1. Appearance
1.1 Essentials
BasicsMania is, at best, a canine who looks like what you would assume a coyote to look like, but different just enough to make you question what exactly she's a hybrid of. Although, anatomically speaking, she's a fully-realized adult and won't be growing much anytime soon, her ears and paws still retain their larger-than-normal appearance by virtue of being born to a large father and smaller mother. Her coat is naturally short, with sparse feathering at the wrists, ankles, and elbows depending on what form she's in. Her Optime hair is light and often chopped short rather messily. It grows back long every time she shifts, meaning her hair can change styles and lengths often depending on when you see her.

Biases
SexualityBisexual, leaning towards women. Mania certainly knows of the concept of polygamy and is open to the idea, but unless specific circumstances arise she wouldn't pursue such a relationship. She can be flirtatious at times, but if her heart's really in the act she becomes abrasive and defensive, not knowing how to properly express her feelings towards another. SpiritualityGod is dead and soon we will be, too. SubstancesMania has smoked weed before and would do so again given the opportunity. She's a lightweight when it comes to drinking, though, no matter what she says otherwise. |

4. Property
4.1 Residence
Since arriving up north, the hybrid has taken to calling the streets of South Portland home for the time being. Her claim in the city is one of two or three rooms that still remain livable within an old college dorm. While not overtly focused on renovations or permanently settling down within Portland, Mania has taken to storing her excess wares within and using what materials she can to guard against the cold and make the room just a little bit more comfortable.

6. History
Mania was born and raised on the colorful, wild, and vibrant streets of New Orleans. She often claims to have raised herself, although this is not true. While her mother wanted little to do with the prematurely-born pup, she was given to her aunt Ishtar to care for. However small she may have been born, the hybrid pup soon turned into a rambunctious child with great curiosity and even greater energy. Thus, Ishtar gave her the name Mania, which she has treasured ever since.
Life was not always sunshine for the duo, however. The bay city's underbelly boasts quite a lawless territory, however high the wealthier patrons turn their noses up towards the darker streets. And Mania, being the young, impressionable soul that she was, soon found herself swept up in the tide. Despite her aunt's warnings, the girl soon found a love for exploring the more abandoned ruins of the city, abilities she would later hone to become a skilled freerunner. However, one such building was not as abandoned as she had assumed, stumbling onto a street gang's territory. One such member, a dog by the name of Nines, confronted her on this point. Thinking quickly, she offered herself up as a spy and thief to the gang, despite not being skilled in either of those areas. Fortunately for her, Nines was not a vicious man, and he reluctantly took her up on her offer.
From then on, Mania ran with the gang, learning from the veterans in the ways of the streets. She took up dual knives as her weapons of choice, and further honed her skills in parkour. Nines became something of a brother or best friend in her eyes. Although not everyone in the group accepted her easily or got along with her spitfire personality, she knew she could always count on Nines.
A storm was quick to roll in over this bright time in the form of Ishtar de Luca, who discovered her niece's whereabouts one moonlit night. Ishtar was a woman of tradition, holding close her family's beliefs from overseas, including their religion. And when she discovered her charge in the company of criminals, thieves, and sinners, the woman ended up disowning her niece after a long and brutal argument between the two. Many things were said in anger, passion, and emotion, with regrets on both sides.
Mania, however, took this the hardest, resolving to start over in a new life somewhere far, far away from the port city. Packing what essentials she thought she needed and bartering her way onto a ship in exchange for labor, the hybrid looked out onto the horizon and never once turned back since.
