General Information

I'm not a very strict adopter and prefer to let you do whatever you want with the character within reason, but it will depend on the character you have picked up. I will mostly give you free range to develop your character as you will. I will not get involved with anything you do not want me to, and will give you as much space as you want with your characters. I may make suggestions or requests, but you are free to ignore them unless it's an part of an agreed upon adoption clause: make sure you read character information carefully before applying!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to PM me, or send me a message on discord. I am often available and am willing to answer any questions about adoptables as well as help with brainstorming.

Samples should reflect the character you want to adopt; they are required unless otherwise noted.

Contract Types

Strict
Characters with prominent restrictions

  • Characters that may have an extensive amount of development already, or may be very plot-intensive characters.
  • I will often be more selective for the players that take these characters.
  • Pre-adoption changes must be discussed, post-adoption contract terms may be tighter.
  • Communication is expected of players of these characters.

Moderate
Characters with some restrictions.

  • Characters with either some play-time or some restrictions to their backgrounds or conditions.
  • Pre-adoption changes are generally not allowed, especially for characters with previous play.
  • Their adoption clauses may have some guidelines that should be adhered to.
  • Communication is often expected but no permissions are required for most development
    • excluding any adoption clauses

Relaxed
Characters generally open terms.

  • Pre-adoption changes are welcome or necessary, as the characters may have very loose information if any.
  • The characters will rarely have any guidelines on packs, goals, traits, etc.. and are open to the adopter.
  • I do not expect to be kept in the loop in general.

Specific Terms

I may choose to reclaim the character if you have:

  • been removed in an activity sweep and have not responded to contact after 2 weeks
  • dropped them for a long period of time (6+ months since character was dropped)
  • dropped them with only brief play (0 - 5 months, 0 - 50 posts, etc.)
  • been permanently banned from 'Souls
  • broken a specific term of the adoption contract
  • not picked up the character within the time limit given at the time of application acceptance.

I may not adopt to players who:

  • Constantly pick up, drop, and switch characters.
  • Have adopted from me before, only to drop the character.
  • Who constantly ask for adoptables, then fail to join with the adoptable.
  • Show severe streaks of inactivity, constant absenteeism, etc.

Baubles

Original Baubles

  • Anything (art, titles, icons, etc.) originally given with the adoptable remains with the adoptable.

Gift art and gift graphics

  • Typically reclaimed with an adoptable. If you're attached to a graphic, let me know.

Commissioned and bought art

  • These are considered your property. As such, new players must request your permission to use such items, even in the case of art customized to that particular character. You are welcome to give me permission to retain these items should you drop.

Titles and icons

  • Regardless of method earned (ie via game points, contests, or purchased), they are considered your's; however, you must request removal/transfer in a timely manner (ie. 1 month) or forfeit them to the account.

Available Families

You are free to create members of these families after discussing it with me. Most requests will be approved unless they interfere with already established information. You may add to family trees as you see fit.

Lumen Romani

While not every family will be available to join, there are countless ways to incorporate a character into the Lumen Romani. Very lenient, all you really need to do is ask in most cases!
