Priam Nothing is the middle son of Merrick Lykoi and an unknown wolf, falling between his older brother and younger sister. When Cirael June was kidnapped at a young age, Merrick became neurotically overprotective of her remaining children, sheltering and training them severely for self-preservation. Agrafena ran away because of their mother's treatment.

Then abruptly, after years of complacent behavior, Priam left his mother in a fruitless search for Cirael.

After discovering his brother's murder, he started committing crimes that were out of his genial character, and after struggling to suppress his "behavior", Priam became stringently possessed by his deceased brother's vengeful spirit.

1.  Appearance

1.1  Basics

Essentials

  • Species: While a hybrid, Priam leans more heavily towards his wolfish heritage in conformation.
  • Fur: Short and thick; he has a dense undercoat and a soft, unruly topcoat.
    • Optime Hair: Typically viewed as ungroomed, his hair is longest in the front, spiking forth in choppy bangs along his forehead, while keeping to a feathery fauxhawk in the back.
  • Facial Features: Priam has a long, tapered muzzle (a tad squarish by comparison) and tall, pointed ears that give his face a sharp, angular shape.
  • Build and Size: Mingling in size between an average coyote and wolf, Priam is shabby-looking, solid, and trim.
    • Lupus: Appearing more in size like the average wolf, his slender profile and shape betrays his coyote heritage.
    • Optime: Priam has broad shoulders, a well-defined musculature, and a thin waist.
  • Humanization: Very little; he enjoys some practical items, but will only clothe himself unless absolutely necessary.

Coloration

  • Fur: Martini is his main body coloration, with his lightest color, Silver Rust, being primarily found on his underside, face, and all four of his paws. Black Marlin appears at his tail tip and ears, also peppering his fur and ruff heavily.
  • Markings: Red Robin forms a stripe on his nose, creates a small saddle, and appears mixed along his pelt. Sundance, bladed throughout his body, is only apparent when in direct sunlight.
  • Eyes: Casper
  • Optime Hair: Black Marlin and Red Robin
    • Nose and Paw Pads: Oil

1.2  Miscellaneous

Modifications

  • Tattoos: N/A
  • Scars:
    • A lengthy, horizontal slash just under his shoulder blades, received when he was young; visible only in Optime.
    • Two, nearly full-jaw bite marks on his lower right arm.
    • Four thin claw marks scoring down the middle-left of his chest, partway down to his stomach.
  • Piercings: N/A

Adornments

Priam does not typically wear clothes, except for perhaps in severe weather, but he will keep items that mean something to him or are useful in other fashions.

Jewelry and Accessories

  • Always wears a thin, silver chain-link necklace (given to him by Azucena), from which hangs a circular brass charm that he found.
    • Engraved with the single word "SIN" on one side and an off-centered cross on the other.

Clothing

  • Has no permanent articles of clothing.

Forms

Lupus

88 lbs (39.9 kg)· 33 in (83.8 cm)
About the size of a wolf, though skinnier.

Secui

194 lbs (87.9 kg) · 42 in (106.6 cm)
Slightly disproportionate with his massively broad forefront and sloping hindquaters.

Optime (Preferred)

223 pounds (101.1 kg) · 6 ft 3 in (192 cm) Firm and slender, Priam's muscles are handsomely defined (moreso in his upper body).

Interaction

  • Speech: Priam doesn't talk very fast or have any particular accent. He doesn't speak very proper but his masculine voice isn't obtrusive or grating on the ears; rather, it is soft and he usually doesn't raise his voice. His tone most resembles Anthony Perkins' as the character Norman Bates in Psycho (1960).
  • Scent: A naturally woodsy scent, pleasantly heady and distinct with hints of tree sap, ivy, and pine needles.
  • General Posture and Body Language: Straight and attentive, though generally non-threatening, if not a tad nervous.
  • Quirks, Gestures, Etc.:
    • When inwardly nervous or hesitant about something, Priam will scratch the back of his head.
    • An unobserved habit of his would be when he checks his necklace to see which side is facing up. His reasons for doing this aren't concrete, but by leaving his actions to chance, he feels less accountable.

