1. AU Contest
An Alternate Universe was a non-canon LASKY contest in which players paired up to write their character in a given situation within an alternate universe! Participants were given lists of acceptable AU themes and specific prompts to choose to base their thread off of. Once roleplaying was complete, 'Soulsters then voted on the best threads in several categories. The contest was run in 2020 and again in 2021.

Players were given two categories to pick from to set up their AU threads.
Prize
Winners from each category received a cool galaxy icon with the hovertext "out of this world."AU Options
- Mundane Life AU (e.g. Coffee Shop, Florist, Tattooist)
- Specific Media AU (e.g. Hogwarts, Daemon, Hunger Games, Pacific Rim, etc.)
- High School or College AU
- High Fantasy AU
- Historical AU (e.g. Regency, Western, Victorian, etc.)
Prompts
- Your characters meet in a ______, when something strange occurs!
- Your characters are _______, when an argument gets out of hand!
- Your characters are trying to _______, when something goes horribly wrong!
- Your characters face a terrible dilemma, but at least there's _______!
- Your characters don't want to _______, but there's an offer they can't refuse!
