Amos Gaines is the son of the late Javier Gaines who solidified a kingdom centered around a wetland once called Cheyenne Bottoms, in Kansas. His mother is named Susannah, Javier's second wife. The Kingdom was dubbed "Gran Humedal" He is descended from Nomads who slowly migrated north from South America, picking up new practices and beliefs as they moved. After a few generations finally settled in Kansas, and in a few more the Gaines had acquired enough land and subjugated enough people to forge a kingdom. With two heirs already well on their way to being good candidates for succession, Javier decided to strengthen his ties to the religion that had been adopted at the founding of the kingdom. Amos was sent to become a priest, which wouldn't affect the Gaines bloodline at all, considering priests were allowed to marry. As Amos grew, it was clear to the clergy that he could do more than just preach. Convincing Javier to change the laws of succession from primogeniture to tanistry. Amos was regarded well by the people, and most of the clergymen were able to vote.
His brothers, annoyed by this, decided to assassinate Amos so to secure the throne for one or the other. Amos's bodyguard caught wind of the plan and when Javier died at the most opportune time for Asher and Rapha, she took the coydog and fled. They wound up in New Orleas where Amos fell to the vices of the city and incurred a lot of debt. To pay it off he sold everything he had and finally himself. He was traded a few times before he escaped in the 'Souls area and was found by a hunting party near Salsola's border.
Amos will be acquired by Till Van Ulrich-Lykoi and shall serve under The Jagermeister as a personal servant until his debt is seen as paid.

Description:
Amos looks very doggish, not a lick of his body's physicality bears much if any reference to his Coyote lineage, however, his coat betrays it well. Where there is no white, there is coyote. His short fur exacerbates his ear size, though they are a little large with small holes near the outside edges show that he once wore jewelry, though it has long since been sold. The man's face is primarily white with a ruddy, pink nose at the end of his long muzzle. He has complete heterochromia with one eye a pale baby blue, and the other a dark brown. An arm of brown reaches from his right ear and engulfs his right eye. A ring of white encircles his face and neck, only cut by his ears at the top of his head. The white carries to his underbelly and tucks under his arms and thighs, as well as making "gloves" around his hands and feet. His arms, hips, and back are a typical coyote pattern and color. Paw pads are a darker pinkish color.
Optime Hair: Short yet shaggy, mostly white save for near his ears. He preferred it long while living in Gran Humadel, however life on the road and in slavery taught him the dangers of having an easy spot to be grabbed from on your head. He cut his long hair and sold it to help pay back debts.
The relative safety within Till's household has made Amos feel safe enough to grow out his hair once more, though he's willing to cut it if he's ever grabbed again.
Build and Size:
Comparatively small the many luperci, Amos stands on two legs at 5'9" and weighs 150lbs. He's lithe with well toned muscles. He looks quite strange in his secui form, muscular bulk on a hound's build is rather odd to see. And finally in lupus form he is very streamlined for running with long powerful legs and a large chest.

On the sides of both his wrist, caused by his attempt to wriggle from his rope restraints once he broke free. He hopes that his fur will regrow.

Speech: Clear and resonant, his voice carries far when he wants it to. He speaks with and Midland American accent gently kissed with Spanish.
Scent: Smells quite like the Ulirch household now, not one lick of sea left from when he stood on warm shores and was cargo on ships.
Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: Often taps on things to a silent beat, often singing and playing music in his head. Will sing spur of the moment songs.
General Posture and Body Language: If spied on his lonesome, Amos seems to stand confident or relaxed. Though when around others of a higher station, he is very submissive and sometimes anxious.
