Camellia Amaranthe is a Domus Parva and Librarian of Sapient.
She is the third daughter of Petunia Amaranthe and Madura Secoya, a distant cousin of Semini and Akantha.
She was born to the Amaranthe family branch that deals directly with herding livestock. As a way to distinguish herself from her siblings, who are "lesser" because of their association with hard labor, she volunteered to accompany the Alta Baronesa Thalia Amaranthe to Freetown in the winter of 2015.
Against her will, she was left in Nova Scotia with the instructions to assist Akantha with her pregnancy.

1. Appearance
1.1 Basics
Essentials
Species: Dog
Fur: The quality of her fur is silky and soft to the touch, although she does need to brush frequently to keep it all from tangling.
Optime Hair: As of February 2017, Camellia's hair was cut off after an encounter with Elkin Ward and is very short and choppy, framing the sides of her face. It is normally very messy as she avoids dealing with it.
Facial Features: With a rounded and large forehead and a tiny muzzle with a slightly upturned nose, Camellia looks undeniably like a dog, and a well-to-do one at that.
Build and Size: Short, petite and slender. She doesn't have a strong presence and can easily be overlooked. She has a bob-tail.
Lupus: Heaven's, no!
Optime: Although some of her siblings have chosen more feral stances, Camellia worked hard to straighten her posture and look as graceful as possible.

