A vivacious man who is a good example of when good looks get crossed with a high level of self-confidence. He has no qualms about being quite a bit vain and is extremely outgoing. He is unafraid of touching strangers, voicing his opinions without hesitation, or risking offending people. He is lacking in tact most often, but has a great skill in purple prose when trying to woe.

Excels in excess, Maxime is the most prim and well dressed homosexual one has ever seen. He has a penchant for the dramatics, and can be incredibly condescending thanks to the airs he puts on regularly. Obsessed with cleanliness, he is a man more suited to hosting parties than setting up any sort of anything.

A very easily offended man, he can be quite fiery and his anger tends to make him react in poor or stupid ways. He is, at times, a capricious and flighty man, he finds himself more drawn to whimsy at times. Hotheaded, he is not entirely weak to pride and can be modest sometimes.

He does, however, have a dependable nature and is very much about the integrity of his promises. Despite his apparent skill in trading, he far prefers seeking pleasure than obtaining possessions. Besides clothes, accessories, and trinkets, of course. Vain he is, but Maxime can be a very devoted man despite lack of faith. Once a promise is made, he will go to any length to achieve it short of any personal harm.

Fishing (Master): Maxime can fish with net, line or spear, and considers himself very good at it. Trading (Journeyman): How else would a guy get his pretties?

4.  History

Born in Barbados while his family were on shore from a trading vessel, Maxime has spent most of his life traveling in the Caribbean on his family’s ship. He learned various fishing techniques including line, net, and spear, and he likes to think he’s particularly good at it.

He met Kalypso some time before she left for Nova Scotia, though she had mentioned it as a challenge to him to join her out there some day. Like an idiot, he promised he would at least make the trip once to see how it went, not being one to back down from a challenge.
