Essentials
- Species: Cassidy appears to be a dog, her wolf blood only evident in her sturdiness, wild-patterned fur, and eyes. A mutt, she shows few distinct traits of her individual breeds.
- Fur: Her fur is thick and coarse, longer on her ears, chest, and legs.
- Optime Hair: Dark, thick, and curly like her mama's. Presently wild and unruly, cut at about her jaw.
- Facial Features: She has a very expressive, doggish face, with very few hints of any feral blood. Her ears are floppy, but they can prick up a bit.

- Cassidy has an exuberant, tomboyish personality. She's loud and boisterous and always glad to get down and dirty, not understanding why girls would ever get stereotyped as quiet or gentle.
- She truly isn't happy unless she's doing something. Lively and eager, she's ready to do a favor for anybody as long as it involves some actual work and effort. If she can't find a good outlet for her energy, she'll look for it by doing the forbidden and getting into (fun) trouble just for a kick.

Description
Medley has powerful bloodlines; the cross between a cob mother and draft father, she already appears very muscular and stocky. She looks like she will surpass her mother in height, but will not reach the size of a true draft horse. She has the feathering typical of her parents' breeds.
She is dark, smoky bay and white. Her legs and body are mostly white, splashed with dark brown around her flank and belly. From her neck upwards is dark, other than a thin white blaze on her face. Her mane is black with a segment of white near the withers, and her tail is white fading into black.
About
Medley is just as much of a spitfire as her mother, and is not as tempered by age and training. She is not malicious so much as troublemaking, however; she often harasses submissive horses and bullies her way into getting what she wants. She is a bit gentler with Cassidy and obviously is fond of her -- but while the girl talks about Medley's sweet nature, Medley is often leering at her next enemy.

4.1 Abilities
Livestock
- Education and Learning: Cassidy was taught a wide range of skills with livestock, especially horses, from both her parents -- masters in their own right. She has a powerful fundamental understanding of these skills, though she's still inexperienced due to her young age.
- Please note: as of writing, Cassidy is only 7 months old -- giving her ~1 month's experience directly riding and doing other Optime-needed skills. Skills are written as if she's had a few more months' experience. She's good with horses, but not that good!

- Horses (Riding) (Journeyman): Cassidy is a comfortable and proficient rider thanks to learning to ride as soon as she could shift. She can put an easygoing horse through all its paces and even has enough energy to handle more intense horses.
- Horses (Maintenance, Care) (Journeyman): Cassidy knows the basics of how to care for horses -- feeding, grooming, basic signs of illness, other needs. She was put to work at a very young age helping her parents take care of their herd.
- Horses (Training) (Dabbler): Cassidy knows the basics of how to train horses -- mostly foals. She understands the general process of breaking them to halter and saddle, though she has not directly partaken in the act.
- Wrangling (Apprentice): Cassidy has witnessed her parents capture and control wild livestock, and helped them in some of their projects. She's too young and small still to really help, but she has successfully helped control smaller animals, such as piglets and sheep.
- Herding (Dabbler): Cassidy has witnessed her parents herd cattle and ridden a horse alongside them, though she has never partaken in the act directly.

- Cassidy is very young and therefore rather inexperienced. She can ride a horse as well as any kid who's grown up in the saddle, but she doesn't know how to deal with many situations, especially dangerous ones. Her childhood has given her a strong advantage, and she can eventually grow to master this art, but until she comes across new scenarios and falls on her butt once in a while, she's only as good as her age.
- Though she has a talent for "wrangling" animals, she is still inexperienced and pretty naive to the dangers. She follows her parents' order not to attempt to wrestle a wild adult horse or something like a boar mostly because she would injure herself trying. She might also be a little too intense with baby animals and risk hurting them.

- Harmonica (Dabbler): An old hound traded his harmonica away to Cassidy and gave her a few lessons. She's a sloppy player with clumsy tongue and fingers and hasn't quite trained her ear to pitch, but she has the fundamentals necessary to play a little tune.

5. History
Cassidy and her siblings were born in the southwestern United States to Chevelle Dallas. The first few months of their life, they knew only their mother and Uncle Dodge and their horses. Both worked hard to keep the children cared for as they traveled, which they did a lot of; the pups quite literally grew up in the saddle.
Their father, Wayne McCoy, joined them (coming from Casa di Cavalieri) when they were not quite shifting age. The small family band joined up with a group of ranchers that Chevelle knew, working to raise horses and cattle. The children learned horsemanship and other skills from both parents, and when they came of age, received steeds of their own.
Cassidy was about nine months old when her sister Annie decided to travel to eastern Canada, the setting of bedtime stories Wayne raised the pups on -- including the knights of Cavalieri and their allies. Soon, a stranger on the run, Colm Erskine, passed through the area, Wayne told the man about Nova Scotia as a potential haven and place for work -- and the three remaining children announced their intention to go with the man. Wayne sent his children off with stoic advice.
The trio traveled with Colm for two months to reach New Brunswick, learning both from the man and from experience along the way, battling inexperience and exhaustion and the cold winter. They arrived in February and split off to find their father's old pack and look for their sister. Cassidy and John went off on their own; the siblings were separated from each other because of the Spring 2015 Flood.