Amos is a careful man as he had been scorned many a times by strangers in his life. Despite this he tries to see the best in everyone while only seeing the worst in himself. While he does have a poor self-image, his pride prevents him from showing it. No king nor priest should be as low and in low character as he. Acknowledging the wrongs he has committed, the man tries to atone for them by being better. As a Christian he knows he should be kind and should care for others, give freely, and accept his station without wanting more. However he's traveled the quite a bit of the world for most Luperci, and has been bought and sold here and there. Wrath, greed, lust, and envy all dwell in his mind and they manifest worst ways, though they're usually pointed at himself. Amos wishes to be a free man once more, and aspires to be the philosopher king he was supposed to become, and so he hates the fact that he's a slave.
Amos enjoys learning about people and their customs, it was the only benefit of being on the run and a slave. The man got to immerse himself in cultures foreign to his own. He is naturally curious and often speaks about religion with well-mannered folks he comes across. He tries to convert friends, though won't push it if they decline. He doesn't care too much for magic and mysticism, as he's seen much of the charlatans on the streets of New Orleans putting on shows and selling their snake oil and powerless charms. However the secret gatherings in the woods type of things do intrigue him, as those who practice such acts are not clearly in it for personal gain.
The coydog is a performer through and through, toting a lute and a wonderful singing voice. Amos loves sharing his talent with others. Pretty women especially, though he knows they've been his downfall a few times now. He is very romantic, and though he hasn't acted in any plays, loved watching them during his time in Louisiana.
Motivations: Amos wishes to become a better man and repent for the bad deeds he has done. He wants to rid the world of corrupting influences, though there is no righteous fury behinf that smoldering ember.
Fears: He fears that he will remain a slave for the rest of his life.
Interests
Likes: Playing music, singing, beautiful women, peace and quiet.
Dislikes: Himself, Hades, Till's revealing skirt.
Biases
Packs: The ridgid structure of Salsola, while familiar, is not preffered by the male.
Species: The only animals he seems to really care for, save for his own species, are amphibians and snails.
Non-Luperci: While canines are better than other creatures, Luperci are the epitome of brilliance. Those who do not have the gift are unfortunate, those who cannot obtain it even more so, but those who shun it are fools.
Gender: Men should be the ones who lead. Women can be just as dangerous as men, though their machinations are often unknown until the trap has sprung and you're ensnared.
Color: None whatsoever.
Sexuality: Amos is homophobic and believe marriage should be between man and woman.
Age: Elders are wise and should be listened to. Pups are the future and should be taught today's knowledge so they may find more in their time.
Sexuality
Amos is attracted to both men and women, though he is very uncomfortable with the former. He will fawn over meek men and unconsciously flirt with most men he finds handsome. However, if he develops feelings or feels lust for them, he will make himself scarce or shun them. To repent and rid himself of these urges, Amos will flagellate with whatever he can find. With women he is cautious, but is always thwarted by a pretty face and kindness. Booze, much like for everyone, lowers his inhibitions and makes him very, very impious. When drunk he'd sleep with any "good lady" who offers, men are not exempt from that either.
Spirituality
Brought up by the clergy, Amos is a Christian through and through. The Sect he worshiped in had beliefs far different from human Christians back in the day. Polygamy was allowed, in fact men in power were expected to have more than one wife, and perhaps some concubines on top of that. They believed Jesus was not a man, but a Luperci dog who died for Man's sin. They believe that the rapture came for humans already and another will come for them as well. While Amos does subscribe to this, he also has developed his own ideas in his travels and still follow his family's traditions. He places great value in honoring, remembering, and paying tribute to his ancestors. He's also very interested in the spooky goings on out in the woods, for his mother was a witch and he didn't get the chance to learn from her.
Upon realizing that the abuse he faced did not begin in slavery, but at home, Amos has had a lapse of faith. He is struggling to find value in what the priests in Gran Humadel taught. He's walking a line of losing all faith, or attempting to figure it out on his own.
Substances
Amos enjoyed chewing and smoking tobacco, though his addiction to it was forcefully broken during his time as a slave. Booze on the other hand is best friend who convinces him to make poor decisions. His tolerance for alcohol is a bit greater than most luperci of his size, due to his consumption of distilled rum during his time as a play thing in the Caribbean. He has taken psychedelics, and wishes to again, but only once he feels he is ready and has bettered himself. Marijuana is a different story. He has smoked the plant, however does not enjoy the sluggish feeling it gives him.
