Duncan Mac'claidheim

Duncan came to Nova Scotia to respond to a letter coming from Jamie O'Neil. Having grown up with the young man and his family, Duncan looks to explore the lands his old student has discovered and see if any new adventures can be found there for the old veteran warrior.

During his participation in a ploy to take over Casa with his fellow Scotsman, Duncan was executed without trial by Luca Knight.

Appearance

Essentials

Basics

Duncan stands like a wall, his body built to carry a lot of weight with it which added to his already towering frame makes him a threatening presence. The skin on his face droops slightly from age, with his face in an almost constant scowl. Across his body, Duncan is covered in scars, some ageing back to the man's youth, others more fresh. His tail hangs at a painful angle about 3/4 of the way down to the tip, making it look very crooked. The man hardly moves his tail as a result.

In Optime form, his hair falls down long and thick, almost matted. The hair that would fall down over his face is pulled back into a bun, whilst the majority is left to hand over his neck and shoulders.

Form

Mostly stays in Optime form

Clothing

Is clad almost constantly in old leather armour, well forged metal bracers on his arms, and a heavily built green kilt. Duncan is typically seen carrying his great hammer around with him.

Coloring and Markings

Duncan main coat is pure black, with a snowy white appearing over the front of his chest, neck, muzzle and brow. His fur has gained more greyish tones to it as he's aged, and the white features are beginning to leak more into his dark fur cover more space in flecks of grey and white. Duncan's eyes are an icy blue colour.

Personality

Stoic • Honest • Fearless

Basics

Duncan is an old man who fits well in the wise old man trope many would think of when looking up him. But for all his wisdom, Duncan believes in actions rather than words. He isn't a man who flavours his speech with honeyed words, he speaks honestly and brutally, and hates it when others try to butter him up with fancy vocabulary. For Duncan, real spirit is shown on the battlefield, and he likes to judge those around them by seeing the look in their eyes when he comes rushing at them in combat. A seasoned warrior, Duncan sees himself as a protector, a man who's strength should be used constantly for it's purpose as a warrior, and therefore the old man hates to be treated like he can't do something because of his age.