2.  Personality

Priam had always tried to be "the good son", and fill in for an absentee father. He was devoted to his mother and sister and did his best to provide for them, even as tensions brewed. Typically a very nice guy, he has abruptly been scorned—the murder of his brother being the figurative "straw that broke the camel's back"—into thinking that his Nothing lineage is a curse and that he should simply embrace a maleficent state of being. He's going through an uneasy transitory stage where he isn't sure who he is or what he wants to do. If this tells you anything, Priam is the type of guy who lets a necklace dictate his actions under extreme duress. Also, he is a scarily talented combatant but often comes off as extremely unassuming due to his somewhat hesitant behavior. Though big enough to throw his weight around, Priam tries to use words and settle conflicts this way before resorting to his impressive combat training.

2.1  Ideals

Traits

Sociable, civil, selfless, hesitant, coltish, perceptive, and insecure

  • Outlook: Idealist
  • Sociability: High; he genuinely appreciates interaction.
  • Expression: Kind, smiling and generally superficial; he doesn't tend to let deeper emotion show on his face.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Motivations

  • A people-pleaser through and through, Priam will largely work or help just to be doing a favor.
  • Being a "good person"; His sometimes straight, almost uptight behavior is also residual of his mother's training.
  • Getting rid of Cirael June's spirit.

Fears

Death (of a loved one), rejection, being inadequate or somehow useless.

  • All of his fears stem from his mother's abruptly neurotic behavior when he was young.

Spirituality

  • Priam believes in a singularly powerful, greater being who watches over them (God), but he's not fanatically religious at all and will avoid the topic if possible.
    • He's generally unsure of his own beliefs given how vague his ideals about it are and how irregularly he thinks about it.

Biases

Priam doesn't generally have any biases; not preferring any particular gender, age, or species to spend his time around.

Sexuality

  • Heterosexual
  • Worries incessantly about relations between family members

Interests

  • Likes: Anything sport-like, socializing, water (rain, swimming, oceans, etc.), horses, birds, hunting, and eating.
  • Dislikes: Confrontation, clothes, failure, unpleasant/uncooperative company.

Substances

  • A love-hate relationship with alcohol. He hates how it made his mother -- nonsensical, belligerent, unconscious -- but guiltily enjoys the way it makes him feel. However, he punishes himself somehow each time he indulges in it.
  • Marijuana is the only thing he smokes. His mother beat him the one time she'd caught him in her stash, and even though he's an adult now, he instinctively remembers the beating so won't partake in it often.

3.  Relationships

3.1  Key Relations

  • Myrika Tears and Vesper are (unknowingly to them) his enemies. This pair is solely responsible for -- what Priam assumes is -- the murder and decapitation of his brother, Cirael.

3.2  Family: Lykoi, Kimaris, and Nothing

3.3  Minor

  • Azucena Lykoi is an anomaly to him. He knows that she's related to him somehow -- however, she's aware of no such thing -- and he feels immensely guilty about being emotionally and physically attracted to her.

3.4  Former

  • Merrick is his mother and the driving force behind Priam's inconspicuous greatness. He tried to take care of her when she could no longer take care of him, and doesn't resent her for emotionally abandoning him (or for hitting him with that sword across his back once when she was drunk).
  • Cirael June (CJ) and Priam were very close as children. They had the "bright idea" to give one another a definitive scar a mere week before CJ was taken or lost. Priam chewed a circle around his brother's ankle, but before CJ could return the favor, Agrafena caught them and jealously ran to tell.
  • Agrafena did not become significant to him until they were a little older. Until then, she'd just been a vaguely irritating little sister who he loved out of sheer obligation. He didn't talk for three weeks when she ran away, and to this day he considers it his fault for not making her happy enough to stay.

4.  Personal Effects

4.1  NPCs

4.2  Residence

  • D'Neville Mansion, Inferni
    • He stays in a very plain, modest room (number 10) in the East wing, occupied only by a few things: namely his queen-sized mattress, a re-purposed wood crate packed tight with down and cotton, and stitched together with thick wool overlayed in a dull gray, satin-like sheet. Harosheth helped him make it, and it lies in the far corner, just below a grimy, coverless window. Against the opposite wall is a stack of books and miscellaneous belongings, the most eye-catching of which would be the bronze, five-pronged candelabra sitting atop a sand-brown box secured with a golden padlock.

