Born the unwanted child of Marcel and Lydia; Niv was assumed diseased and likely to die as a pup because of his deformed eyes. Spending much of his life as a loner, he encountered and entered a relationship with the wondering loner Din. Their volatile camaraderie blossomed into a heated romance and it was not long until he gave his heart away without reserve; however, when Din discovered she was pregnant, she decided to leave him and raise the children on her own, not even informing him of the pregnancy or later birth of his children Ardoise and Marne. It is the memory of this betrayal and broken heart that has caused much of the twisted personality quirks Niv now possesses.
Luck and a few dropped hints lead father and son to cross paths, the two hence forth travelling together, alongside Niv's long standing friend Leonardo Auditore. It was from this initial trio that the idea was born and later, in October 2014 he founded the pack Sapient, alongside his son and heir, Ardoise, laying claim to the northern territory Bathurst and it's surroundings.
Nivosus and Constantine von Troy became mates in spring 2015, after having been in an open-relationship on and off over the years since they'd met; their relationship was relatively open still, despite the title given to it and ended August 2016. In addition to his eldest children by Din, Nivosus is the father of several other litters; typically the result of one night stands he can barely remember, to which he is a disappointment and poor parental figure towards - Bartolv, Austri, Sybil and Valentina.
Holding true to his selfish desires, Nivosus was one of the causing factors of the Dark Horse Conflict, resulting in the death of his niece'smate. Additionally, it was during this conflict that he and Naenia Ortega shared a night (and several bottles of wine), resulting in their two daughters Sloan Ortega and Nieve Ortega. The two later became mates, with Naenia rejecting him at first, only to ask him again later. He accepted, eventually.
Till this day, he still stands as Sagax of Sapient, leading alongside his eldest son Ardoise until Ardoise departed February 2016. Residing in the Government Estate, Bathurst, Nivosus holds the Metier of Swindler and works within the area of study Victomology.
In the 2014 'Souls Yearbook, Nivosus was awarded the superlative "Most Likely to Drift into Space from their Over-Inflated Ego".
In the 2016 'Souls Yearbook, Nivosus was awarded the superlatives "Vitriolic Best Buds" (with Naenia), "The Reason We Can't Have Nice Things" and "Most Likely to Pee in Someones' Breakfast" . In the 2017 'Souls Yearbook, Nivosus was awarded the superlative "Most Likely to Shank Their Own Child ".
Silex is considered a grade horse with apparent Appaloosa and Baroque hertiage ties.
A calm creature, she is well habituated to a range of situations, aiding in the establishment of solid foundations and fortitude against spooking. Primarily trained for riding only, Silex is built for speed over power and is gifted in movement; whether it be sharp turns or simply getting somewhere fast.

1. Appearance
1.1 Basics
Essentials
Species: A true hybrid, his heritage shows in a multitude of ways. From his wolf blood he has long legs, a stockier build and large paws. His coyote blood shows in the slightly slimmer waist and large ears, whilt his dog blood shows primarily in his fur and partially curled tail.
Fur: Soft to the touch, his fur resembles that of a usual wolves, however it does possess a notable curl to it from his Irish Water Spaniel blood.
Optime Hair: Dense and unruly, his hair reaches just past his shoulders in mixed density curls, similar to this.
Facial Features: With large coyote ears; the left of which is always flopped to some degree if not completely, Niv's facial features are a mash up of his heritage. Malamute shows in the slight chubby ness to his cheeks, his muzzle somewhere in between that of a dog and a wolf. His eyes however are his most striking feature, with slit irises due to a genetic anomaly from his dog blood.
Build and Size: On the tall side due to his long legs, Nivosus is of a medium to large build, with subtle muscle definition across his body.
Humanization: Very humanised, from posture, to how he dresses e.g.: Often wears Accessories.
115 lbs(52 kg) ↔ 37 in(94 cm) A true hybrid, it is hard to tell what exactly runs in Niv's blood. Slim and tall, this form is used more so than secui, typically for hunting; although it is still considered a rarity to see him upon four legs.
Secui
175 lbs(79 kg) ↔ 52 in(132 cm) A hulking creature when he takes to this form, the fur around his neck is dense and unruly, muscles growing in mass to give him an appearance of great bulk. Rarely used however, this form is his strongest and his slowest.
Optime
240 lbs(109 kg) ↔ 6ft 11in (83 in)(210 cm) Typically found in this form, Nivosus is a relatively tall canine and always dressed; although not always to impress. A rugged nature to him, from his unruly hair to his thrown together outfits, Nivosus holds a straight posture and is highly humanised.

