1.  Appearance

Are they tall or short? Lean or chubby? How do they carry themselves -- confidently and proudly, or humbly and unassured? There usually aren't significant differences between body types from Lupus to Optime -- lean, thin individuals will remain lean and thin, and thick, muscular individuals will remain thick and muscular. Regarding their fur -- is it thick or thin? Is the fur wiry or smooth, short or long, wavy or straight?

1.1  Build and Species

If they're a hybrid, you can talk about what species your character most resembles, and how the different species play into their appearance -- e.g., doggish build, wolfish undercoat, coyote muzzle, etc.

1.2  Coloration

  • Optime Hair: White (#FFFFFF)
  • Eyes: Azure Radiance (#0084FF).
  • Fur:
    • Primarily Grenadier (#D34802).
    • White (#FFFFFF), Mine Shaft (#3A3333), and Black (#000000) color various markings throughout Zelda's body.

Describe Lupus form. Don't forget imperial and metric (Google does this for you) sizes because not everyone can read one or the other.

Describe Secui form.

Describe Optime form. In Optime form, some characters choose to style their hair -- if this is the case, how does your character usually wear it?

2.  Personality

Zelda is a friendly soul, usually acting positively towards others unless they give her a reason to act otherwise. However, she usually only approaches others either with caution or not at all because she has learned that one cannot judge a person's intent by their appearance.

She has minor trust issues, and doesn't always believe what she is told by others and is a natural skeptic. She won't openly state this to those she interacts with though. Zelda is more inclined to believe those who are kind over those who are more mean-spirited or rude.

Zelda is very content to simply be alone, but that doesn't mean that she hates the company of others. She doesn't prefer one over the other.

She also has a strong sense of justice, and if there is a situation that requires her help, she will certainly try her best to offer it. If she finds that something is immoral (ie. slavery, torture, manipulation), she will fight vehemently against it.

As a result of talking to many different canines, she has minor knowledge in a steadily growing number of topics. She often utilizes the skills she has learned from others, and is more than happy to pass along the knowledge. Some things she knows of have little value to her, such as painting a picture or playing the guitar, but she enjoys learning and will never pass down the chance to be taught something, even if she may never do that particular thing again.

2.1  Ideals

Interests

  • Likes: telling stories of her travels, giving advice, friendly people, water, warmth, adventure, music
  • Dislikes: untrustworthy people, cockiness, mentally unstable people, cold, slavers, killers, death

Traits

kind, positive, skeptical, loner

  • Outlook: Optimistic
  • Expression: Extroverted

Fears

  • death

Sexuality

Describe your character's sexuality here -- sexual orientation (e.g., heterosexual) isn't enough of a descriptor, by the way! How about their libido (their desire for sexual activity)? How promiscuous are they? Are they monogamous or polygamous? How do they go about obtaining sexual partners (are they a nervous approacher, or a giant flirt)?

Substances

What substances has your character tried? Are they highly experimental or not at all inclined to try? Do they have an opinion on those who do indulge in "illicit" substances?

Spirituality

Describe your character's spirituality. What do they believe? Do they believe in (a) higher power(s)? Do they perform rituals? What do they believe after death? Do they have a creation myth? Maybe this section is long enough to require more space.

3.  Relationships

3.1  Key Relations

  • Characters: Here is where you might describe especially important family members (e.g., if your character has a close, competitive relationship with a sibling, describe it here) or friendships or whatever else.

3.2  Family: Families, Families, and Families

  • Mother: Hailfen Aerroduansa
  • Father: Furrend Delisopath
  • Siblings: Skyfen Delisaeero, Juzara Duansapath
  • Extended: Here is where you might describe their extended family, if necessary. This template is formatted to include only nuclear family -- why repeat all of a character's possible relations when it's a list of 100+ characters in some instances? :| Easier to link to family pages, says Sie.

3.3  Minor Relations

  • You might want to just keep a simple list of characters your character has encountered, or you might want to describe them, or whatever.

3.4  Former Relations

  • Dead and inactive characters should go here.

4.  Interaction

4.1  Residence

  • Somewhere
  • Describe their residence here.

4.2  NPCs

Tagg

  • Species: Otter
  • Description: An energetic, spirited animal who enjoys riding everywhere on Zelda's right shoulder. He speaks a small amount of broken high speech, but is hard to understand, even for Zelda, because he speaks so fast.

Zysha

  • Species: Red-tailed Hawk
  • Description: Zysha knows very, VERY few words of high speech. Her entire vocabulary only amounts to about a dozen words or so.

Illafen

  • Species: Horse
  • Description: A timid mare, still getting to know the ropes of things. Illafen (pronounced E-yah-fen) is slightly afraid of Zysha and Tagg.

5.  History

Zelda is the daughter of two travelling canines who roamed the Earth until they found each other, her father hailing from Europe while her mother came from the East Coast of America. They met on a chance encounter while both roaming around Europe, and decided to stick together for a while.

Well, one thing led to another, and after a while they decided to become mates, but not before spending many months together and eventually deciding to make their way to the faraway land of America. Before leaving on the nearly month-long journey to the new land, the girl's mother discovered that she was pregnant. However, during the journey, things went amiss.

Near the coast of America, a storm that had been brewing over the party for days had finally decided to break, and break it did. Shrieking winds and sharp rain battered the poor vessel around, throwing all but the captain of the boat overboard. Luckily for the travelling pair, the sea decided to have mercy on them and washed them up on a sandy shore. No sooner had they stopped sputtering water out of their lungs and expressing their disbelief at both of them surviving than the lady wanderer started having her pups, likely induced by the stress of being thrown into the ocean. Right there in the water, four pups were born, three living, one stillborn.

They had a litter of three children, one of which was Zelda, the 'oldest' (or so she'd like to claim.) ,the other two being her brothers Skyfen and Juzara. Even while the children were small, the family journeyed around quite a bit, eventually tiring of being loners and joining a nomadic pack that lived partially on a boat. It was quite a small group, but they were family nonetheless. Zelda spent the entirety of her early life with the group, growing, exploring, and learning as pups do. That is to say, she had what could be considered a 'normal' childhood.

Around a year of age, she started to become restless. The unexplored regions of the land called out to her, and she itched to break away from her pack and see the land for herself. Her parents saw the change in her, and decided to give her the option to leave though she was still slightly younger than most that left the group. She eagerly accepted her parents offer, and was gone within a few days.

She spent a little more than a year wandering northward, having all sorts of experiences and running into all sorts of canines. Those experiences toughened her up from the slightly naive, caution-less, trusting flighty girl that she once was and turned her into a slightly more guarded version of her younger self. That isn't to say that every soul she met was a mean-spirited one, but the girl was easily influenced by her first few encounters and quickly learned to not trust everything that she was told. She learned many things from the canines she met along the way, often swapping a few good stories of hers in exchange for some minor instruction in whatever her temporary companion happened to be good at.

She traveled many miles across many different lands, and as a result is well-versed in survival skills and adventuring. She has traveled on foot as well as by water, though she didn't ever have a particularly well-fashioned boat to use, instead usually making do with two logs lashed together with braided vines.

For now, she has tired of constantly travelling and has decided to find somewhere permanent to settle down, whether it be with a pack or by herself.