Mother: Amos was very close to his mother Susannah, even though the clergy told him not to be swayed by her witchy ways. She was his mother, and so he loved her as her son. He tried to convert her as he was indoctrinated into the church, which she denied telling Amos it would only be fair if he knew of her religion first. He was willing to at least see what hers had to offer, however was unable to due to having to flee his home.
Father: Amos looked up to Javier, though wasn't really raised by him. He emulated his father, however, striving to be a leader.
Siblings: There are many, though most as half-siblings.
Sisters: Amos only had two sisters in his litter, and due to the fact that they were female, he didn't get to know them all that well as they grew up. Though as pups they were thick as thieves. As they grew, Amos was pulled into the church, whereas his sister stayed closer to their mother.
Half-Sisters: This batch was abundant. Javier's first wife's first two litters consisted only of females. Amos knew them in the court, but didn't know them all that well.
Half-Brothers: Only two, Amos didn't get along with them that well. Both Asher and Rapha wanted the throne and thus saw Amos as competition. They often teased their half-brother and gave him plenty of hell as he grew up. They also plotted his assassination, which certainly sullied any hopes of a positive relationship.

Hades Ars Paulina Amos's main source of verbal and physical torment within Salsola. Once easily upset by the barbarian, Amos has been able to turn the arguments and teasings around, to Hades's chargin.
Notable Relations
Coaxoch Amos is very willing to help this Ulrichson, though their relationship doesn't go much farther than that.
Dirge Trombetta-Ulrich A rival in the kitchen for Amos, always taking away his chances to do something he has some skill in. Amos and Dirge don't get along well when it comes to food prep, otherwise their relationship is mostly neutral.
Spartacus Simone Ulrich Amos cares about this Ulrichson. Though Spartacus does not allow him to assist or show care, Amos tries to keep a watchful eye on the angry brat.
Rum Queen Paulina A woman Amos fell madly in love with, she was also a past owner of his. She had him do cruel things, and he was willing to please her.
Edena She was the bodyguard who saved the young prince's life by taking him and fleeing far to the south. She cared for him and protected him, even as the stupid boy made bad decisions. The strong woman was devastated when Amos sold himself, and is likely trying to track down his owners.
Amos has a beautiful voice and a knack for stringed instruments. Being able to play songs by ear and being able to make new ones, he's surely to rock the socks off anyone he meets.
Reading/Writing Journeyman:
He was brought up in a church, and was meant to become a priest, so of course he'd learn to read and write. While not the fastest at it, he is able to read and write almost every word he comes across. Every one in The Bible at least.
Fighting: Whip Journeyman:
It may seem strange for a slave to hold a whip, but for Amos it was like an extension of his body. He has used one prior back in Gran Humadel, but only when he was in the arms of The Rum Queen did he use it one offensively. While he can crack the whip well and hurt folks pretty badly with it, he is by no means a battle master. His time with the whip has allowed him to find less violent ways to use it. He is capable of putting on shows with the whip, dancing with it and making it crack.
Auxiliary Skills and Hobbies
Housework Journeyman:
Paulina loved to make Amos work around her home. Cleaning every room and cooking and serving her food. He quickly became good at the jobs so to avoid punishment from the cruel Rum Queen.
Horse riding Apprentice:
Horses were the main way his people traveled, however Amos spent most of his time in the church and with the clergymen. There was no need for him to climb onto a horse and ride into the sunset, but due to their prevalence of use he did learn a thing or two.
Fishing Dabbler:
Floating down the Mississippi and spending time in New Orleans Amos had time to drown a worm or two, but only that as he was quickly taken in by the sights and sounds of the city. He knows enough to bait a hook and pull in something, but that's about it.
