Oy'Vind Lambda

Oy'Vind Lambda is the son of X'yrin Exultare and the late X'ies Lambda, and is a member of the Nomads family. He resided in Sangi'lak until its disbandment in late 2013. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Appearance

(Reference) The mirror image of his bother Myu but with a few defining features to set them apart. Given the roles they were molded for, Oy has less bulk to his towering frame but is none the less formidable in appearance; a trait taken from both his mother and late father. After countless pestering he maintains an erect stature to compliment his 'family' rank, but on occasion can be seen in a 'slouched' position as both muscle and bone continue to develop to support his exceeding weight and height.

Like his brother, he shares the same off-golden pelt with hints of grey defined along the withers and middle of the back. His shoulders carry a more pronounced tint of the grey, but it is prominently noted on his forelegs in dark socks extending the length of the pastern, and in Optime form they glove the length of his arms just below the elbow; same as his mother.

As a growing youth, his mane is not yet the impressive length of the Nomads, but cropped in a wild manner befitting his adolescence that is bound to lengthen in time. More often than not an unruly fringe veils his honey colored eyes unless bound back by a leather band.

There are very few scars on his body, save from play with his siblings. A few nicks and scratches from less than delicate bites, but overall his visage is unmarred; the epitome of clarity as a Lambda should be.

Personality

Oy'vind is a thinker, born and raised. A trait believed to have been passed down from his father. Though X'ies passed before the pup came of age, there is a starting resemblance between their postures of conversation and train of thought. In his young age, Oy does not yet have a strong sense of morals, but they are developing. While he understands that not all things are 'right' he is quick to consider a 'roundabout' instead of letting things lie. It is a train of thought that has led to many an argument with both siblings and mother.

But when not contemplative or on the verge of argumentative, Oy is no different than any other young soul; eager to learn about the world around him, as well as getting himself dirty if only to spite his packmates and mother. The harness keeping him from going completely wild with exploration is his ever present twin, often found if not beside the boy, then lurking nearby. Oy looks to Myu more than a brother but as a protector and stability. The bond between them, even at this young age, is subjected to speculation.

Since he hasn't been out of the pack too much, there are view experiences to shape his personality. But as more opportunities arise, he is more willing to take them and make of this strange world what he can.

History

Born to X'yrin and X'ies in the lands of Sangi'lak, Oy knows very little of the world beyond the pack. Ever since his puppyhood he was kept within the safety of the pack, surrounded by his family long after he was able to shift his form. Most of his days have been spent in play while learning to take care of the tasks within the pack, along with his destined role of Lambda.

• Oy'Vind and his siblings are born into Sangi'lak's first litter.

• Oy'Vind's father, X'ies Lambda, suffers an accident and dies.

2013

February

• Snow traps Oy'Vind and his family in a cave, and Asgeir carries X'joroan to safety and seeks help.

March

• X'yrin Exultare officially takes Asgeir as her new mate, making him Oy'Vind's stepfather.