4.3  Abilities

Strengths

  • Combat (Master): both armed and unarmed, he is a viciously talented warrior, born of the ruthless teachings of a paranoid mother who wanted no more of her children to be taken. Sheltered and trained, is what Priam became.
    • Swordsmanship (Master): his forte. He is both swift and strong making him a formidable opponent with nearly anything long and sharp.
    • Archery (Journeyman): good but not excellent, he can hit nearly anything from horseback (even at a gallop) but for some reason has bad perception on his own two feet. He works better in-motion.
  • Shifting: on average now, it takes him anywhere from 15-25 seconds for him to shift from Lupus to Optime. Though not a strength, per se, it is incredibly handy that he can shift so fast.
    • This is another talent honed by his obsessive mother, as she forced him and his sister to shift over and over again for several hours on end, each and every day. Soon shifting became an automatic reaction rather than a thought-process, and once or twice he started to shift without even meaning to.
  • Creatures: Priam gets along well with different species and is respectful rather than fearful of them.
    • Horses: he (physically) communicates best with horses, usually, as most of them sense his very genial character. He sometimes must prove himself a superior to them, if he is to ride, but he is otherwise a kind and spirited rider with a slew of talents under his belt for horseback riding.

Weaknesses

  • Mama's boy: he would still do anything for his mother; loyal to a fault to anyone he relates with her and connects with as well.
    • A side-complex of his makes him inadvertently crave/search for parental almost babying-like relationships with nearly anyone else. HE JUST WANTS LOVE, MOMMY ;___;
  • Insecurity: Priam questions himself so much that he would rather listen to someone else's opinion so that he faces less of the fault from his own decisions.
  • Impressionable: the above statistics make Priam very susceptible to follow the word of whomever he trusts or loves.
  • Two-faced: just like Two-face had his coin, Priam uses his necklace in essentially the same manner.

4.4  Inventory

Priam owns very little, and what he does own was either made or gifted to him. He doesn't typically own items that don't serve some sort of practical use or special purpose.

PIC HURR DURR

Room Items

  • A queen-sized mattress made
  • Books, an indiscriminate stack
  • A sand-wooden box with a golden padlock (made for him as a "house-warming" gift by Maddox)
  • Cirael June's skull (inked entirely black); kept locked in
  • Leather harness he made (for the horses) that also sports a detachable weapons scabbard and a fur-lined bag for miscellaneous objects
  • A small, five-pronged

5.  History

  • Born to "mom" -- the middle child to an older brother and a younger sister.
  • After brother was separated at ~4 months of age, Merrick got a little over protective and began training her remaining children to a hardcore degree.
  • Agrafena and their mother began fighting, much to Priam's displeasure. He did what he could to stop this and try and keep tensions down, but he wasn't always around to do this.
  • When Agrafena left, Merrick took this really hard and began drowning her sorrows in alcohol and drugs. Priam did his best to help her, but nothing he did or said could help.
  • Eventually, Priam hit his breaking point. He more or less dragged his mother back to the Nothing compound, where he deposited her with his grandmother Ahemait and mate. It was Ahemait who suggested he might look for his siblings in Nova Scotia, and she filled him in on the Lykoi heritage.
  • Priam set out to find Inferni, hoping that his siblings had gone there.
    • Coincidentally, his arrival came mere days after the execution of Cirael. He found the headless corpse several miles outside of Inferni; he recognized it only because of a distinctive scar on his brother's ankle that he remembers giving him purposefully long ago.
  • In his grief, Priam's complete outlook on life shifts and he develops a complex about something called the "Nothing curse" (now delusional perhaps) and he begins the uncharacteristic plotting of revenge.
    • A personality-split has occurred, however unbeknownst to Priam.
  • He comes across a young woman named Ryver Bangett, who he then used (fatally) to help him infiltrate Inferni.
  • Priam recuperates in the Hospital House for a couple months -- forms a bond with Inferni's healer Harosheth Kimaris and her closest friend Maddox Rowe -- and simultaneously starts to become an upstanding citizen in the clan.
  • Upon being ranked Caligatium, he takes the promotion seriously and displays false devotion with subtle grandeur.
  • He begins to display some erratic behavior with no provocation.
    • Inexplicably, he replaces CJ's skull -- which had been mounted on IF's borders -- with that of the stranger's. He inked black over every inch of his brother's skull and keeps it in a locked wooden box (gifted to him by Maddox) that he uses as a indiscriminate stand for his candelabra.
