Anathema and New Dawn Conflict

The Anathema and New Dawn Conflict consisted mainly of one fight, although there were several tense situations afterwards between Anathema and New Dawn's ally, Casa di Cavalieri. There was always tension between Anathema and New Dawn, although everything had been quiet leading up to the attack.

1.  Summary

The beginning of the conflict dates back several years to when the mother of Anathema's Kohaku Amarok, Amy Sunders, was killed by New Dawn Wolves. Personal tension from Kohaku simmered ever since.

Unrelated to this, Anathema sends out Lithia Napier and Pride Tormenta on scouting missions in the northern packs. Lithia returns but Pride does not. The only sign of her is a battered crow with a note asking for help. Kentaro calls upon Anathema's leaders and new Eligos to try to drum up a plan. Kohaku storms into the meeting and demands to be part of the attack. Kentaro was confused and angry because New Dawn's leader, Kiara, was friends with his mother and he cannot imagine her attacking an innocent. Still, signs pointed to New Dawn's involvement, and in their weakened state, Anathema chose to take advantage of fate's natural course and destroy New Dawn.

Anathema sends spies to gain intelligence on New Dawn's status and numbers. With this additional information, they finalize their plan, sending out four groups of five members. They regroup in Anathema's old territory and launch their attack from there. On August 15th, Anathema strikes New Dawn late in the evening, cutting to the heart of the pack. Chaos ensues, with New Dawn members being split apart and cornered. Members that are too young to fight are able to flee. Two New Dawn members die and the rest are scattered, several with severe injuries.

Pride is not recovered until after the scattering of New Dawn’s members, and is found surprisingly unharmed. She reveals it was all a ruse to give Anathema a reason to attack the feral pack.

Former New Dawn members regroup in several places, including Vinatta and Casa di Cavalieri. Upon hearing of the events, Casa leadership marches out, and is met by Anathema's members at Rabbit Lake as they return home. Tense words and threats are exchanged, though there is no bloodshed. The Cavaliers and Anathemans each return home.

2.  Timeline

2.1  Backstory and Tensions

• Jul 15th – 31st:
  Anatheman spies, Lithia Napier and Pride Tormenta, visit the general area around New Dawn, seeking intel on members, pack status and numbers.
• Aug 1st: I can hear the drums of war
  Pride Tormenta's crow returns to Blackmoor Castle badly injured and with a grim message: “Help.” Angelo Kentaro Lykoi calls for a council meeting with second-in-commands, Axelle Napier and Mido, battle captain, Nyx Greyfire, ex-New Dawners, Lelouch Amarok and Bertolt Damaichu, and warrior, Kohaku Amarok. In the end, they make plans to attack New Dawn and save the captured Pride.
• Aug 3rd:
  A group of Anathemans volunteer/are chosen for the attack on New Dawn. They are split up into groups and leave separately from one another to avoid detection.
• Aug 12th: 'Cause I'm losing my sight, losing my mind
  The Anatheman groups make their way towards the pack’s old territory in the Howling Caverns, where they reform and rest up before the attack.

2.2  The Conflict

• Aug 15th: Nightmares Aren't Just in your Mind
  Anathema attacks New Dawn, taking them by surprise in the night. Kohaku Amarok goes straight for Kiara. Lucia Amarok escapes with some of the younger pack members and those who are unable to fight.
• Aug 15th: I'll be your Sunset
  A fight involving Kentaro Lykoi (AT), Altair Amarok (ND), Callum Knight (ND), and Theron Caine (AT). Altair comes away severely injured and Tsytsaki (ND) is killed.
• Aug 15th: [M] There's a Storm You're Starting Now
  The fight between Axelle Napier (AT), Skana Creo (AT), Veyra Damaichu (ND), Marius Damaichu (ND), and Leigh Madresju (ND). Veyra and Marius escape into the forest.
• Aug 15th: [M] Vengeance is Mine
  Kohaku Amarok (AT) continues his attack on Kiara Amarok (ND). Kohaku is aided by Lithia Napier (AT) while Kiara has Vuk Amarok (ND) and Khyren (ND) on her side. Totem (AT) and Kiara are severely injured, and Kohaku assumes that Kiara dies as a result.
• Aug 15th: There's No Making it Right, Let's Just Dance the Night Away
  A fight involving Nyx Greyfire (AT), Lukos Greyfire (AT), Fayne (ND), and Munroe Knight (ND). Reisha Amarok (ND) dies as a result of the fight.

2.3  Aftermath

• Aug 23rd:
  Casa di Cavalieri is informed of Anathema's attack on New Dawn.
• Aug 24th: March to the Drums
  On their way home from the newly destroyed New Dawn, Anathema members are confronted by Casa di Cavalieri's Brotherhood members. Tense words, accusations, and threats are exchanged, but there is no bloodshed. The members of each pack return home afterwards.

2016

• Mar 17th: Ill news is an ill guest
  Months after the conflict, tensions are still high. Ex-Anathema leader, Aeron Ganesa, returns to power and tries to fix the damage that has been done in her absence. She sends messages out to Casa di Cavalieri and AniWaya, asking for them to meet in an attempt to find peace between their packs.
• Mar 20th: The dim light of hope
  Anathema's reinstated leader, Aeron, brings forth the masterminds behind the attack and destruction of New Dawn and offers them up in exchange for peace. Casa di Cavalieri and AniWaya are hard-pressed to forgive them so easily.
• Mar 22nd: Cast away your sins, for better tomorrows
  Anathema members, the ex-Anathema leader, Kentaro Lykoi, the lying messenger, Pride Tormenta, and the vengeful son, Kohaku Amarok, receive their punishment for their war crimes: Kentaro loses a hand, Kohaku forfeits his life, and Pride is forced to watch. The two survivors are demoted to the lowest rank in Anathema.

  Before leaving for the fight, Skana Creo seeks fellow medic, Bridget Rhiannon, to help stock up on supplies for injuries that will be obtained in the battle.
