NPC Characters of Leah

1.  Using NPCs in Threads

If your character is in the same pack as my characters (and therefore their NPCs), feel free to reference these characters as being seen around the packlands, etc. in your posts. If you'd like actual interaction with these characters, that's cool, but please let me know what you're doing with them via PM. Special notes are added about each of the characters here, as well -- please pay attention to them, and make sure you are adhering to that character's temperament, etc.

3.1  Nadir al-Sayyid

Origin

They grew up together as children, and were paired off as partners by their Master to be trained. He took it seriously and exceeded Kadar in skill. Nadir wasn't born into the organization. His mother died during the fighting in Jerusalem and brought north by a female relative who didn't have the means to care for him. He never knew his father (ironically the mixed blood male was distantly related to Kadar's own father. The two coyote-bloods worked together as traders in Egypt and Jerusalem until the fighting drove them back to western Europe).

Description

Nadir looks, in every way, like a Saluki in body and form. The only Coyote influence evident to the trained eye is the denser, coarse fur across his body, half-pointed ears, slight angular differences in his face, and a more compact musculature. His fur is a soft cream color with a white ruff, muzzle and underside. His legs and the tip of his tail is also white. The characteristic feathering on the back of his legs, tail, and ears is present. He has a noticeable pair of scars running vertical down the right side of his muzzle in parallel lines. He occasionally can be seen wearing the same navy-blue abaya as Kadar (though his is lined with sheep's wool), but he is more commonly seen with high cut cotton robes and a red sash to keep it secure. The tailoring of the clothing allows for fluid, unrestricted movement.

About

Nadir is brash and bold. His sense of humor (in its rare appearances) is antagonistic, and he employs a gratuitous amount of sarcasm to most arguments. He is unafraid of strife, and commonly uses straightforward tactics to get information. But he also has a habit of getting into trouble because his mouth can run amok. He is reckless and ambitious; the perfect antithesis to Kadar's caution and obedient subservience. His fighting style is all brute force and strength, but the amount of finesse and grace he possesses is almost otherworldly. He isn't sensitive to the needs of others, and is mostly out for himself (and, as an extension, Kadar). The young man has a surprising soft side, but it is difficult to bring out of him.

3.2  Hashim

Description

16.4hh tall, strongly built; compact. Blood bay with dark socks, muzzle, mane and tail. Brown eyes.

About

Hashim is a snotty little shit with an attitude as wide as the Atlantic. He very rarely bites, but he will misbehave in subtler ways; moving so that grooms have a hard time cleaning stalls, bumping Luperci roughly with his head, or pinning his ears. He requires a firm, experienced hand to keep him from acting up, but can be won over with enough treats. He's extremely docile around other horses, and is hardly found causing any trouble among their pecking order.
