1.  Appearance

Lean, spry, a bit scruffy, Claude’s fur is different shades brown ranging from sandy to dark, with the dark fur being along his back and tail. He’s also starting to get some grey fur around his muzzle. His eyes are brown.. Claude tends to wear clothing for warmth, usually dull colors with many patches. He doesn't really care what his clothes look like, as long as they do the job, except that he doesn't particularly enjoy bright colors. He'll still wear them, though, if they're the only thing available.

2.  Personality

Claude is superstitious, intelligent, crude, and rough around the edges with a dry sense of humor and a dislike for wasting things. He does his best to use every part of a kill, and reuse things that he's made, such as fishing nets, until it's impossible to repair them anymore. Claude has a strong work ethic and doesn't like to take breaks, even when he needs to.

He only makes fun of those he likes, and the ribbing is good-natured. Claude enjoys Pepper’s company. It's not uncommon for him to be sitting in front of his house predicting the weather based on his joints, and he is sometimes right.

3.  History

Claude and Pepper have been around each other since they were quite young. Claude found Pepper, who had been separated from her family group, and offered her some food and a place to stay for a few days. She ended up unable to find her family, and instead found her way back to where he had been camped out. The pair eventually found Gavin and his friend Taseko with their small herd of caribou, and then a pair of dogs named Aster and Briar. Aster and Briar Cormier had four puppies, Gus, Fin, Tybalt, and Eliza, and their little group grew. More canines joined them, but in 2012, Aster and Briar were lost to a hurricane.

They pushed on without them, mourning the loss, and in 2014, the home they had built near a river flooded, washing away most of their homes, supplies, and some of their livestock. Luckily all of the canines escaped, as did some of their animals. Lucille and Gus set off to find somewhere else to live, having traveled fairly extensively themselves on the way back from when Gus found her. In the meantime, the rest of the group salvaged what they could and then set off when they were notified.

Once they arrived, they met even more new canines. Their new home had been decided upon, so Claude got to work with the rest to start settling in.

4.  Relationships

4.1  Key Relations Lucille: Lucille is the leader of his pack, however he has known her for several years when August Cormier brought her home. August Cormier: Claude has known Gus since Gus was born. Pepper: Claude really enjoys Pepper's company, even if she doesn't necessarily appreciate it.

The adopter is free to expand his abilities and weaknesses.

Strengths Fishing (Master): Claude is a very good fisherman, mostly using nets, although he uses a pole as well. Caribou care (Master): This is a skill he learned over several years from Gavin. Animal Husbandry (Master)

Weaknesses Physically, Claude is slowing down a bit, although he tries to hide it. He has a bit of arthritis.