4. Inventory
Trade

It was here where Amos spent his formative years. Having a privileged upbringing, naturally as a prince, was taught to read and write by the clergymen. Strict but easy was his life within the church. He was well-liked by the governing body within the church, however he was oblivious to the grooming they performed on him so to make him their pawn, should he take his father's throne.
Amos acquired his greatest friend Edena when he turned the tables on her father who was publically shaming her for not living up to her role as a woman of the faith. She was expected to be a housewife, dutiful to her husband. She had not married, and she was training to fight like a man, as well as learning to work metal which was considered a man's job. Amos chastised Edena's father, claiming he was stifling someone with clear talent, and explained to him that there were warrior women in the packs his grandfather had conquered, warrior women with children. He pointed out that Edena could still fulfill her duties and maintain her lifestyle. While it was in flagrant opposition to the church's teachings, her father was forced to bow to the prince's word. Edena then vowed to serve Amos as his bodyguard, even if she were to take a husband, and Amos accepted. She had protected him prior from his brothers, but that was when he was a scruffy nipper just learning to ride a horse.
When Javier Gaines passed and the throne was in interregnum, Edena caught wind of Rapha and Asher's plan to take Amos out of the picture. Stealing two horses, a wagon, and the crown, the warrior woman grabbed the only man who stuck up for her and fled. Together they made their way to the Mississippi river, dodging scouts from Grand Humadel along the way. Slowly slinking down the great river on a raft, Amos and Edna prepared for their new life in New Orleans.
New Orleans was a far different place than Gran Humadel. Religious a plenty, different languages, foods, and music. It was the music that Amos really took to. Once he got his hands on a stringed instrument, the man learned to strum, and strum beautifully he did. The prince was able to cajole small crowds with both his voice and his music, and could have made a small, comfortable penny for he and Edena, if he wouldn't slip into the foul vices of the city.
It was in New Orleans where the pious prince began to taste the life of sin. It wasn't a quick affair, no his descent into debauchery was a slow slide down into the pit. In the end he found he loved the bottle as much as the ladies he slept with, though the former was a bit more rare than the booze. Gambling became his vice as he slowly trickled away his trinkets. Starting with food, going to jewelry and finally to things he didn't have a right putting in the winnings pot.
Grief stricken for selling a contract that never existed, essentially forcing Edena into servitude to a gambler he lost to, Amos tried his damnedest to rectify his mistake. Pawning off what baubles he still had, selling their remaining horse, even cutting his long, beautiful hair and selling that, it still wasn't enough in the gambler man's eyes. So finally he offered himself and all he had to offer. Amos served briefly as the gambler's scribe until he was lost as a bet to some slavers who had came into port. Bidding Edena goodbye, Amos was whisked away with his pretty voice, melodious voice, and masterful plucking fingers.
When the slavers stopped in port at a port on the Island St. John of the Virgin Islands, he caught the eye of a wealthy woman by the name of Paulina. Paulina hailed from Spain, or so she said, and owned a plantation as well as a brothel and distillery on the island. Amos's pretty face was all that she needed to see, and purchased the young man from the slavers for a sum of rum and a few free nights in the brothel. The prince was certain he was going to work in the whorehouse, but to his surprise, Paulina had taken him as a house servant.
He was Paulina's plaything. Though Amos didn't like his new lot in life, he came to enjoy it. Sharing a bed with a beautiful, albeit mature, woman, and having a relatively lazy life, what wasn't there to like? Though he smiled and obeyed her every command, Amos couldn't help but feel he was betraying his family and their pack's laws and tradition. He wasn't supposed to do the woman's work, hell, he ought to be the one making the orders. However, he knew he was a slave, he had no say in what he would do, as much as he would have liked to.
Eventually Amos's luster was lost, and Paulina spied a taller, stronger, handsome man brought to her island to be traded. Some hooch and Amos, and that other man was her. Amos was saddened to leave the company of the Rum Queen, having fallen for her. However, once again he was on board a ship, this time sailing northward to colder waters and weather.
