Jacquard is a scruffy gentlemen, though it is obvious that he is more wolf than dog due to his bulky stature. He grew up in Toronto under the care of a single mother, and for the most part spent his time with the other children who lived near their caravan. They were always on the move, and this has instilled Jacquard with both wandering feet and a wandering heart. He loves easily and with great gusto - much to the chagrin of his friends. With this love comes great responsibility, but Jacquard has a tendency to lose interest quite quickly. The squad always teased him and Brocade for having gypsy hearts. A gypsy heart is surrounded by a brick wall and will leave before it's left.

Though Jacquard is known for being softer than the rest of his squad, he is also a soldier through and through. He is strong and always happy to join a brawl. He is scrappy and much better at using his fists than any sort of weapon - though when necessary will wield a set of brass knuckles that are usually safely stored in one of his many pockets. Jacquard's forearms are covered in scars from his many battles, and as the fur along his arms is thinner, he sports a tattoo of a bird on his left forearm.

In Toronto Jacquard was on a mercenary squad made up of Brocade Valentine, Etoile Montgomery, and Ferdinand 'Feu' Le Petit. They were very close until Ferdinands death, with Brocade abandoning them soon after to travel with his family. Etoile and Jacquard remain close, and the October of 2017 has brought them to Nova Scotia in an effort to begin a new life.

Jacquard and Etoile have joined Salsola as of February 2018 and are both currently ranked as Associates.

Outside of Salsola, Jacquard uses the name Tristan Renard, and lays the French accent on particularly thick. He will occasionally feign speaking only broken English if the mood takes him.
