Essentials

• Species: Cody mainly favors his dog heritage, that of a Belgian Shepherd both in stature and size. He has mildly floppy ears that started with one straight and alert and eventually ended with both the same.
• Fur: Cody's fur is like most dogs', soft to the touch at the downy but rough near the surface due to his wolf ancestry. His fur is long and often needs to be cut so that he can stay ahead of the game and stay cool. This, he has gained from his father's side of the family though much of his pelt's coloring is owed to the dog side of his family.
  • Optime Hair: If any particular style fits Cody, it's thin and lanky as far as hair goes, a cross between scene and spiky, though not truly styled in any particular manner. It falls to his shoulders and with his floppy ears, seems to cover more of his head than most other canines, coming down in front much like a human's.
• Facial Features: Cody has a very expressive face. While most of his emotion is sort of lost to the world due to a life of contempt and self-consciousness, he can always be seen with a smile on it. Much of his face resembles his dog-heritage, domed forehead, a long squared muzzle
• Build and Size: Cody is not intimidating or very tall. To most, it would seem at first that he is not a threat by any means. To those who look closer, Cody is compact and muscular, years of trained muscle built from hunting, scouting and training borne from his struggles growing up. He stands at a medium height, never really rising to a taller status of those born before him. He prefers to appear as a wolf, lupus, so as to not display his sometimes sloppy demeanor.
  • Lupus: As mentioned before, Cody is of medium size and does not look like much of a threat. Perhaps the more feral of his forms, he feels more at home in his lupus form when greeting people for the first time because he likes to seem as if he's a wolf in a dog's disguise so as to hide his sometimes sloppy actions. His fur is kept genuinely short, either by Tobias' hand or his own.
  • Optime: His second most used form, Cody employs this the most when he is fighting with another.
• Humanization: Cody is only moderately humanized. Coming from New Dawn, he's learned to keep himself somewhat feral and thus likes the feeling of no clothes binding him. However, he does normally use a bear fur cloak that clasps in the front. His necklace is a Frithr pendant from Vinatta that he's never taken off, not even once.

  • His ears and socks are all Brown Derby, some spots near his shoulders. His marking also has a spot that goes around his left eye.

Fears

• Death: Cody fears death, much like every other canine. But he fears it worse because he never knows when he's gonna go. He's had three near-death experiences now.
• Betrayal: Since he has a habit of making the wrong sorts of relationships, he often ends up being betrayed and it's taken its toll on the Rhiannon man. He fears betrayal worse than death because it means he has to live with it on a daily basis.
• Punishment: He doesn't often do things that would get him in trouble. When he does, though, he's fearful of being caught or being punished for it.
• Claustrophobic: Since his den collapsed, he has a fear of being deep under earth. The dens of Vinatta do not scare him like his personal one did though he does not like tight spaces.

Biases

• Packs: Anathema has gotten on Cody's bad side since the New Dawn incident. He no longer trusts canines from there, probably including anyone from his family that is still living there themselves.
• Species: While Cody doesn't really have any hatred toward himself, or dogs for that matter, he does somewhat retain some of the resentment of his dog nature and tries not to show that too often, especially around other dog hybrids or dogs themselves.
• Non-Luperci: Has no ill will toward those of a Non-luperci nature. Has even been friends with more than one such individual though he does see the usefulness of being a luperci.
• Gender: Loves women, though might be a little scared of them on the inside. Doesn't know how to react with them since he's been in one too many bad relationships.
• Color: Loves luperci with heterochromia. Finds it a turn on. (Just kidding but he does like them)
• Sexuality: Will reject most homosexual relationships due to New Dawn upbringing. Believes that wolves and canines should only become mates if they're going to have pups. If not, it's a companionship and nothing more.
• Age: Believes the old must be respected, the young must be taught and those of standard age must protect, nurture and aspire to do great things within their pack.

Sexuality

Cody is primarily Heterosexual, though he has never had to deal with the advances of males. He is unsure of how he would feel if that were to happen.

3.1  Relations

Key Relations

• Tobias Rhiannon is Cody's adopted son who he rescued after his dying mother came to him for help in saving her family. While he failed at protecting the mother and Tobias' real father and immediate family, he adopted the boy and has held him close at hand from the beginning. He does so even now that Tobias has gone blind. Cody is his protector and in return, Tobias listens to Cody when Cody needs someone to talk to.

Positive Relations

• Fionna Soulstorm is the reason Cody came back to Vinatta. She met him in the wild and the two of them have known each other most of Fionna's life, minus the time that Cody has spent outside of Vinatta in general. She is a rather key figure in his mind currently and there is a budding friendship between the two.

Neutral / Negative

• Aspen is Cody's second love. The two of them were really close before Cody disappeared to save Tobias and his family. Unfortunately, the two split up after, or before, Cody returned to find that Ascher Stormbringer had moved in and was in a budding relationship with her. He left Vinatta to escape the pain of losing her and there is always the potential of pain being rekindled in their paths. Neutral.

• Ascher Stormbringer is what Cody would like to call his nemesis though Ascher has only done one real thing to him that makes him think less of him. He swept in, in Cody's mind, and stole Aspen from him before he was able to really prove to the woman that he loved her. He envies him for being able to spend time with Aspen.

Scouting

• Education and Learning: Cody learned most of this by personal experience, leaving the borders, patrolling the borders, finding new paths and tracking herds over the land.

• Lupine Hunting (Master): Experienced hunter on both lupine and two-legged forms. Prefers to hunt in a group but is a perfectly good hunter otherwise.
• Tracking (Master): Cody's mother taught him to track when he was very little. He is a better tracker than most and has a specialty when it comes to spotting prints on the ground or broken items along the path.

• Cody is a little overzealous when it comes to scouting. Because he is clumsy, he loses track of himself sometimes and falls off the path, sometimes literally.

Fighting

• Education and Learning: Cody was first taught how to fight as a pup in a pack of wolves. Due to New Dawn not being kind on a half-breed wolf-dog, he was taunted by other pups and adults, disciplined to a higher degree. It's fashioned a warrior who is sturdy, trained and hard pressed on any battlefield. He was trained in swordsplay, archery, staff fighting, and knife combat.

• Feral fighting (Master): Cody can handle his own. As an ex fighter of both New Dawn and Vinatta, he's several years of experience with this particular aspect. It's helped him take down a bear with Chloé Moineau and kill an assaulting loner on Vinatta's borders in the midst of an attack.
• Swordsmanship (Advanced): He was trained in swordsmanship by Vinatta's own Palaydrian Soul in Amherst.
• Blunt Weapons (Journeyman): He practiced for a little while with a staff. After learning he wasn't the best, he gave up on this skill to pursue better options such as knives and swords.
• Archery (Journeyman): Cody is very good with a bow and arrow but lacks the experience behind it to use it quickly in a time of need.
• Knifeplay (Master): He's used a knife since he was able to use one. Whether it's been carving, sculpting or fighting with it, he's always had one in his hands. He's good dual blade fighting but sometimes prefers the feeling of one blade rather than two.

• When angered, Cody can be a bit rash. Especially when his family or friends are involved. He is a hero deep inside and wishes only to protect those he cares about. Anyone else is just a sidestory character in his opinion until they prove otherwise. He's weary of them and will display such weariness until they settle things with him.
