By Mel!

Antioch was a coyote-heavy member of Inferni, holding a position on the Triumvirate until the time of his death.

One of Priest de le Poer and Symera Villisca's many children, Antioch was raised by his family to view wolves and high-percentage wolf hybrids as his enemy. Like many of his siblings, Antioch left home and traveled to Inferni, joining the clan in mid-summer of his first year. When the Inferi and Cour des Miracles War broke out, Antioch was quick to see an opportunity to make use of his abilities. He acted dutifully (and often fervently) for Inferni, accompanied by his friend Ferret, who was killed during the conflict by a loner. Antioch diligently performed as a combatant for the Clan until the war's climax.

The aftermath of the war and the wake of Ferret's death spurred a friendship between Antioch and Versace Inferni. While he initially acted as something of a bodyguard for her, the two regularly spent time together and grew to be close friends. Following the meteorite strike (and an unplanned pregnancy), Antioch and Versace officiated their relationship as mates. They had several children together.

During The Second Boreas Conflict, Antioch was an active participant in the defense of Inferni, and was notably responsible for the death of Boreas' second-in-command, Bethlehem Anders. He was struck by the Spring Sickness that followed during the next season, though made a full recovery by summer. During that time his sister was assaulted by a fellow clanmate, whom Antioch helped drive from Inferni after failing to kill him.

In the fall, Antioch's eldest son Omar was killed by a member of Salsola, and soon both packs launched into war. This brutal and bloody conflict would end with the burning of the D'Neville Mansion and Inferni's subsequent surrender and move eastward. There, Antioch attempted to continue his duties as best he could. Following the birth of his final child, and subsequent illness that plagued his wife, Antioch became desperate to provide in an increasingly unfavorable situation. Versace's death would propel him into a strange state, distancing himself from his children and the struggling Clan. He began hearing voices and grew increasingly paranoid.

No one knows exactly what happened to Antioch, who disappeared that summer. He met an untimely end, though his body was lost in The Stellarton Mines? and his death was never confirmed.

  • Fur: A plush, sable-colored coat.

    • Secui: 145 lbs (66 kg) ↔ 42 in (107 cm)

    • Knife scar across left side of muzzle.
  • Tattoos:

Interaction

  • Form: Unless otherwise noted, Antioch remains in his Secui form.
  • Speech: Antioch is extremely quiet; when he does talk he tends to do so sparingly. He has a deep, rough voice. (And idk maybe he sounds like Captain Holt.)
  • Scent: Inferni (salt, honeysuckle, marshes, horses, coyote), his nuclear family, dust, grass, cave.
  • Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: Antioch will often repeat himself when he speaks, and is often very physical when he talks. He regularly uses religious metaphors in conversation.
  • General Posture and Body Language: By and large, Antioch often looks as if he's not paying attention to what's going on around him. He is extremely disengaged as a whole, unless he finds conversation or events particularly interesting.

Coloration

  • Pelt:
    • Primarily Clay Creek all over.
    • His underside, legs, inner-ear fur and eye-dots are all Bison Hide.
  • Markings:
    • Cinnamon fur runs up his legs and reaches to his shoulders and hips. His ears are this same color, which again appears on his muzzle to remind everyone he is a Lykoi.

2.  Personality

  • Stoic, Forthright, Prejudiced
    • Stern-faced and quiet, Antioch is not lacking in emotions but very far removed from them. Some of this is due to trauma – incidents like the murder of his best friend and the betrayal of a superior officer have deeply wounded him. Unwilling to connect or properly open up with others, Antioch seems likewise focused on making sure he doesn't show any perceived emotional weakness.
    • In contrast, there seems to be no filter when it comes to how Antioch talks to others. He tends not to waste his breath and is not a very good liar – he would tell someone his honest opinion on a matter without worrying about their feelings, for example.
    • The rhetoric of Antioch's family has long been one of anti-wolf thought, and he is amongst its followers. He has unwavering thoughts on wolves, which include their perceived “impurity” on a spiritual level. Blanket opinions make up Antioch's perception on many other species.
  • Obedient, Erratic, Violent
    • Though his upbringing was not strict it was disciplined, and the nature of this aligned with Antioch's well. He does best in a structured setting, and when there are clear rules to follow – however, he enjoys his autonomy and tends to behave poorly under micro-management.
    • Some impulses are stronger than others. For all of his self-discipline, Antioch sometimes “snaps” – or does something he would not usually do.
    • Perhaps predictably, Antioch is quick to engage in confrontation. He likes fighting and his confidence in this skill leads him to be the aggressor in conflicts.

Traits

  • Tropes: Blood Knight, Smarter Than He Looks, War Hawk
  • Expression: Stern, gruff, closed-off
  • Sociability: Relatively social, though generally only as it relates to work (has few close friends, avoids crowds)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
    • "Respects the laws and authority figures of the community and nation."
    • "Considers public service in a leadership role an honor."
    • "Will give his life in defense of his community."
    • "Will take actions to aid others during times of crisis, even if unprofitable to do so. "

Biases

Sexuality

  • Asexual
    • Antioch is not interested in and does not desire sexual activity, either within or outside of a relationship.
    • Emotional bonds are another matter, as is affection. In both cases, Antioch is extremely limited with his outward displays of these.

Spiritually

  • Follows an Abrahamic monotheistic religion based on Catholicism.
    • Special emphasis on a direct personal duty to God by means of "saving" others.
    • Belief in an overall powerful evil (The Devil) and his lesser influence (demons) in the world.

Motivations

  • Inferni
  • His family
  • God
  • Coyote superiority

Fears

  • Violence against his family.
  • Disappointing his family/Inferni.
  • Damnation
  • Failing to fulfill his duty (wolf persecution).

Interests

  • Likes: Being alone, hunting, fighting.
  • Dislikes: Wolves, Salsola, disrespect to Inferni/his family.

Substances

  • Lives a completely sober life.
    • Antioch has drunk alcohol before, but is unlikely to do so again.

3.  Relationships

3.1  Family

4.  Skills

Strengths

  • Combat: Initially taught by his parents and elder siblings, Antioch refined his talents with experience. He has done more regular training within Inferni, and served during the war between Inferni and Cour des Miracles, The Second Boreas Conflict, and the Inferni-Salsola War.
    • Feral (Master)
    • Unarmed (Competent)
    • Armed
      • Small Weapons (Knives): (Apprentice)
      • Archery: (Competent)
  • Theology (Master): Antioch is exceptionally well-versed with both the Old and New Testaments of the Catholic Holy Bible. He recognizes that there are variations of his faith, though views them as less legitimate.
  • Falconry (Ravens) (Journeyman): "Chosen" by his partner Scout, Antioch began learning about ravens from the bird. Vesper and Cartier helped teach him the nuances of Low Speech, which he is fluent in.
  • Speleology (Competent): Having lived in a cave system for several years, Antioch is knowledgeable about these types of formations.

Weaknesses

  • Hostile: Due to personal experience and prejudice, Antioch is likely to engage in violence with little provocation.
  • Stubborn: Once his mind is made up, there's really nothing that can be done to change it.
