Siginik Aston was born to parents Lutaaq and Anatole Aston along with his brother Tuktu and Timmiak in Lac Sakami. He left for ‘Souls when he was a little over a year old and wandered for a loner for some time before joining AniWaya.

1.  Appearance

Siginik’s fur is especially thick and luxurious. It is almost entirely white, save for the flecked golden yellow fur that covers his lower back. There is a joke that he's a mini-version of his grandmother, though his eyes are a bright sunny gold. They are a lighter shade of his mother's, and extremely expressive.

Siginik is, on that note, equally expressive. He's very active and this is apparent in his inability to remain still. This is further echoed in his gait, which seems to be a springy, near-constant jog. Niki is almost always smiling, which adds to his charming appearance.

He resembles an Arctic Wolf almost completely. His body is very thickly built and compact, and he is built like a barrel. This is further accented by a long tail and narrow face, which seem usually sized for his otherwise wide build. Due to his compact size, he is slightly shorter than the average wolf.

Siginik resembles an Arctic Wolf almost completely with yellow eyes, thick, luxurious white fur and golden yellow markings on his lower back. His body is very thick and compact, with thick legs and a deep chest. This is further accented by a long tail and narrow face, which seem unusually sized for his otherwise wide build. Due to his compact size, he is slightly shorter than the average wolf. He uses his Lupus form for long distance travel and tracking prey.		He is massive in this form, looking more like a fluffy white bear than a wolf and, like a bear, he is frighteningly fast for his size. His golden markings lighten slightly, taking on a frosted appearance. Due to his bulky body and thick fur, he overheats and tires quickly. He uses this form for short periods at a time, such as at the end of a hunt to take down big game.		Siginik's muscular, barrel-chested body type shows most plainly as an Optime. While he's fairly short for a wolf, his great bulk may be intimidating to some. He looks more feral than most Luperci in 'Souls; he stands with a hunched posture and keeps much of his wolf anatomy. The hair on his head is merely more wolf fur and he prefers not to wear clothes.

Siginik (or Niki, as he is sometimes called) is a hulking young wolf with a strong work ethic and a sunny disposition. He has thus far lived a sheltered life in Lac Sakami among only family and friends, but his exuberance and adaptability make up for his lack of experience. He is an individual that stays true to himself and his own values, but due to his trusting personality, it would not be hard for a particularly manipulative canine to get him into trouble. Despite his big-boned, masculine appearance, his mannerisms are borderline theatrical and sometimes rather effeminate. He is friendly and affectionate and is generally a pretty playful, easygoing dude, to the point of being a bit of a pushover at times.

His strength and endurance are exceptional, but he gets fidgety and distracted if he has to contain his energy for long. He keeps himself busy with near-constant physical activity, and loves to hunt and explore. While he is capable of doing physical work for hours on end, his mental endurance is less than spectacular. He has trouble concentrating for long, and if confronted with an intellectual problem, he will most likely grow bored or give up out of frustration. Nevertheless, Siginik is clever and resourceful, albeit in a purely practical way.

He tries to be nonjudgmental and greet others with a smile, regardless of whether they mean him well or ill. He is something of an optimist and looks at most things in a positive light.

Siginik is always open to trade as he explores Nova Scotia. He is very honest (just like his mama taught him) and won’t intentionally sell anyone short. He travels light and doesn’t care much for trinkets, but he puts a lot of value on knowledge and things he can use immediately.

6.  History

On August 4th, 2012, Siginik was born to Lutaaq and Anatole Aston alongside his two siblings, Tuktu and Timmiak. He was raised by his parents and pack members in Lac Sakami and had a happy, peaceful childhood. Next to his stoic brother and cautious, reserved sister, Niki was something of an oddball in the family. His father, Anatole, was a stern, independent wolf who put great value in physical strength and rigid discipline. Siginik idolized his father but was unable to live up to his expectations, and Anatole deemed him soft and weak-willed. He worked hard to please his father, but could not bring himself to use his strength for fighting, preferring to help others hunt, do chores or play with other pups around Lac Sakami. His mother Lutaaq, however, accepted him without question, and Siginik took great pleasure in listening to her renditions of old Inuit and Cree legends. Seeing he wanted an adventure of his own, Lutaaq pointed him in the direction of Nova Scotia, where relatives on his father's side lived already. She gave him a caribou leather backpack and filled it with dried meat, and Siginik set off for 'Souls.