Medical Note
Nivosus has inherited Colobomas of the Iris. In Niv's case, he possess a displaced pupil, with a hole in the lower part of his iris directly below, resulting in a cat like slit pupil. It does not affect his vision on a day to day basis, although at times his eyes can become sensitive in strong daylight, to which he uses his shaded goggles for.

Nivosus is always in optime form, dressed in at the very minimal a pair of trousers. Will sometimes wear more elaborate outfits to match the occasion / as required.

2. Personality
Egotistical and materialistic to his very core, he cares little to nothing about the wants or needs of those around him, self-serving in every way; his loyalty is fickle, if there at all. Even those he professes to love, would be thrown away if doing so aided his purposes in some way or another. Unknown to many, every actions of his is done for a reason, to benefit him in some way or another; if only to, at the very least, provide a moments entertainment or answer a question that popped into his mind upon a whim.
An adrenaline junkie to some degree, this pushes him to seek out challenges, to break the rules and do anything and everything that grants him a momentary thrill. Nothing is too low, to inappropriate or off-limits, for honourable actions never make a winner or a rich man and life is rather dull without all the scandals and drama. Restless and prone to shows of excess activity (e.g. pacing, fidgeting, etc), due to his hyperkinetic disorder, it is rare to find the Moineau in a state that could be described as motionless.
Indulgent in his lifestyle, Nivosus drinks heavily and is usually, to some level or another, drunk; moments of sobriety are rare and far between. Dispositioned to grow easily addicted, he is prone to falling victim to substances and abusing them to avoid his reality when things do not go his way.
Abandoned in life on several occasions, he does not trust nor care to let others get too close to him. Sarcasm and snark are his armour and when someone threatens to break through, he retaliates with harsh words, aiming for the cheap shots he’ll know will hurt, destroying relationships to keep everyone at arm’s length so that they cannot be the ones to hurt him.

Dislikes having his usual routines, habits or methods interrupted or adapted. Sticks to what he knows, will grow panicky and irritable if something is changed.

Nivous is highly materialistic; this is tied into self-worth and importance, as such lack of wealth is something to be feared, because he would be nothing without it.

One of his more obvious motivation is himself and his welfare; to make sure he has food, water, shelter and a good life.
Whilst not necessarily always greedy, he can be motivated to work for goods to add to his growing hoard of items.
If something promises to get adrenaline pumping through his veins, he will actively work towards and show interest in it. EG: a challenging heist.
Can be easily challenged by the words of others; being told not to do something can significantly motivate him to do it, just because.
Somewhat competitive, he can quickly be motivated just by the lure of 'besting' someone at something. Also tied in with greed.

Equally heterosexual and homosexual, Nivosus lacks any respect for his body or himself and whilst he doesn't not typically initiate, he will agree to sleep with anyone if propositioned, regardless of any attraction, existing commitments, etc.
Somewhat Demiromantic:, Nivosus does not typically feel romantic attraction towards strangers. Rather, he only ever begins to view someone in that manner once he has formed a substantial rapport and physical bond to them.
Nivosus is not one to initiate or take charge in the bedroom; he is awkward with expression affections, fears rejection and prefers choices and control to be in the others hands, to free him from being responsible for his actions, allowing him an out or plausible deniability for an instance.
Nivosus is highly prone to becoming addicted to things. Currently, his addiction is limited to a strong, uncontrollable need to drink alcohol and smoke.

Is a relatively heavy smoker and will go to extreme length to acquire his cigarettes -- can and will throw a tantrum when he is prevented from smoking, lacks supplies, etc.
Can and does smoke both Tobacco and Cannabis; however, is more frequently found smoking Tobacco and has a greater level of addiction towards it.
Alcohol
Spends most of his leisure time drunk, resulting in him being subdued and more focused on the task at hand.
Nivosus is often perceived as more cold and indifferent to things he normally would hold dear when drunk.
Brumaire Moineau Once close friends, Nivosus has manipulated Brumaire into being oblivious to their blood tie. Overall he is protective towards his brother and fond of him, although the two have long since drifted apart.
Vesper Through Marcel and his interactions with Inferni he is aware of his half-sisters existence, although the two have yet to formally meet.
Ardoise Moineau His son and heir, Nivosus has spent months travelling with his son and though it does not show in his demeanour, his is both proud and impressed with how his son grew up to be, with a firm belief in his son's skills and judgement; it is with no amount of subtlety that Nivosus shows preference towards Ardoise over his over children.
Marne Sadira A total enigma to him, his engagement with his eldest daughter has left him all the more confused as to what to make of her. Lacking common ground of any sort, there is no dislike but there is also no friendship to be found here.
Austri Moineau Shy in nature, he tries to distance himself from Austri because there is too much temptation to corrupt and manipulate the child to his benefit. He respects her skills as a tailor and dislikes the feeble nature and compliance to her maternal cultural beliefs.
Bartolv Moineau A royal pain in his backside, Nivosus actively and rather less than subtly avoids Bart. Unable to relate or even hold a conversation with his son, generally he finds himself quick to anger around him and disapproves of his maternal cultural beliefs.
Sybil Moineau and Nivosus have a rocky relationship, due to misunderstandings on Sybil's part and her idealism on what a father should be and do. Overall, as a result of this, Nivosus engages with her on a minimal, not wishing to reward her behaviour with his attention. Whilst he does care, he does not care to see her behaving as she does.
Valentina Lykoi Perhaps the most normal and respectable of his offspring in his opinion, Valentina is one of the more tolerable of his daughters for him to spend time with.

