1.  Appearance

Tara the Exile's ragged fur is a deep brown-auburn, the same color as a redwood. Her underbelly and face are cotton white, but filthy with her time in the harsh wilds. Her back and face are speckled with slightly lighter colors of brown and red, making it look like she almost has freckles. Her fur is bushy and quite long, which is relatively uncommon for one of her species, even in the cold reaches of Canada. Tara's whiskers are bent and twisted, which embarasses her to a slight degree. Her natural eye color is a honey yellow, but her left eye has been damaged, and is now light grey and non-reflective. Her face is riddled with old scars, though they are easily overlooked at first glance. She is small for a big cat, no larger than a wolf in his lupis form. She wears some flowers in her fur when she cares to be wistful, but nothing else; she is no Luperci, and does not pretend to be. She often holds her head down with her ears back when she is around others. When alone, she holds herself in a far more natural way, tail up and ears alert for any danger.

2.  Personality

Generally lighthearted despite her loner tendency. Considering she spends most time alone, she has taken to talking to herself and the wilderness around her. More often than not, she can spend a whole hour joking with a tree that does not reply. While kind, she has severe trouble with others, and does not understand the inter workings of packs. She does not trust most Luperci, especially when they are in their bipedal form. She is painfully awkward and a bit naive to others, but her understanding of nature and the stars are unmatched. Often gazing at the stars, she can learn more information from the night sky than anyone could tell her. While she knows the stars and how they indicate placement and time, she does not know the stories or names of constellations. Instead, she makes her own stories for them, as she lays alone under them. She also personalizes the flora around her, saying that a tree is happy or sad because of the weather, or that a grand oak tree takes care of the saplings around him because they are his adoptive children. She is illiterate, and is mortified because of that fact. She often misreads signs, when she can recognize the words on them at all. Because of her poor relationship with her mother, she has a rueful view on families. She would be pleased to have one, but she knows all too well that the idea is fleeting, and as a feline, she can never truly have a pack or a life-long mate. She will never have a family, or warm and caring cubs, and she is saddened by this, though she tries to remain optimistic.

3.  History

Tara is a wild cat, and being such, she has no pack. She has no friends besides the stars and wildlife she uses for navigation. Tara's mother never taught her to read, and thus she is illiterate. She misreads signs and postings on territories, which cause some troubles with other animals. Tara does not know her father or his name, but she knows he is alive. Once, when she was a cub, she asked her mother about him. Rather than a harsh glare or a cuff to the face, Tara received a sigh. "He is gone, kitten, and you must never ask of him again.'' When she was no more than six months old, still too young to roar, Tara's mother told her that she must survive on her own. Ever since, she has made a life as a navigator, guiding strangers through the territories between packs. Being timid, and phobically afraid of Luperci, she does her best to stay clear of any settlement larger than Outpost. When she was 11 months old, Tara traveled back to see her mother, so that she may gain some closure. She did not receive a warm welcome, to say the least; her mother attacked her, giving her many scars and the loss of sight in her left eye. This caused her to realize that family is a fleeting image. After the encounter, Tara now calls herself the Exile, simply so that no one will ask her where her others are.
