Brennt

Brennt was a mentally unstable loner who threatened the lives of, and killed, several puppies across the board. This caused great alarm in several packs, and eventually he died a violent death by the combined effort of Dawali and Cwmfen in 2009. Most of his encounters with other wolves or coyotes lead to physical confrontation, though he did have "normal" interactions with other wolves, though rarely.

1.  Life

1.1  Pre-Souls biography

Brennt was a young wolf, only a little over two years old, but he moved around for a good part of his life, ever since six months ago when his pack exiled him for taking the lives of his parents' second litter of puppies. He rejoined another pack, but fled soon thereafter, after devouring theirs. At first, he felt confused, because he had thought that his hunger for the first litter he'd seen was because they were replacing him. Now, he realizes that it is something deeper. At first, he wondered at whether or not this was a flaw, but words given to him by his mother long ago eventually convinced him that it was not, though she certainly never meant for him to take those words the way he did. "You are...closer to our ancestors than the rest of us, Brennt. You know hungers and urges and instincts that the rest of us have lost. You favor your four legs over our two, and you favor your heart over your mind. You are unique in all the land, my son." Surely, anyone else would have taken this halting admission as a sign of a mother's hesitation and continuing love, despite the faults of her baby, but Brennt never saw any negation of quality in those words. Indeed, he was different, and that is what made him unique and special. His differences set him apart, and made him good.

1.2  Arrival: February

Brennt arrived at 'Souls on February 25th, quickly finding Cwmfen nic Graine, and attacking her. The encounter is strange, and Brennt's mental difference is obvious.

1.3  Attempted murder: March

On March 13th, Brennt tries to devour puppy Mati Church in Crimson Dreams, and meets the jaws of her defender, Jazper Rhiannon-Knight.

He meets Geneva Stockholm for the first time on March 20th, as he is lurking about Phoenix Valley. He attacks her, and DaVinci 'Dait Nasphrite comes to the rescue.

On March 22nd, Brennt lurked around along AniWayan borders, and was chased off by the tribe's subleader, Dawali Amara, after making some very suspicious comments about children.

On March 24th, he slaughters a coyote family to feed on them (mature!), and is discovered by Kol Stormbringer and Alexey Koios. It becomes another violent ordeal for Brennt.

1.4  April

On April 6th, Cwmfen nic Graine seeks him out in Halifax to ask about the injuries Kol Stormbringer sustained during their encounter. No answers are found, though the warrior female learns more details of the male's past than any 'Soulster has known so far. Later the same day, she returns to find him on the Shattered Coast. They hunt together, and the female is intimate with Brennt (in his predator state). Her purpose of the encounter was to attempt to convince him to stop hunting children.

On April 12th, Brennt proves that he has not been convinced by Cwmfen, and hunts puppy Zana Avaya Lykoi, though he is interrupted by [Jazper Rhiannon-Knight]].

It continues: on April 26th, Brennt hunts a Dahlian puppy, Avarice de Sadira, though she is rescued by Cwmfen.

For the second time, Brennt feeds on a little girl named Frey, whom he finds walking through Halifax with Haku Soul on April 27th.

Later, on April 29th, Brennt attacks puppy Noir Aston just inside AniWayan territory. Sibling sister Ocèane Aston attempts a rescue Noir, although both become injured. The attack is not called off until the arrival of Firefly Sadira, who had been randomly in the area. After howling for help, she set off chasing after the now fleeing predator. Brennt returned to his normal self and fled, and Firefly returned to the puppies, finding that they were injured, but alive.

1.5  May

On May 31st , Brennt encounered Miriette morte dre Soul and her puppy friend Cinder? in Phoenix Valley. Ramming the puppy first, giving her serious injuries, he charged Miriette while the child lay dying. Eventually DaVinci 'Dait Nasphrite turns up to rescue Miriette, but Cinder does not live.

1.6  End

On June 5th, Cwmfen seeks out Brennt. The two fight and Brennt escapes with injuries on both sides. During the escape, he encounters Dawali and the two stare each other down for a few, short moments.

On June 15th, Cwmfen seeks out the injured Brennt who is healing in Halifax, with the intent to end her enemy. Again, the two enemies deal heavy damage to each other, and once again Brennt escapes to his dwelling in Halifax, leaving Cwmfen wounded and unable to finish the job. It is up to Dawali to finish what they started. Sustaining massive injuries and very nearly dying, Dawali manages to tear two of the predator's main arteries, and Brennt bleeds out during the night as Dawali attempts to reach home and help in AniWaya.

3.  Appearance

Detailed physical description: Brennt is a big wolf, both long, tall, and thick for his height. He is mostly dark gray, with streaks of brown along his sides and black hairs scattered over his body. His eyes are yellow, with a glazed cast indicative that he isn't all there most of the time. This quality usually leaves his eyes when he is hunting or fighting.