Naenia Ortega: He loves to hate her, to argue with her and drive her insane. Although getting him to admit that he has growing feelings for the bull headed female is not likely going to happen any time soon.

Constantine von Troy: A male from Niv's past; Con is one of the few canines who Niv feels relatively at ease around. After a long period of time, during which the two were in an off and on again open relationship, the two became mates in March, 2015.
Akantha: Queen of Sapient, Nivosus enjoys shamelessly flirting with her and upholds that she is his one true love; jokingly proclaiming they are in a fictional relationship. However, he is not romantically interested in her and views her more along the lines of a sister or close friend.
Leonardo Auditore: Perhaps his oldest and longest standing friend; if one could call their relationship friends.. for the most part he loves to annoy the hell out of Leonardo and takes advantage of the Auditore's more submissive nature, using him as a doormat....
Semini: Still rather an enigma to him; she is strange in her contradictions. Beautiful, yet doesn't believe it, insecure, yet has actively initiated things. Overall he finds her of some interest and refers to her as his little Barracuda. Currently he has upset their relationship and is unsure as to where he stands with her.
Brandy Blackrust: One of his pack maters and a great drinking buddy. He knows more about Brandy than he'd care to, yet no way near enough.
Miwa: His accomplice in stealing horses that led to a conflict, he regrets his selection of her, finding her untrustworthy, lacking respect. Suffice to say, he does not like Miwa in the slightest, although has attempted to build bridiges so that can be civil, for the sake of his position within the pack.
Snapdragon Lykoi: After she stole from him, he has zero trust or kindness to show towards this female.
Din: His partner in crime during his youth, she disappeared without warning one day which lead to Nivosus growing more unstable; till this day, he is still very much in love with her.
Education and Learning: A scholar because everyone he encounters found it novel to force him to learn, he was taught by a variety of people throughout his life.
Reading and Writing (Apprentice): Having began learning to read and later write upon shifting, Nivosus is adept in English and can read and write basic literature competently, with a reasonable grasp of word variation and a fundamental grasp on grammar.
Trader (Journeyman): A natural liar, he'll try to sell the very air you are breathing if given a chance. Confident and persistent, he's aggressive in his approaches to trading.
Cartography (Apprentice): Can draw crude maps of his direct environment, linking them to overs to provide an overview of an area.
His handwriting is messy, inconsistent and only really eligible to himself... and even then he isn't always sure what he wrote down.
He believes himself to be a good trader. And when things don't go his way, he'll simply resort to violence and underhanded means.
Cannot draw as well from recall, often has to draw whilst in the area directly.
Survival
Education and Learning: A combination of natural instinct and education from his family/life in general, Nivosus is a solid average in these areas.
Hunting (Apprentice): Nivosus is most adept at catching mid-sized prey, although he's more inclined to scavenge or choose a means of less effort to acquire food.
Tracking (Journeyman)): Capable of following scents competently, with a solid scent memory recall. He can also track through the brush via visual clues such as prints, broken pathways through foliage, etc where a scent trail isn't enough or is absent.
Scouting (Journeyman): Tied in with tracking, Nivosus is well practised in patrolling and securing his packs borders.
Smaller prey has often proven too nimble for him. On the flip side, larger prey often possess too much power for him to take down or is likely to cause him significant harm.
Environmental aspects greatly effect his capabilities; weather, type of landscape, his familiarity with the area, etc.
Niv is often drunk on the job or preoccupied with things he considered higher priorities, hampering his scouting abilities.
Deceit
Education and Learning: Nivosus's skills are a combination of innate talent and instinct, with outside influences encouraging the expansion and refinement of these skills, such as spending time within Marcel's pack and overall having a hostile upbringing, and during his time with Din, the two ran wild, further putting these skills into active use.
Deft Hands (Journeyman): Quick and subtle with movement, he can easily steal and swap items out, given the right circumstances to work with. He's capable of sleight of hand and misdirection, to varying levels of success.
