5.  Defining Features

5.1  Physical Features

Resulting from breeds bred to be hardy and high in endurance, Butlers are generally lean and well built. Though not excessively tall, their limbs are fine and build robust - and beyond rare cases of vitiligo, the family is not distinguished by any common illnesses. Puppies are occasionally born with bobbed tails, and while folded ears are typical, pendulous or upright ears may also make an appearance. All members are long-haired and usually bear heavy feathering.

Eyes

Their eyes are generally brown, blue, or grey - or the rarer shade of light yellow, a throwback from Aoves' wolf heavy heritage. Different variations of heterochromia can be seen in some members as well.

 Potential Eye colors

Fur

Fur shades of white, red, liver, and chocolate are typical, with the occasional black pelted canine making a rarer appearance. Different variations of merle are not uncommon, and many of the non-merle members are still characterized by spots, roaning, and/or ticking. They commonly sport limbs of black or white, and points of a similar color upon their tails and ears. It is not uncommon to find white streaks in their hair after shifting.

 Potential Coat Colors

6.  Culture and Homeland

  • Many of their breed characteristics remain in terms of temperance and behavior. They are generally highly intelligent, energetic, and stable in mental health.
