can be naïve at times, appearing childish and inexperienced to senior horses within a herd. Yet as he is most commonly found bursting with energy, he is the perfect horse to choose for a run if one wants to travel for an extended period of time. With proper training, he would prove to be a bold, strong war horse.

Residence

When bad weather forces it, Kenyon will be in Casa di Cavalieri's stalls. But whenever he can, he much prefers the open Fort instead.

Ocèane's NPCs

Aedus

Aedus

Species King Cobra
Date of Birth Unknown
Gender Male

Name

Pronunciation

a-dee-us

Meaning

Fire

Origin

Irish

Origin

On one of her many adventures, Ocèane found herself trapped in an old human hunter's trap, with no one to help her for miles around. She certainly would have starved had Aedus not shown up and helped her out of that predicament, hence the obtainment of her spirit guide.

Description

Aedus, being a spirit, can choose whatever form he would like to appear in. Though for some reason known only to him, he chose the guise of a cobra snake, and an albino one at that. He's long, scaled, and stark white, while his dark, intelligent eyes have a tint of pink, true to his albino appearance. His form resembles smoke rising from a fire. He speaks with an English accent, for reasons unknown to Ocèane, and his voice is not particularly loud.

About

His demeanor is very grounded and he is knowledgeable, almost scholarly in his mannerisms. He is pretty much the opposite of Ocèane's wanderlust and will not hesitate to complain if the journey is taking longer than expected. He seems to enjoy disappearing and reappearing in the form of smoke and can often be seen accompanying Ocèane during her various fire-tending duties. He does not mind being seen by others and can be quite sociable when he wants to. Despite his relatively calm disposition, he can be threatening if the need arises, fanning out his neck in the characteristic pattern of the cobra and baring needle-like fangs at whatever he finds so detestable.

Residence

A lot of the time, he is simply vanished into thin air, gone doing who-knows-what. But when he appears in a solid form, he can often be found curled around Ocèane's throat, like some odd necklace accessory.

Evadne

Evadne

Species
Date of Birth Unknown, ~2006
Gender Mare

Name

Pronunciation

ee-vad-nee

Meaning

good, well

Origin

Greek

Origin

Evadne is a feral mare Ocèane discovered amid an orchid field one afternoon in a rural valley located very South of 'Souls. Ocèane first assumed Evadne was her Spirit Guide, for the mare surprisingly approached Ocèane at a comfortable trot than a feral horse normally would be comfortable with, but discovered Evadne couldn't appear or reappear as an apparition like a Guide would, and most importantly couldn't communicate any speech whether telepathically or directly. Océane more or less 'captured' her, and they have grown to become loyal companions ever since.

Description

Due to her breed, Evadne is stocky and slightly smaller than the average horse, though can still carry Ocèane's weight with ease. She is sure-footed and can easily move over sand or uneven ground, and while speed may not be her strong point, she can walk or trot steadily for a long period of time. Her coat consists of a solid cream-white, her mane and tail a vibrant blonde.

About

With lots of practice and work, Evadne is now comfortable enough to have Ocèane on her back. Though she will wear a saddle and other horse tack and can be ridden, she is still considered feral, and can still have certain feral tendencies- such as fussing or being skittish around strangers. Evadne is comfortable with few other luperci besides Oce, and while befriending her can be a long process, it is not impossible. She loves to graze and eat her favorite vegetables, and has a fairly even temperament.

Residence

Evadne wanders with Océane, and can always be found nearby her companion.

Cillian's NPCs

Rian

Rian

Species Alpine Goat
Date of Birth ~ September 2012
Gender Male

Name

Pronunciation

RYE-un

Meaning

kingly

Origin

Irish

Origin

Rian originates from one of the Nemian Tribe goat herds. After Cillian's horrific wounds healed, he took to caring and herding for the animals, and harbored a certain fondness for the buck and his lively, arrogant energy. When Cillian chose to leave his home in pursuit of his sisters, he had the unrealistic idea that he could not bear to be alone and away from home for so long, and so took part of home with him- which happened to be that very confident young billy. Naming him Rian, or 'kingly' as a tribute to his duty left behind, Cillian brought the goat with him to Nova Scotia.

Description

Rian is a bit small for his breed and gender, making him easier to travel with. His base coat color is a solid sheen of white, and each of his four legs are dipped in light gray up to mid-leg. He has a gray mask over the upper half of his face and a white splash on his nose. His horns are sharp and curving, though not very long due to his young age.

About

What Rian lacks in size, he makes up for in persona. He is a very lively young goat, and doesn't hesitate to scale rock faces or leap to the extents of his ability just to show-off or for a little fun. He is arrogant, but seems to have a natural aura of a leader, as many of the herd will follow him or take to doing as he does. A very confident and excitable billy, he definitely has a unique demeanor.

Residence

Can commonly be found trailing behind Cillian wherever he may go. Otherwise, he's in Sapient's animal paddocks with the other communal goats.
