Originating from the Canary Islands and born from nomadic traders, Cortez and his sister, Reina del Sol grew up in a constantly changing environment and learned much of their life skills on the roads. Often only in the company of his relatives, Cortez is a reserved and shy individual, despite his large build and intimidating looks. A truly gentle soul and loyal to his family, Cortez got roped into one of his sisters many grand schemes for riches, which forced them into travelling further and further away from their home.
As the mercenary job that Reina had taken began to turn sour, the siblings were stranded in unknown lands as winter took hold of the lands. Unaccustomed to the cooler climates, the pair sought membership in one of the local packs, Sapient, in December 2016, enjoying the stability and benefits of belonging to a larger group of canines.
Cortez was a member of Sapient, ranked Cessavi and holder of the Masonry metier, before the pack was disbanded in July 2018.

1.1 Basics
Essentials
- Species: A mix of native Spanish breeds, Cortez is inherently a herding and guarding dog hybrid, possessing bulk and yet adaptations to survive in warmer weather. A direct result in mossoid types mix-breeding with other breeds to allow for better adaptions to survive.
- Fur: Short and fine, his fur is soft to the touch, although doesn't do much to aid him in keeping warm.
- Optime Hair: Cortez doesn't have any optime hair and often covers his head with a bandana.
- Facial Features: Slightly broader features than a Podenco Canario, although lacking any apparent features from his Molossoid heritage. Angular and pointed, with a slim muzzle.
- Build and Size: Large in build thanks to his Molossoid heritage, Cortez is built for hard work and his form is covered in compact muscles, his mixed breed heritage slimming him down to some degree, having long legs and paws a little to small when compared to the rest of him. His fine fur highlights his muscular structure.
- Humanization: Very high. Always clothed and made presentable; will dress up more for certain situations.

Fine furred and muscular, Cortez has long legs and is relatively stocky in this form. This is his most agile of forms and is typically used for hunting.

Gaining bulk all over, there is no subtle grace to Tez's secui form. A picture of pure muscle and strength, a truly fearsome sight to behold; it even comes in constant slow motion!

Tall and burly, he has notable weight to him which gives him the bulk of his strength to complete his work. Often his size can be hard to truly comprehend, due to his posture curling in on itself.

- Cortez has an intentionally cropped tail; as a pup, he'd get it caught in doors, small spaces and damage it upon his surroundings.
- His ears were cropped as a social custom of his family that all males go through.

Cortez is highly humanised; although wears simple and practical items on a day to day basis. When acting as a representative of the pack or out trading, he will don more colourful and traditional Spanish clothing; typically in shades of blue, red and gold.

- Speech: Cortez is softly spoken with a Spanish accent. His English is fluent and for the most part clear, although his preferred language is Spanish.

- Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: Will pull at the material of his clothing and worry it when nervous.
- General Posture and Body Language: Submissive and on edge, his shoulders are typically hunched as if he is trying to curl into himself. With a docked tail and cropped ears, his ability to express himself with body language is fractured, resulting in more extreme bodily communication and signs of submission. Rarely ever makes eye contact.