1.2 Miscellaneous
Adornments
Growing up in Onuba has made Camellia more humanized than most. She is almost never found not wearing some sort of clothing, and sometimes wears other accessories like jewelry.
0 lbs (0 kg) — 0 in (0 cm)
Quite obviously dog — mostly resembles an Australian Shepherd. This form is never used.
Secui
0 lbs (0 kg) — 0 in (0 cm)
Like a big dog, basically, with the beginnings of hair sprouting around her neck. This form is never used.
Optime (Preferred)
0 lbs (0 kg) — 5ft 2in (0 in / 0 cm)
Slender, small, easily looked over. She feels most comfortable in this form because of her upbringing. This is her default form.
Interaction
Speech: Very soft-spoken and overly flowery. She tries to impress everyone with her sophisticated vocabulary, however, it more often causes people to flat-out ignore her, because they can't hear her or understand what she's saying. Camellia is fluent in English (Common Tongue), Spanish and Portuguese. She has a light accent.
Scent: Flowers, Essential Oils from Onuba
Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: She tries very hard not to chew on her fingernails. Will endlessly wring her hands or brush down her blouse. She is a little neurotic and will obsess about spots or other insignificant blemishes to her appearance.
General Posture and Body Language: When standing still, she maintains a straight posture to the point of stiffness, but in motion she is half-wilted and submissive.
She grew up feeling insecure about her position in life. She did not adopt the lifestyle of her family before her, instead opting to attempt to fir in with other Amaranthe women, such as her role-model, Thalia.
There is barely an ounce of confidence within her. She fears most things, seemingly without reason, and finds it difficult to interact with others.
Her clumsiness has perhaps become one of her greatest insecurities, due to her desire to be graceful and beautiful.
Kind-hearted, Loyal, Brave
Camellia is a kind-hearted soul, and would never say anything mean about anyone without reason.
Although it is difficult for her and often leaves her a blubbering mess, Camellia stands up for what she believes in and has a strong sense of morality.
2.1 Ideals
Traits
Outlook: Idealistic
Sociability: Varies — capable when confident, mostly mutters and often feels insecure. Tends to sit still and try to look pretty.
Expression: Varies depending on comfort and confident level, generally tends to be submissive.
"Will never betray a friend and enjoys having close friends."
"Considers the needs of the community in personal life."
"Believes everyone should be treated fairly and kindly."
Interests
Likes: Reading, Theatre, Stories, playful banter (mostly other people's banter, she's too shy to banter herself), pretty things
Dislikes: Horses, livestock, getting dirty or muddy or traveling, being anything but a proper lady
Motivations
To be a strong independent woman; to become the type of woman she idolizes.
To prove to others and herself that she is capable and competent.
Fears
There is little that she isnt afraid of.
Bryan Zachary Fletcher and large wolves, although this fear does not apply to everyone, especially those she feels she has forged some sort of relationship with (for example, Shaamah)
Spirituality
A faithful of the Lantern, as it is expected of a woman in Onuban society.
Biases
Packs:
Has some belief that Sapient is fairly superior to other packs in the area due to their more humanized nature.
Harbors some fear of Inferni because of their border skulls. Does not like that they have non-Luperci within their ranks.
Non-Luperci: Like most Onubans, Camellia holds the notion that non-Luperci are barbaric and lesser beings. She doesn't like them on a personal level because they remind her of her family.
Species:
Harbors some fears of wolves because of their intimidating size and her encounter with Bryan.
Wary of coyotes, mostly due to
Gender & Sexuality: She believes in traditional roles for men and women. However, Camellia is also a little naive, curious and has an overall open-minded type of ignorance. Depending on the encounters she has with others, she could begin to accept alternative lifestyles or deeply oppose them.
Sexuality
Camellia is bisexual, but she doesn't really know that homosexuality is an option due to the stigma it holds in Onuban society. She likes people who are direct, in control, and strong.
Substances
Camellia has yet to experience anything other than alcohol. She has extremely low tolerance for it.
Would be unlikely to become highly intoxicated for fear of not seeming lady-like. Generally avoids alcohol, especially in social situations.
Akantha: Akantha is Camellia's mentor, and cousin by blood. Camellia has grown close to her since being left behind in Sapient, and she genuinely adores her second cousins. There is a lot to learn from Akantha!
Thalia Amaranthe: Camellia had heard only great stories about her relative, and she used to wish that she had been her daughter. Except, after meeting Thalia and being left behind, her idolization became less fervent and more self-reflective. Thalia was different than she thought, so what does that mean about herself?
Caoba Robles: Camellia took great comfort in Caoba during the journey from Onuba. The dog is like a big sister to her. She is always happy to see her.
Pack Relations
Shaamah: Although initially frightened of him, Camellia has decided he is "not that bad".
Laevisa Arena: Laevisa absolutely terrifies Camellia, even though the witch-woman has only ever said nice things to her. Camellia is sure that she's evil.
Scarlett Arena: Scarlett is terrifying to Camellia as well, but for different reasons than Laevisa. During their journey to Nova Scotia, Scarlett was verbally abusive and cruel, but only when they were alone together. Since then, she's always strove to never be in her company alone, or at all if she can help it.
Education and Learning: Driven to become a lady of the Courts, Camellia forsook her family's business to teach herself domestic crafts. She began her training in Onuba, and has carried over her interests to Sapient. The environment has been conducive to honing her skills.
Reading & Writing (Journeyman): Camellia was taught the fundamentals of reading and writing in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Since coming to Sapient, she has advanced significantly in her reading and writing ability.
Tailoring (Journeyman): Camellia has been sewing, stitching, crocheting and practicing her needlework since she was shifted. She does a decent job, and with time may become masterful at it.
Cooking (Apprentice): Camellia has the basics of cooking covered but still requires extensive guidance. She refers frequently to Ciellen's book of notes on different herbs and spices.
Cleaning (Journeyman): She's familiar with the tools of cleaning, but she doesn't like to touch them, become dirty or be reminded of the unsightly aspects of living. Akantha's had her busy with doing a lot of cleaning anyway. She's learned to enjoy the solitude, at least.
Book-keeping (Apprentice): There isn't a great need of this activity in Sapient, but Camellia will study under Akantha's guidance concerning Sapient's imports and exports.
Socio-Political
Education and Learning: It was always Camellia's dream to become involved in the Courts and emulate her idol, Thalia. In Onuba, she tried to attend as many functions as possible, but because she is cripplingly shy, she mostly was an observer at these events. In Sapient, she has been forced to come out of her shell, and while this makes her uncomfortable, it has also helped her improve her social abilities.
Conversation (Apprentice): She is beginning to get better at expressing herself. She has a good intuition for conversation, having been an observer most of her life, and is hyper-vigilant about other people's comfort or discomfort. With more practice, Camellia could become a great conversationalist.
Persuasion (Apprentice): Due to her lack of confidence, Camellia finds it difficult to persuade anyone of anything. Sometimes she musters up the courage to speak clearly, and when she does, people have responded well (if only out of shock). Camellia could use some coaching in this regard.
Manipulation (Apprentice): Given her natural knack for understanding social interaction, Manipulation is a skill that would come easily to Camellia if she could get some practice being confident first.
Lying (Novice): Camellia has a very, very hard time with dishonesty. She doesn't know if she should value this trait or not.

Trade
Camellia does not often engage in trade, only because she currently does not have too many items to offer. Contact Kite for more information on trading.
A room which overlooks the the yard of the estate. There are two large windows which allow for a lot of sunlight to enter the room. There is a bedframe with a large pile of furs that serve as a bed. An old table has been pulled away from the windows and is normally occupied by a jar full of flowers; a basket filled with various fabrics, thread, and other sewing materials; and a stack of various books.