Lacks Morals (Master): Nivosus is not weighed down by right or wrong, has little conscience about his actions and will do whatever it takes to further his own means and keep himself alive.
Dirty Fighting (Journeyman): Whilst not a refined fighter, Nivosus is resourceful and capable of emotional detatchment, allowing for him to make the most of a bad situation. Often he'll turn surrounding objects into weapons and use his environment to his advantage.
Hyperkinetic disorder: Niv's Hyperkinetic disorder is expressed in a twitchy nature, incapable of remaining still for prolonged periods of time, always needing to be doing something or working towards a goal of sorts, although on the flip side he has a limited attention span and grows quickly frustrated when things do not go his way and may drop what he's doing/rarely completes that what he starts. He can and will result to pacing and seek out destructive means to entertain himself; suffice to say, he lacks patience.
Over Confident: Because he is so sure of himself and his skills, at times he can and does overlook small details, dismiss others on the basis they are weak or. This arrogance makes him prove to being out manouvered or to someone catching onto him without him realising.
5. History: Before Souls
Sired by the corrupted soul Marcel, to whom had caught the eye of the naive Lydia; a young female coy-dog who absolutely adored and worshipped him, Nivosus was born of little love or planning, alongside Brumaire and Frimaire. However, it was not long after their birth that Lydia's health began to deteriorate at a rapid and unforeseen rate. There was little to be done and inevitably she passed away not long after the litter was weaned. Following their mother, Frimaire died too; the runt of the litter and riddled with the sickness that struck Lydia, the girl never had a chance at life. Seeking out the litter, Marcel found Brumaire and Nivosus, weak and scared. Taking one look upon Nivosus, he rejected the pup due to his unnatural eyes, assuming that he too was infected and not likely to make it. And so Marcel took Brumaire, leaving Nivosus for dead.
Luckily for Nivosus, Lydia's sister was still in the area. Finding the child, she took him in out of family obligation for a few short months, until she deemed him capable of hunting for himself, identifying his eyes as a hereditary trait, not a fatal illness. Passing on a bundle of goggles that his grandfather had used and what little she knew of his eyes, she cast him out, having fulfilled what she deemed was required of her. Out on his own, Nivosus quickly closed off from the world around him, growing jaded and wary of everyone whose path he crossed. Life wasn't easy and at times he struggled, but he survived despite the odds.
It was during this time he encountered Din who he opened himself up to a small amount. They were partners in crime, wreaking havoc wherever they went, living against rules set by others and doing as they pleased, taking what they wanted. He enjoyed his time with her, was encouraged further to lose all morals and stop caring for the opinions of others. Nivosus was young, foolish and fell hard for Din; but then she fell pregnant, disappearing from his life before he became aware. That small piece of himself he'd opened up to her was locked away, the hybrid wallowing in the hurt of her betrayal and swearing to never allow someone into his life again.
Curiosity began to plague him, leading him eventually to seek out the pack run by Marcel, joining under just his first name, it became evident that his father didn't even recognise him; if he did, Marcel didn't care. Unperturbed by this, he integrated himself into the pack, loyal to no one but himself and grew close to Brumaire and his band of crazy friends, remaining with the pack until Brumaire's disappearance.
6. Post Log
6.1 2014
Following the breadcrumbs left behind by both Brumaire and Dartmouth, Nivosus finds himself heading closer and closer to where his siblings are supposed to be. Having split off from Leonardo and Ardoise, he scouts the lands, reuniting with the two and setting up home in neutral lands; things remained relatively quiet until Grace Revlis, in a fit of boredom and her search for a thrill to feel alive, strikes at their home, leaving the small group unsettled about the security of loner life.
After much prompting, the group began to formulate a pack concept. Heading out, they began to recruit and eventually founded the pack Sapient in the northern part of the lands; with Nivosus and Ardoise taking up the leadership mantle.
[M]And a bottle of Tennessee By chance Nivosus Moineau and Alessan Stormbringer encounter each other again; whilst the encounter isn't positive, Ale has certainly caught Niv's attention for his winemaking skills!
