Verloren

Appearance

In her youth Verloren is tall and gangly, with the classic disproportionately big head, ears, and paws. But, she does have some bulk around her neck and chest, an indication to her Tundra blood. With her big build she carries herself proudly; her chest usually puffed out, her head high, and tail level. Although, she isn't an exception to puppy clumsiness and often stumbles or bumps into objects any other would manage to clear.

Her pelt is rather short and thick, and darkly toned in earthy colors of saturated browns. Along with dark golden eyes and this coloration makes for good camouflage, which she often uses it to her advantage. However, because she is prone to get lost in her exploration of the world around her, her pelt can make it difficult for others to find her. In loving mockery her Luperci friend gave her a necklace with a compass rose pendant. The leather-made gift always adorns her neck, though unfortunately doesn't aid her in finding her way.

Personality

Verloren is a naturally dominate wolf, though she doesn't consider herself a leader. She is solitary and can usually manage well on her own, although age dictates for how long. By herself and around those she knows she is confident (and sometimes a bit of an annoyance in her playful antics), however is shy around those she doesn't. She is one that will run any babysitter ragged, for she loves to get into high, cramped, dark, and always dangerous places. As she ages she has begun to take on a more bold and arrogant disposition. However, her personality is still ever changing.

Biography

Verloren was born to the dominate female of a tiny pack of regular Tundra wolves in the forests of Germany. The pack often kept to itself far from any Luperci packs, fearing the more advanced canids would try to infect them like they knew some packs to do. However they did have a loose alliance with a neighboring Luperci pack, knowing them to be a peaceful group. The two packs had a friendly tolerance for each other and on occasion would mingle for long periods on the common ground between territories. Soon after Verloren was old enough to venture out with the adults she became fast-friends with one of the adolescent Luperci, Panzer.

Not too long ago another Luperci pack waged war with Verloren's, successfully killing her family before their ally had a chance to help. During the conflict (which was later learned to be an extermination) Verloren managed to evade the enemy by hiding within the depths of the forest. Luckily, Panzer found the terrified pup while searching for any survivors of the carnage. Fearing the other Luperci pack would kill her he shipped her off to Nova Scotia, hoping there she'd find safety. Unfortunately, he came down with a deadly illness along their voyage and died before reaching the Freetown port.

Stranded in this unknown land her only chance at survival is to find a welcoming pack.
