Pierrat Benoît was a Serf of Salsola, freed former slave and confidant of Loki Helsi.
He is the only son of an Australian Shepherd dog named Gringoire Benoît Fauchelevent, and traveling wolf Din. He and his half-sisters were born mid-August 2011 on the southeastern coast of the United States, and were primarily raised by their French-speaking aunt Paquette.
A wanderer not unlike his mother, Piers left home immediately when he became of age and roved the coast of the States north into Canada. He fell into and stayed with many groups along the way, including Juniper Peace -- where he met Micah Lykoi, whom he followed when the coyote departed. Months after Micah, Pierrat reached Nova Scotia -- where an unlucky trespass into Salsola territory landed him as a slave. He was freed in the summer of 2015. Sharper than his station and behavior suggests, Pierrat acted as a confidant and tutor of magic in addition to housekeeper for his former master.

1. Appearance
1.1 Basics
Essentials
Species: Despite being half wolf, Pierrat most resembles his dog father. Little but size and musculature suggests his wolf heritage. Because of his breed, he has no tail.
Fur: His fur is thick, wavy, and double-coated.
Optime Hair: His mane is long, thick, and wavy -- generally falling into his face if he does not tie it back.
Facial Features: His features are doggish and soft, with high but flopped-over ears. His expression is generally relaxed, generally surveying the world through half-lidded eyes and a small smile.
Build and Size: The large end of average for a wolf, Pierrat is not towering but is larger than his breeding suggests. His build is deceptively muscular and tough under all his ridiculous fur.
Humanization: Medium -- Pierrat wears little (especially now) but carries himself in a more human-like fashion.

Pierrat looks, for all intents and purposes, like an Australian Shepherd mongrel -- furry and tailless. He sticks to this form for travelling and hunting.

His Secui form is unremarkable, if notable for an insane amount of hair. He almost never visits this form but will use it to fight.
Optime
260 lbs (118 kg) — 6 ft 9 in (81 in / 206 cm)
His Optime form is also rather average, if long-furred and feathered. It is his preferred form, and he is rather adept with it -- oddly dexterous for a Luperci.
Interaction
Speech: Pierrat was raised speaking French and so speaks it the most comfortably and fluently. His English is marred with an accent and the occasional awkward grammatical mistake, though he is generally well understood.
Scent: Generally, he smells of Salsola and Loki -- which is often accented by flowery or smoky scents.
Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: Pierrat talks with his hands, often with the purpose of redirecting attention. He also has a tendency to touch others when he speaks to them. Oddly, his face never seems to lose its hazy smile.
General Posture and Body Language: While not feral, Pierrat's posture is casual and often slumped; he looks relaxed at all times. He acts appropriately submissive among the general Salsolan populace, though his casual behavior with Loki is telling.
2. Personality

Hedonism: Pierrat wants to maximize pleasure and minimize pain. While this means following his whims, it also means knowing when to quit -- because there's no point if he's going to be hurt. More than anything, he appreciates life and knows it can all vanish in a second; he might as well enjoy himself.
Chaos: On a much smaller level, Piers enjoys creating chaos and confusion. Magic is his way of dazzling and confounding others, but occasionally so are compulsive lies. He is definitely a trickster.
Teaching: Although he was initially forced into it, Pierrat enjoys teaching Loki (and others) about ghosts, magic tricks, etc.
Fears
Becoming crippled, especially losing use of his hands

Pierrat has extensive experience with various substances ranging from tobacco to cannabis to psychedelic 'shrooms. He quite enjoys a good smoke to relax and more or less acts like he's half-stoned regardless. Cravings are one of the few things that can make him mad.
Extended: Piers' grandparents are Euphrasie Fauchelevent, Brujon Benoît, Cercelee, and Slay. He has no knowledge of the prolific Sadira family and would be amazed at the number of wolf relatives in Nova Scotia.
3.2 Relations
Key Relations
Loki Helsi is Pierrat's former owner -- a young coywolf interested in magic that amuses the hell out of Pierrat. Loki was a nice-enough master (apart from the occasional violent outburst) and was quick to free him. However, Piers knows that he is "in Loki's debt" and that the Bard won't let him forget it. Piers tries to keep their relationship friendly and spends much of his time teasing Loki.
Gringoire Benoît Fauchelevent is a ghost who often surfaces in Piers' dreams. He is not an active ghost and does not interact with Piers or the world -- only emerges in the same vision, time and time again.
Positive Relations
Quicksilver Lykoi & Hel Eternity are Loki's children whom Piers helped babysit when they were puppies. He had a good relationship with both when they were too young to understand slavery, and he is still fond of them -- though their attitude toward him might not be the same.
Micah Sunrise Lykoi is an acquaintance from Juniper Peace whom Pierrat appeared to take great interest in. In actuality, Piers was more keenly interested in the ghost that followed Micah.
Paquette Benoît Fauchelevent is his aunt, who took up the role of replacement mother. Piers loved her much like a mother but had no qualms about leaving when the time came.
Neutral / Negative
Céleste Sadira & Laurier Fauchelevent are his half-sisters (assumed full-blooded sisters) who were always closer to each other than to Piers.
Claude Benoît Fauchelevent was an emotionally distant father figure, who largely ignored the pups -- and who actually murdered Piers' real father, Gringoire.
Siv Helsi? conditioned Pierrat to be a slave; he is afraid of her.
