1.  Possible Character Names

This is, by no means, an exhaustive list. They're simply ideas for an adopter to look at if they can't think of a name they like for this character.

Male:

  • Anani: A Hebrew name meaning "my cloud".
  • Hodei: A Basque name that means "cloud".
  • Mahpiya: A name of Dakota and Lakota origin that means "cloud" or "sky".

Female:

  • Mazina: Feminine form of an Arabic name meaning "rain clouds".
  • Pilvi: A Finnish name meaning "cloud".
  • Yǎwén: A Chinese name that roughly means "graceful patterns of clouds" or "elegant cloud patterns".

Gender-Neutral:

  • Lán: A Chinese and Vietnamese name that can mean "orchid", "elegant", or "mountain mist".
  • Manan: A Mongolian word meaning "mist".
  • Vân: A Sino-Vietnamese name that means "cloud".

2.  Appearance

Color design by Miranda, lines by Lockwork Orange on Furaffinity.

2.1  Forms

  • Lupus: Up to the adopter.
  • Secui: Up to the adopter.
  • Optime: Up to the adopter, but suggested as a preferred form.

2.2  Modifications and Accessories

  • Up to the adopter, but the character comes with a small necklace with either a beryl, turquoise, aquamarine, or other type of green gem and/or colored or stained glass. The gem is attached around their neck by a leather cord.
  • This character also comes with a pair of trousers, a tunic, and a long belt that holds up their trousers. The fabric and belt can be made of either leather or fabric (such as wool or flax). Depending on the adopter's preference, they may or may not be worn, be used for another character instead, or traded off or rid of somehow. Colors and clothing decorations are up to the adopter - the reference image linked above is for the adopter to get an idea of what the character's clothes look like.

3.  Personality

This character is quick-thinking, decisive, and tries their best to be trustworthy. They have a natural knack for directing others, whether it be helping them make a choice, telling them where they need to go, or dividing up portions of something among others. They often have a plan when something goes wrong, or a way to find a compromise or alter their plans on the go. Despite the fact they work well in a team, they are an ambivert, and need downtime to gather their thoughts and think over their options once the day is done. They have stoic tendencies around friends and acquaintances alike, but they can be quickly moved to anger or action when others are in danger or are being mistreated. To treat someone callously in front of this character is akin to insulting their family or best friends.

This character, if they had a D&D alignment, would be True Neutral. From most to least importantly, they believe that they:

  • Shall not murder, for no one deserves such a fate
  • Shall not kill the innocent, for the innocent have done nothing wrong
  • Shall avoid lies, as it's good to be as honest as possible with people and yourself
  • Shall aid those who aid them and harm those who harm them, but may deny or spare people depending on the circumstances at hand
  • Shall honor those who honor them, but quickly come to disrespect people who deliberately act mean and cruel

In regards to their behavior and their alignment, they will, from most to least likely:

  • Believe people deserve the treatment they are willing to endure, because what goes around comes around
  • Generally keep their word, as it's good to be dependable
  • Take risks if the benefits are great, as nothing in life is achieved without some sort of risk
  • Not concern themselves with the less-fortunate, but can't stand to see someone in need and will act if faced with someone in need
  • Not concern themselves with politics, but will speak up if a law or rule seems to be causing harm of some kind

4.  Relationships

This character was raised by their extended family and/or parents due to their family being away, dead, or somehow estranged or distant. Their cousins were more like siblings, and this has left the character with a deep respect for people's adopted families and elders. They may or may not have reconciled with their birth parents, but even if they have, it's left an effect in that they are ready to distance themselves from others at a moment's notice. Any friends or lovers may find them cautious or guarded for the longest time, and several relationships have ended due to the character being seen as indecisive or cold. The character also likes to keep things simple, and usually only has a few friends at a time and isn't a fan of polyamory. They do not take betrayal or cheating well, and feel that giving their trust is one of the most significant things they can do.

There are a number of open territories you can use as a place of origin for this character, or create backstory and ties to. Good examples for this particular character include Aapísis Mîkiwâm, Barcelona, Malai Ratree, or Portland. The on-board settlement of Freetown may also be a good option.
