Rhaeka Napier

Rhaeka Napier, born to Sy Napier and Haiku, alongside her three other siblings, Anette, Merlowe & Xia, resided in Ontario, Canada for a long while as a member of a pack that had no name. It wasn't exactly an "official pack" as it was led by her mother, Sy Napier, and functioned as an unofficial family pack of sorts. It strongly consisted of the Napier bunch, mostly the children and their mates and their children. Those who resided in the unofficial family pack at the time were: Sy Napier, Haiku, Kaze, Anette, Tyko Amini, Merlowe, Xia, Rhaeka, her mate Aatu, and Axelle, Nero, Anzu, Aatu (Jr.) and Amorello were born into the pack and only remained for a short time.

Because the group consisted of feral and Luperci warriors alike, there was never entirely a dull moment. Merlowe was infamous for going on long hunting sprees and coming back caked in his own and someone else's blood; he also appointed himself to take care of any aggressive strangers that thought they could push them around. Then there was also Anette's mate, Tyko who was seemingly insane. Xia never liked him, and rose suspicions among the other adults. Her suspicions proved correct when he took Anette into the woods one night and snapped her neck with his great jaws. Her sister, Xia, drove him out as soon as she got the affirmative from her mother. The family group took care of their pups, Axelle and Nero, for a short time while they were still too young to leave on their own. Unfortunately, Axelle seemed anxious to leave them and soon Nero followed, even though he lingered a short time afterwards.

Rhaeka's family group broke up shortly after the fall of her mother, Sy Napier. It is suspected that the old warrior died of sadness after her mate and Anette's deaths. Haiku was violently killed by a bear. Aatu and Merlowe found him in the forest a few miles from their dens, barely alive and stayed with him until he was gone, and then brought the grave news back with them. Sy was never the same.

After their "unofficial" pack broke up, many of the siblings split off and went their own way. Merlowe was one of the first to go his own way, naturally being a loner by birth. Rhaeka assumed that this was the best time to break off and finally develop her own family with her mate, Aatu. However, Xia hung tight with her also and promised to always be near. Rhaeka planned to be as close with her sister as ever, but Aatu demanded her attention and eventually after becoming a mother to three of Aatu's pups (Aatu, Anzu, and Valeric), her own family demanded much of her attention. The memory of her sister slowly sank to the back of her mind, and she found less and less time to call on her.

Eventually the small family joined the ranks of a local pack, called Ombres Perdues, or "Lost Shadows", in the vicinity of Ontario and Quebec. They lived there a long time, each member of the family finding their place and easily becoming respected by the strange wolves. In the year of 20012, Aatu and his namesake were out hunting when they were attacked by three jealous members of the pack (Onyx, Siku and Bear). They were mauled, mangled and eventually killed on site. Aatu and his son were strong hunters and very skilled fighters, which enabled them to easily surpass many of the Ombres Perdues wolves who had been training for years. Many of the bull-headed fighters were unhappy with this, and a trio of them followed Aatu and his son out to the forest just as they planned to bring down a buck for the rest of their family, and when they caught up to them, attacked. They died a bloody, painful death and their bodies were thrown roughly over a cliff to hide the evidence.

The rest of the pack assumed that they were attacked by a rival pack or the other wildlife and consumed, as their bodies were never found. Rhaeka took the blow, but never suspected that the culprits were those of her own pack. Eventually later on, she had pups with one of the bull-headed warrior trio, Siku, resulting in three more pups: Siku Napier, Ryka Napier (her own namesake for a change) and Lazarian.

To this day, she resides in the Ombres Perdues pack, mated to one of the men who killed her mate and son, ignorant entirely to the whole situation.
