Azalea de la Cyra

Azalea de la Cyra is a former member of Anathema. She was originally brought in as a prisoner, but freed after becoming friends with the Atheed at the time, Axelle Napier. She was then offered to join the pack of misfits and eventually took the rank of Dasa (Warrior). She had a dull hatred for Kentaro Lykoi after he forced his mother Aeron Ganesa off of the throne, and she was minorly involved in a coup that took place to kill him in 2014. The Coup was later broken up before they could do any real damage; she was never found out.

In February 2016, after hearing that Axelle left Anathema for good, Azalea decided that she, too, would leave. She made plans to find her old crew in Halifax, but has been living alone out there ever since.

A P P E A R E N C E

Azalea carries all the traits of a typical Wolf in her head, ears, fur, and snout. She is tall and lean, coming in at about 7' when in Optime form. Her fur is pure white, but littered with many scars that she mainly received from fights, ranging from scrapes, to slices, to bite marks. Her only striking feature is her bright lavender eyes, which stand out drastically against her pale coat. In Optime form, she wears her unkempt, wavy hair down, thrown to the side, or tied up in a messy ponytail or braid. She doesn't bother with clothing, and can be seen either wearing her armor (a leather chestpiece, a leather skirt) or nothing at all. Despite her plain looks, she is anything but. Azalea always walks with a swagger about her, throwing her shoulders back and holding her head up high.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Azalea is tough to get along with - she has a rather challenging personality, which deters many from her, but is characteristic for the most part. She's sassy, practical, a little aloof, but on the inside she's also fearful and lonely. She does what she needs to survive (in a pack, and outside of a pack) and prioritizes that. Usually, she is eager to show her worth and climb higher in the ranks, but Anathema and its new Angelo has made her wary. Sometimes, she's unsure of which path to take. Azalea likes a challenge. She's always up to sparring with other members and learning new things. She likes to experience life to the fullest and doesn't mind learning new, useful skills.

When angered, Azalea is not quiet. She will either yell or become violent towards the person who made her angry. Sometimes, in special circumstances, she'll be able to compose herself and plot something against the offender to get them back. However, Azalea is very careful not to make a fool out of herself in front of others.

S K I L L S

• Hand-to-Hand Combat (Master): Azalea was ranked as a soldier in the gang she belonged to, and because of this, she spent countless hours training and becoming better.
• Dual-Wield Swordmanship (Journeyman): She only just started sword training when she became an official member of Anathema, but has evolved her training with wielding two weapons (axes or swords). She's also skilled with wielding just one.
  • Sword Maintenance (Journeyman): Azalea knows sharpening and general care of swords and daggers.
• Archery (Master): Azalea is very skilled with a longbow.
• Stealth (Journeyman): She's still learning the art herself, but has enough skill to be able to help others as well.

B A C K G R O U N D

Azalea was born a loner in Michigan, and after her mother died and she was old enough to survive on her own, she did. Nature had not been very nice to her - it took away all of her siblings and her mother, but she would never disclose what happened to them. She left her father at a early age and never turned back. It was from then that she learned to survive on her own, and had been a loner for much of her life. There were few instances where she lived as a pack wolf for a while - before eventually leaving again to move on.

She came to Halifax in the Spring of 2011 and joined the Dresden Row Street Gang, which consisted of a bunch of hardened thugs. There were about six males and 2 other females with them, but none of them were at all nice. They taught her to be cold and untrusting; they taught her how to fight, use a bow and generally fight for her life. If she hadn't, she wouldn't be alive to this day.

Eventually, Azalea took on the Gang mentality and became a respected member, even though she was still viewed as expendable no matter how hard she tried. She became really good at swords and the longbow. She would join the Gang as they raided ignorant travelers in the city that they called home - Halifax.

There was this one time that they were unsuccessful, and that was when the Dresden Row Street Gang ended. It was the day she met Axelle Napier and Mido face-to-face. It was then that all of the members of her Gang were killed off except for her and one other of its useless members - Cain. She and Cain were taken as hostages to serve this place called Anathema as communal slaves.

Since Azalea never speaks of her family, not much is known about her truly having one. She surrounds herself with friends and allies, and that seems to be enough.
